Phantasy wrote:By the look of the wallpaper where Phil was "locked out" and the crew photo in the conservatory, they were staying at the Bellagio.
Can you also find which type of room he is locked out from the pic of the door?
I've never stayed at the Bellagio myself, but they're standing in front of a double door, which I tend to associate with suites, while standard rooms will typically have one door. If we're to believe Phil is standing in front of his room, then it could mean he's staying in a suite. A shared luxury suite to celebrate the hubby's b-day makes more sense to me than a large suite to himself (or maybe he needed the extra space for when he invites the escorts over later idk).
But maybe someone who has stayed in the Bellagio can confirm/ deny my theory. Meanwhile, I'll be glossing over the Bellagio's couple spa packages to fuel my imagination.

Yeah when I saw the large door I immediately think suite, been going through all the virtual room tours
Its quite safe to assume Phil will splurge for Dan's birthday.

Hi just wanted to chime in quickly and say I agree with those who didn't see anything no-homo or "no-phano" about that tweet at all. I really don't understand why it's being interpreted as him trying to say they have separate hotel rooms? All he said was 'my room' but that could totally still mean their shared room? Phil always seems to use 'my' or singular pronouns so I didn't take that to mean anything really. I was honestly a bit surprised that some people interpreted it as that? I don't know this time I didn't feel like there was anything too unusual with his tweet
And oooh the ballagio is such a nice place! I hope they stayed there

Its interesting to note majority of the suites have 1 king size bed; only the extra large suites have two rooms and I somehow doubt they'll stay there unless they intend to hold a party.
Yeah its very romantic even the standard rooms are gorgeous
Edited to add that those new (at the time) "blue rooms" match the resort room with the king sized bed that manged linked.

yeah that reply is a bit... off. doesnt seem really believable idk but i dont see the point in locking someone out of your room, even if its phil. i guess you really can get sick of animal jokes. its phils tweet tho.

Just going to throw this out there-
The girl who ran into Phil in the hallway, seemed to think the boys were sharing a room. I assume she asked why he was in the hall, or where Dan was or something to that effect. She said apparently he was locked out of “the” room. When she was speaking to Phil wouldn't he have made it clear, like he did via tweet, that it was “his” room? If I was her that would have stuck out to me and I would have (If I was the tweeting sort) said something to that effect on twitter, but she didn’t. Them not sharing a room is more news than Phil being locked out to me, since they always share a room, or at least have adjoining rooms.
Also it would be taken before they went out for the night, even if his key didn’t work on his own room, why wouldn't he wait in Dan’s room until he was ready, and not awkwardly in the hall? Whenever I have stayed in a hotel with friends and we are waiting for each other to get ready we all go into the room of that last friend until they are ready. Just because then you are together for entertainment and can leave right when they are done. It isn’t like they aren’t close enough to hang out while Dan straightens his hair, brushes his teeth, gets dressed (picks out his underwear...sorry this wondered into fanfic territory…I’m tired fite me) or whatever. Anyone else do the whole get ready and wait together thing? It just seems a little odd to me. I am skeptical that we received a full truth.

He did, the girl who "bumped" into him said he was waiting at the seating area.
I wonder..was this "seating area" some random chairs in a hallway outside the rooms or actually down at a main desk on the main floor?
I've never been to the Bellagio but I don't know many hotels that have their suites near the main desk? "Seating area" probably just consists of chairs in the hallway on each floor. So either this pic was probably outside/near their room or those double doors weren't the doors of a suite.
So yeah, if it was his own room and not a shared room, wouldn't he go down to the main floor instead of waiting outside the room in a seating area? The fan's uncertainty made it sound like she guessed/assumed he was locked out because he was probably waiting in the hallway outside the rooms. I don't think she would guess that he was locked out if he was waiting on the main floor.
I don't doubt that they shared a room but I just wanted to talk it out to clarify what happened lol

winston by now no one believes it is just Phil's room Now we are all just wondering which suite they had chosen
missemma most probably its a seating area on each floor, Dan is too lazy to wait whilst standing and Phil is waiting for the hotel staff to assist him/replace the card. They are not us who have to go to the counter when our key does not work. Phil just call their PA/manager or maybe Cornelia to alert the front desk, especially if they rent the suite there, the service should be good enough to cater their needs.

