Did they just offer me kittens and not edit in any actual kittens? How thoroughly rude.

I think there was too much talking in that video - I kinda wanted to hear what was being said in the game - but regardless, I enjoyed it.

I'm also confused by the timing of this spooky week. If baking's tomorrow, is there something planned for Halloween day that we don't know about?

Somehow I was not scared by that, but really wanted to be. Had the lights off and everything, ah well. Loved the video, though, both loved their commentary and was annoyed by it getting in the way, but the nightmare world is set up really well, that huge room with the door ending up being a picture and then appearing behind you... works really well.

Loved Phil in his Papyrus tshirt and Dan in Phil's spooky jumper, and of course Mr Demon the inflatable and clingy. They were cute when they got scared and Dan's parting shot of "and a little golf" was so funny.

Ooh, well done IDB sleuths, though that still could be one person's hands from behind or them sharing a jumper. Really looking forward to whatever mess they make of it.

Phil is the eye-bleach, huh? Daniel, you know us well.

RE: VIDEO - that game is quite intense, I wasn't too scared though, not my brand of horror. I'll have to watch again because I was watching the game instead of watching them, but it was a nice video, their reactions didn't seem too over the top. And they're basically in each other's lap. Again.

Wait, so is it confirmed that baking is being posted tomorrow? I could have sworn that I thought it was going to be on Tuesday. Because weren't people saying that we weren't getting a Dan liveshow this Tuesday? Was that for a different reason? This past week has been a blur, I'm a mess.

It's the character in the game's bedroom! It kind of made me grin too but solely just some weird pleasure out of hearing the words from Dan's mouth no matter the context.

Dan just said on twitter that depending on the editing it'll be posted either tomorrow or Tuesday, when someone asked if he's posting the baking video instead of his liveshow. So we just have to wait I guess!

It's like doing a spooky week and not uploading (probably) on Halloween, doing only half a week of video's really. Sneaky sneks

They played a game that looked good for once and had some real scary moments. The multiple heads abomination glitching out and only making half through the door with the sawblade cutting animation did break some of the spell.
They were fun to watch

I like it better too if they just let the game tell it's story and don't talk over it (if the game is good).

So... no Dan falling out of his chair. Boo. That's alright. I'll take the two-person sweater over Dan getting scared chairless any day tbh. If they actually do end up in that two person sweater I am 100% going to be losing my shit, I already know it. I'm garbage, no shame. Part of me is still trying to wrap my mind around the two of them sharing a conjoined sweater? It feels like it'll be A Big Deal™ but right now my brain can't put together the words to express why. I've just got this feeling about it. Hmm.
Also, I looked up the sweater that was linked here (I searched for other Halloween themed ones and couldn't find any?) and it looks like it's one size fits all, so if that is the one they bought... that'll be interesting. I'm ready for whatever this post-post-baking universe brings us

Anyway! The Evil Within 2 video was surprisingly creepy for me and made me jump a few times, even if their talking kind of ruined the immersion into the game. Felt like a Bioshock-Matrix-Silent Hill mashup, I liked it. I was glad that Dan commented on the Bioshock art-deco vibes, it felt like he read my mind. Bioshock is my all-time fave game series. I'll probably have to watch someone else play it more seriously (and for longer than 30 minutes

)

Also Dan calling Phil eyebleach - aka, cute and calming? Stop. That's cute. I also wonder how fast they've gotten at editing their videos, they must have been rushing and honestly forgot the kittens. I'm just really impressed with daily uploads, editing seems tedious as hell.

As a non-phannie, I did notice that directly and did freak out a little. It does sound suspect, because the only way that "our room" makes sense if he self-identifies at the spot with the male character at the time and his wife...
which is probably just what explains it, but it does feel out of tone. Half a minute before that, Dan was joking about how he liked to go slow to enjoy the aesthetic of the game "as a player". Plus phil just got Danny by pointing out the unintentional "aTIEre" pun he made. So to switch from that in an instant to the perspective of the dad. Noticeable :mrgreen:

But if you kind of look at it in a more detached way there's really no strong case here to suggest he must be signalling their relationship. I feel this is the same as with a lot of the phan "evidence". Just speculation and reading a lot into certain cues and situations you don't have enough context and facts about to verify.

It's certainly cute though

I haven’t had a chance to watch the latest video, beyond the first few minutes. Dan still looks great in Phil’s jumper. I was really hoping they would wear them. I guess Dan thought his own skeleton jumper would be too close to Phil’s Sans tee? Hey, whatever gets us that casual clothes sharing.

Re: baking, I have a feeling the vibe is going to be less sexual (than last year) and more ridiculous/hilarious with the challenge. I happened to get recommended a conjoined cooking vid with Tyler Oakley and Alex Wasabi yesterday. It was pretty funny, they were duct taped and totally cheated toward the end, but I expect deppy’s to be over the top. I can’t wait!

NGL, I'm pretty pumped for the likely baking-in-one-sweater video. But I'm mildly concerned also? It's really a stupid thing, but I think baking has always been pretty good on its own. Adding a handicap makes that handicap the star of the show. Instead of the jokes and bants coming from their general chemistry, it'll be all about problems with the sweater.

To clarify, I'm no less excited, because I'm all here for anything that'll force them into each other's personal bubbles for a full video. Sign me up. Just... I don't want this to besmirch the tradition of The Baking Video™.

So, here's how I'm rationalizing it... This'll just be another fun random video idea, leaving room for a regular festive baking. Eh? Eh?!

that was a good ending to spooky week! i wasnt too interested in the game tbh, mostly bc scary games..scare me, obviously, but i watched it cause of dip and dot. the game was very scary though and made me jump a few times.

i hope they upload spooky baking tomorrow as i have school tuesday and i'd miss the moment it uploads :c

Thanks heavens for jumpscare timestamps in the description or I would've had a bad time at some parts. This year's Spooky Week on DAPG was genuinely great, 10x better than last year's attempt. Perfect blend of fun spooky and genuinely creepy shit with sides of banter and cuteness. -1 for the lack of kittens.
