Everyone is welcome here (obviously providing they don't break the forum rules).

I remember my first time on a D&P forum before IDB existed, I posted a lot and felt like people didn't like me as no one really replied to my posts. I persisted though and carried on posting, and over time I then replied to other people and visa versa. The more I posted and joined in the conversation (& not just in the main thread) I felt like I created a bond with other people and enjoyed posting more and more. I hope you, and the others who have expressed a similar feeling do carry on posting as even though people don't always reply, they will be reading your posts. I read every single post but sometimes I just don't have the time to reply, but I do appreciate every one who takes the time to post on here.

Oh, Phil's arms. Yes. So pretty. It's great to see the freckles more these days.

Loved the video, they're both so into it, so many orgasmic noises, such a cute in-sync giggle 5 minutes in. I like the house, the layout's quite neat. I love the colour scheme in the living room especially the rug. Kitchen's bugging me that they've still got the cheapest green fridge and stove, but the bedrooms, bathroom and garden look really good. Glad for the owl slide even though it's ridiculously huge.

I think it's in their old Manchester apartment tour video on Dan's channel that he lies on the breakfast bar pretending he's into it in an inappropriate way. It's a good look.

It's at the end of this one:

Such a good video! They both seemed so happy and yeah I also noticed how much Phil was leaning into Dan too. I honestly just think last week was stressful for them but they seem more relaxed now. I was a bit worried because I thought they would upload tomorrow so Phil wouldn't have to do a ls but everything seems chill now.

That was such a satisfying video to watch. Them playfighting over the mouse when Phil went to take it from Dan at 7:10 was adorable, I wish it hadn't been so zoomed in.

I kept hoping they'd upgrade some of the stuff. I think Dil and Tabs really need a better bed, too. The one they've got now doesn't look like it goes with the rest of the room! And same on the ktichen appliances.

Dalien's floor is so hard to look at. Definitely hope they change that once he's a toddler. Or at least get a much bigger rug so there's less floor visible.

Oh no, now it's going to be the only thing I notice!!
The video was great, but Dan's obsession with symmetry annoys me so much :sideeye:
Not everything has to be exactly in the middle! And also, why not make the house shaped in any other way other then a square!!!

But that aside, I loved it. They were silly and touchy and I can totally imagine them picking out furniture for their forever home and bickering about it like an old couple (that they are)

EDIT: also, Phil mentioning that he has watched a lot of home renovation videos has me thinking...

This was the content that I really needed/wanted and it didn’t disappoint me. It was just so nice and pretty relaxing to watch. :)

I mean some of their choices were pretty bad, but I’ll try to not judge them too much.

cute.

YES I have 100% noticed and I don't usually pick up on that stuff in their videos at all.
Phil is really leaning into Dan for most of the video! What's that about?! His arms are REALLY freckly, I've never noticed that before

Edit to avoid double post: Finished the video and I love what they've done with the house/garden!

Great job
Haha Dan's face seemed more freckly than usual to me too. secret holiday confirmed!?

I'm honestly shook over Phil leaning in so much, they were practically cuddling at points! I never usually notice the whole 'Heart-eyes Howell' stuff etc so it must have been SUPER noticeable.

EDIT: Also I was thinking about this yesterday (as I live and work in the area they used to live). I never really realised how much of an impact the Phandom knowing roughly (or exactly ) where they lived must have had on their lives. But since they moved there's been far less - in fact I would go so far as to say none - "oh my god I was just on my way to work/school/the shops and totally randomly bumped into Dan and Phil who I totally wasn't stalking' fan-selfies. It must be such a huge burden off them, I feel sorry for them that they lived with it for so many years. I guess I was just naive and assumed that at least some of those Phans were genuinely just randomly walking through the area and bumped into the boys (it also explains why that never happened to me while they lived there).

After the announcement yesterday of doing another makeover video I went on a a Sims building video binge so I really had to adjust from someone creating a Barbie Dreamhouse back to these two dicking around. And ugh ew the house is so square and all the rooms are like same sized tiny prison cells D: And Dalien's room is fug. Don't even wanna discuss that Ribena pool. BUT THE GIGANTIC CHERRY BLOSSOM TREE WAS SO PRETTY LIKE THAT PLZ BUY IT NEXT TIME.

I enjoyed the video a lot, lots of leaning in because the concept of personal space is not known to them and just general domestic house decorating bliss. I had hoped for maybe one or two anecdotes from when they we're decorating for the flat but not even a throw away 'omg you did this when we were deciding on what to get for this flat as well!!1' comment though. How rude. I liked Dan's frivolous spending in the beginning while stingy Phil freaks out next to him. How does that go in real life?

'PHIWW LOOK AT THIS IS IT'S PRETTY'
'It's expensive..'
'idc we're buying it'
'istg Howell if I can't retire at 45 due to your bullshit...'

btw can I just say that that is one of my fave Phil shirts. It's black, which looks so damn good on him but with a pop of color which is very him.

Do Gleamers not go to any conventions now then? I've been sitting here trying to think of the last time one of them did.

