I am in class and saw the Twitter notification. I click on it, "omg is a vídeo", find the headphones, plug the headphones. Wait is only 1 second and it doesn't have sound.

About the rebranding: isn't it a strange moment to do so? i.e. in the middle of a tour partially named after your username. Tried to do the same with Phil Lester and nothing, and he still isn't with DanHowell on Socialblade. #phanbreakup #philisleavingYTtobecomethecactiwhisperer.

I think this is more bitter than sweet for me tbh. I completely understand why he'd want to (and in his place, I would as well), but to me, he's always been danisnotonfire and I feel almost as attached to it as my own online username.

He's grown up though. It was time.

I completely don't think that they will try to change the Dan and Phil brand they have going now, because it would be a bad business decision. This is clearly what works for them, I doubt they'd risk losing that.

It all does make me wonder though, what are they planning to do after the tour? What's next? Because with every little thing I read, I'm starting to think it won't be the same as it was prior to the tour.

Yeah I do feel like things are going to change after the tour, but what changes those will be, I have no clue. And since they won’t discuss these things with us, we can only wait and speculate.

tbh I think the "rebranding" will be just removing danisnotonfire from his yt banner, vids outro and yt name and replace it with Dan Howell while keeping the content along the same lines he has in the past 2 years. I don't really see what other direction Dan Howell migth take on youtube content wise, maybe because I'm not a Dan stan. For me rebranding is just a way to stop having to explain his username as it seems to be very embarrasing for him nowadays

Probs he might reintroduce himself after tatinof ends since both the book and tour have the "is not on fire" brand. Not worried about phan, they are more known nowadays as Dan and Phil not as AP and dinof

K I'm excited for the change mainly because i have a boring life but more because i don't know what is going to happen! A drastic change in their career may indicate some change in their personal life as well. (Maybe come out please?)

Is this recent or has this just been noticed this? Because I could've sworn I heard about this happening sometime last year?? Also, when you change your YouTube username, doesn't the old url stay? I know when I changed mine, it did that and has stayed that way for over two years now.
Until his actually name on the channel changes to Dan Howell, I don't know if this is rebranding or not. Maybe he wanted his named linked to his channel for business reasons?

Tbh Im not surprised. He is alway known as Dan Howell now so I can understand the change. It is a weird time to do it but I think it will be a complete change after the tour. He never really like dinof and of course he mentioned it during isg.
I can't see Phil changing. He will always be AmazingPhil.

I've been feeling this way too, and I really can't explain it. Of course things are going to be different after the tour, but it's the not-knowing of how they'll be different that worries me. I don't want to be nervous, but I'm nervous.

I think that before it was the other way around, I think he had youtube.com/danhowell but it redirected to danisnotonfire.

I'm not sure how long ago he made this change. I don't think that this alone counts as rebranding, though. This could be an indicator of more changes to come, but by itself - not that big a deal.

I'm thinking maybe they'll focus on something other than YouTube, which is sensible really, all things considered. I'd be happy for them if they were to move forward with their careers (and their lives too).
I just don't want them to leave us behind, if that makes sense (it probably doesn't but I'm strangely emotional rn)

I got way too excited to see vyou1's notification. I watch way too much cheesy fan videos (ehem secret love song video). I miss vyou1's edits.

Now I need to know AP's new management. I am also interested to know why Phil is in New Form Digital's website without Dan. With Dan's latest branding, his name is no longer in the tour's name. I really wonder what will happen after the tour. Please not #phandivorce. What will I do with my boring life?

I'm really really excited for the posttour time and actually hope for some major changes. But this particular dinof--->dan howell change is making me feel a little bit sad. I'm not worried or anything like that, I'm just being a nostalgic sap because I grew attached to the dinof name. If he feels like he's outgrown it and it's making him cringe then I guess he must do what he must do but I'm a creature of habit and he'll always be dinof to me.

this definitely isn't a new thing. i noticed it redirected several months ago - and it was way before the change from channelflip to danhowelllimited
