Do you mean the "dying my hair. trying not to turn the entire bathroom black" one? I feel like I would use "dyeing my hair" to refer to if I was getting my hair dyed, no matter who was doing the dyeing.

Something about the wording makes me think Phil was doing it himself- if it was a professional doing it for him, why would he be worried about the dye getting everywhere? Surely a trained hair dresser wouldn't stain a bathroom, but an amateur dye-master like Phil might.

Didnt Dan say sth at the beggining of the year about getting like professional piano lessons to play better or sth. And one the of the theories about that "that week in March" is that it might be a secret project. What if this secret project is perhaps a duet with Dan playing the piano and Phil singing since we all know he has a deep voice and (in my imagination atleast) thats like good singing material, considering what we've heard before.
I dont know, i probably shouldnt waste more time imagining this because im only torturing myself but you know we never expected that Amazing baking video either or ever imagined that Dan would ever actually curl Phils hair for us on camera but it is 2017 (post baking universe and all ) So just

I think you are half right: I don't think Phil will be singing, but I do believe Dan is practicing to play piano either in a ls or vid. I feel very certain of this now that you pointed out the possibility. That week in March was probs him interviewing or trying out chemistry with various piano instructors. Sounds like a horrible week for someone with social anxiety. It makes so much sense too about him needing more time. Also, in a ls in the new apartment there was hinting that he would play something in the future. I really think an IDBer is going to be proven right once again! Premature congratulations!

old news, phil's secret family and the two apartments theory gave it away

plus we even leaned in "who's your youtuber bff" video that Phil's best friend is actually Stampy Cat, not Dan... In fact, I've heard a rumor that Phil's planning to drop Dan altogether and start the Stampy and Phil Games channel we were promised back in 2015!

They're friends, nothing more. They holiday together with Bryony. They take great delight in taking photos/videos that will get you talking.

For real though, none of us know if they are just putting on a giant show. Though that amount of commitment and acting skills would definitely deserve an Oscar.

i think this would be slightly amusing, if it wasn't the argument(conversation, more like) that has already been had over and over again, and is also what you see on most "DAN AND PHIL ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!! PHAN ISN'T REAL!!!!!! THEY'RE QUEERBAITING!!!!!!! THEY JUST WANT YOUR STUPID 13 YEAR OLD PHANNIE'S MONEY!!!!" posts floating around. mix that with a tone that implies you think you're doing a big favor by letting us in on this "insider" information and i'm just rolling my eyes

how do you guys feel about dan or/and phil collaborating with other youtubers?
i know they've been in a few others this past year and included anthony in both of their channels but i personally really like all the old collab videos they've done with louise, joe, tyler, etc.
i just watched ricky dillon's video (where he has mentioned dan and phil a few times) and i genuinely think he's a sincere person and throughout some of his videos since ive noticed people leave comments that he should collab with them.
is this a likelihood that could happen?
i wonder how many collab offers these two get from american youtubers when they go to vidcon or playlist and how many they've said no to....
ricky is also good friends with shane dawson and i know D&P wouldn't collab with shane (which is sad because dan has mentioned shane in good light regarding his interest in starting youtube and he's even mentioned in TABINOF) but with his [shane] past and recent conspiracy theories revolving around them [dan and phil], it seems like a slim chance.
i just wonder if associations with youtubers they both may not want to get mixed with refrains from other youtubers to have a chance to collab with them.

I do feel like they're increasingly insular, but I think part of it might be that there seems to be less overlap between Flipside and Gleam these days. They're not relying on each other's audiences to boost their own views - I don't know if that's just because there were diminishing returns on it or what.

It seems more likely that they'd collab with American youtubers, but they might be at a point where they just consider it something they'll do because they want to or like the person they asked (Anthony, Shawna, Cat) and not because it will hugely benefit them. I mean, did Dan or Phil get any kind of subscriber boost from Anthony? It looked like Anthony got most of the benefit there.

Ooh, just as I was about to hit submit I remembered Rosanna. That was last year, not this year, but that actually might have been them doing a collab with a youtuber because the youtuber had more subscribers than them.

I'd say we've only got about another three years. Dan did say that he might get a girlfriend when he's 29. He just wanted to spend his twenties playing video games with his platonic friend/flat mate/frequent YouTube collaborator. (It's just convenient is all.)
Dan won't handle the pressure of turning 30 nearly as well as Phil has, he'll have another crisis, move out, then find a lovely wife and have some lovely children. 2022 was never going to happen when 2020 comes first. Stay woke people.

To be fair you might be on to something... if anyone is going to have a huge 'turning-30' crisis it's Dan. He'll move out from Phil, rebrand into a prank channel and start featuring women in bikinis in his thumbnails. The signs are all there!