That was a great video, I really enjoy Sim's renovations, and yeah I'm disappointed they didn't get the cherry tree, but they probably still could if they took out the hideous palm tree at the front of their house. Also, why haven't they changed the front part of their house where there are just roses lain down on the grass? The house takes up so much space and there's now very little room for a proper garden (to transform stuff) and if they want any more extensions. Serious question: do deppy realize you can add a second floor or a basement? Or are they trying to avoid the lag of ordering the Sims to move up and down? I'm not sure at this point if they are truly in any way keeping the house a single storey out of ignorance, or convenience, deppy present the thin line between that I can't tell.

They aren't experts at design and know-how of Sims and their live style, but as Phil used to play Sims I always wonder if they have ever created another character or household on the Sims to just mess around with and play for the fun of it? I can see them doing that to try out things or maybe to play casually? Then again, they seem to struggle so I highly doubt.

Dan's comment on "our future house" just reminded me of how we're constantly being torn back and forth on whether they're actually together. I notice how everyone is just so much calmer now than ever before. When Phil did a sleepless night in his beard room? Yeah, sure Phil. When Dan says "our future house". Yeah, of course Dan, you're in fucking love. I love hate how everything has become so casual, people just don't even care anymore, it's become the regular that they are giving mixed messages. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, we're in a fucking limbo.

capybantsa When I first started posting, I was terrified. I'm still terrified sometimes, whenever people respond to me and I get genuinely convinced that they hate me, or that people do their best to be argumentative whenever I make a post. However, I want you to know that I genuinely enjoy reading your posts and your unique perspective. I think that even if somebody doesn't agree with you, you should just post your opinions anyway. I feel that if everybody had the same opinion here then this place would become a complete echo chamber. While it does feel overwhelming at times when you do get a negative response, there are probably a few dozen people who are silently agreeing with you. I would hate to see someone afraid to post, and this goes for everybody, I genuinely love to see new posters and infrequent posters say something different and insightful that a typical poster wouldn't.

Ah yes, was forgetting about them. Aw thats sad for their fans though who want to meet people like zoe etc.

Don't know if its just me - but watching 2013/14 vlogs of conventions is a guilty pleasure of mine late at night, they are so happy and young and excitable, and everyone used to go and actually hang out with everyone, like usually I start watching for deppy or back in the day for tronnor but then i'm just watching ones w/o them even in after a while ha, then suddenly its 3am oops.

I pretty much just lurk and I'm not usually interested in actually replying (bc it makes me stressed). If you look at the IDB survey, almost half of the people who read enough to actually see the survey were lurkers.

The video was lovely. I love Sims building videos, they're my guilty pleasure and I follow lots of builders in the Sims community, it's one of the things that manage to make me fall asleep when I'm having insomnia. So I was already happy with the concept. And then they looked extra cute

Dalien's room is awful but I wasn't expecting anything else from them. I'm surprised they didn't make a 2nd floor, I thought they would take inspiration from their own apartment!

The "our dream house" comment even if I didn't have my tinfoil hat on, I still would've found that cute. I just love how easy it is for them to refer to everything as we and US and OUR. I just find it adorable how tied they see each other

Phil looked so beautiful, I love when he's in black. And I too noticed how extra the lean in™ was, like, did he forget his chair has its own armrest?
But I gotta admit that I just love it so much more whenever he gives us these small glimpse of closeness and fondness. I think I've come to except it from Dan but from Phil it just makes me more

Definitely a video I'll rewatch!

re feeling ignored: I do understand and feel it a little bit. I'm very new and I've been lurking in here for months, so it is kinda maeh sometimes to feel like "veterans" go along more than they do with newcomers but I think that's just to be expected. The more someone interacts, the more someone will have the chance to be part of the group. Which is why I'm annoying and post a lot, sorry

But I also love the forum way. I used to only hang out in forums before social media, and I miss how easy it was to have a huge discussion. I'm in another fandom on Twitter and tumblr and it's way more difficult to have a proper discussion about stuff because you're only seeing and replying to the people you follow. This is my first proper time interacting with the phandom, and the reason why I chose to create an account here is because I thought this was such an open and respectful place.

[offtopic]Not really surprising, actually I was expecting a lot less.
Most tours (comedy especially, even arena size music) end up losing money/breaking even and most profit is made on the merch.

Loved the new sims video! Though I will admit, my frugal tendencies made me unreasonably stressed while watching them spend so carelessly at the beginning.
I was actually going on a mini-sims binge before they uploaded this one, and going from watching a bunch of videos from 2015 to a current one made me realize how truly comfortable they have become on camera. They went from sitting completely separated to basically sitting on top of each other (not that I'm complaining )
I also noticed that Phil seemed a bit more relaxed and himself in this than he has in some other recent stuff which was refreshing!

Re: Feeling ignored - I feel ya on that. I'm one of the most avoidant people on the planet, so it does take me a lot to muster up the courage to do something even as small as posting a short little opinion on here because I'm constantly afraid of being ignored or having to deal with hostile confrontation. (I mean I've known about this site for months and I just recently got the guts to post on the main thread). But just because people don't reply to posts doesn't mean that they don't agree (I'm looking at you lurkers ;) )

(I think this is on-topic tbh, y'all.)

Bekah isn't wrong. Forgive me if I'm not seeing something, but IRL's numbers aren't out yet and I'd bet almost anything that that's where they made the bulk of their profit.

The merch lines at TATINOF were easily the longest I've ever seen and, if I'm not wrong, they sold out the allotted merch for a lot of venues.

Tickets may not make much money, but merch, the movies, and DAPGO probably did.