Whoops, somehow I missed that. I was driving myself mad trying to find the floor plan of a suite with double doors (that wasn't the chairman's lounge or the presidential suite!).

The only issue I have with this scenario is that Dan will not be sitting in such a public setting especially alone at the front desk/lobby. Hence it made more sense to me its the seats they put in each floor.

Yeah, like I said, I think it's a seating area from what they have on each floor. Although I wonder if D+P are that bougie to not contact the main desk themselves

I wonder where Dan was while Phil was locked out of their room
And wait...Lain why couldn't it have been the chairman's lounge or the presidential suite? Are the double doors for those different?

Dan maybe went to replace the keys while Phil waited in the hall for him to get back? Or was it confirmed that Dan was in the room?

blueapple_x most probably they both found out the key did not work as they tried to enter and Dan just decided to proceed to the seating area whilst waiting. I mean I will do that and let my partner be the one standing around waiting for the replacement key. Dan need to hold on to his princess persona

Yeah that might've been what happened. Although if that's the case I'm surprised they didn't go together lol. I don't think it was confirmed that Dan was in the room. I very much doubt it though as Phil wouldn't have been stranded if that was the case lol. Unless Dan was locked inside the room.

Nah.. if Dan can enter his "own room" then Phil will call the front desk from the internal phone in Dan's room and wait there.

I'm trying to say in my round-about ways, Dan the princess will never walk alone to the frontdesk to replace the keys. Sorry sometimes my mind think something and my fingers type something else just because a word triggers it I don't even know I make any sense now.
Your edited version I agree on.

Ahh
On a related note, if they didn't film an actual vegas vid (or maybe a vegas section as part of their overall DITL vlog) I'll be shocked. BTW have we established that we think it'll be at least two different things they're filming? A DITL vlog and the official documentary?
Dan adamantly said they weren't vlogging in that one liveshow but what else could they be doing with their little red camera that they've been spotted with? He probably said no to keep the DITL thing a surprise because we know they had been filming/vlogging prior to that liveshow lol.
I can't wait til those things are finally released and all the tatinof touring is done!

In my opinion, jaej worded it better than I did. It's not a direct "no homo" like 2012 Dan, thankfully, but way more subtle. Not only the language use (that doesn't prove anything, just like Dan doesn't prove anything with his use of the plural), but also things like his active avoidance of looking at Dan in a video, which is something we've already noted here in IDB. Maybe it's a subtle "no homo / no romantic relationship with this guy", or maybe it's just part of his angelic, no sex, PG rated Internet persona.

Phil, your ASs really wants to communicate with us.
It's a secret clue. It is in a amazingphil vid(eo) on the 0:54 minute mark
Who's going to crack the code?
So...I actually looked at what was at 0:54 in the latest video (because I'm a nerd etc. etc.) and I actually found it quite funny...because it's the moment when he says 'let's not think about it too much'
I saw that too and I'm still laughing

My family (being bougie AF persians) stayed at the Bellagio when we visited Vegas but I was 15 and only remember the main waiting area and the huge pool. The double door's don't ring a bell but we stayed in the regular rooms and not the suites. I know that there were no double gold looking doors in the main front desk but it might differ in the suites I was also thinking that if Phil actually did have his own room and was locked out he would stay in Dan's room until someone helped him out. Also why rent a room/suite in the Bellagio (that's so expensive according to my dad) and not share with your platonic bro when you have done that all tour? Nothing really adds up behind Phil's tweet. That's what you get Philly for responding quickly without considering your sleuthing fans
