I gotta admit I find myself not super enthused to listen to that show again just because the secondhand embarrassment hit strong - I think Dan's story seemed way worse to me than Phil and I think it comes down to the fact that Dan's story involved having to explain something to another person with no real way to explain yourself out of it, while Phil seems to have gotten away with just him and Dan knowing about his embarrassment?

I also question the head of marketing for Harper Collins just dropping by for a chat DURING A PANDEMIC I mean in general I don't want anyone to ever drop by for a chat but why would you show up unannounced to someone's house in a situation like this? You can catch up over zoom.

The user stories were just a nope. Sorry people you're all valid I just have too much sympathetic anxiety over things like that. If someone else wants to do timestamps, please do, though!!

i got such secondhand embarrassment from the stereo too, i struggle with things like that. i debated recording one of mine but thought better of it. i can't tell a story without rambling on and i'd just embarrass myself before i even got to the actual embarrassing part!!

Trust me - if your bins are only collected fortnightly (as is the case for some bins in London) and you remember at 2am they're getting collected in the morning, you be putting them out at 2am.

I was trying to think of something to go with 'gays' but the only thing I could think of was 'going nowhere gays' as in like, they aren't leaving the house, but it just sounds rude, like they're unsuccessful or something (which they very much aren't)
