I was a barista for a year and still love the drinks (especially the caramel macchiatos). It's not the most high end stuff but it's pretty delicious. That being I think they true coffee plebs (like me) and just enjoy coffee no matter what form!

It does a bit doesn't it? But the subject of people trying and failing at various jobs is a fairly popular comedy concept. I don't know if you meant it like that, but I don't think Jack and Dean try or need to adopt deppy's niche/brand. Also they stated working on their series before the calendar was even released, so I think the similarity is a coincidence. (Having watched the J&D series trailer, I have however imagined Deppy doing a show/series like that (probably with the help of professional filmmakers) and I think they could make it good. I'd watch it.)

It's probably because it's so much more expensive for them to travel to Australia/they'll make less profit than in the US so they have to make up the costs through their pricing

Its the logistics cost babe, also because there are only 5 venues hence total cost divided only between these 5 profit centres as opposed to multiple venues in USA.

Perhaps I'm seeing the wrong info here, but I looked at the VIP tickets for Perth which are $108 AU which converts to about $80 USD which seems about the same price as they are in the US (before fees)?

I just had a look at the prices and honestly, they seem about right compared to the US tour. I paid $75USD for gold seating here which looks comparable given Aus gold is approx $100. And wasn't USA meet and greet $150? Again, not too far off. And I paid $50 for all the way up the back nosebleed seats to see Troye Sivan and Troye is playing is a dramatically bigger venue.
EDIT: I realised all I have posted about lately is this fucking show I just have nothing better to contribute ok

In the UK, they flogged tickets for cheap to plant butts also but it's just the same as people being able to get last minute flights for cheap or free, it's just the way the cookie crumbles and I don't think anyone needs to be jealous or angry about it. This isn't a unique situation and makes sense. It's still a bit lolzor though, I did whatsapp missemma about it though and be all like haha lolzor. But so long as they produce a good DVD I'm pretty chill.
Sulking there was no ls this week though, I really had a feeling they'd do one Sunday or Monday and nothing. Pouts.
As for that pic, well. Phil you stay exactly where you are because you are PER-FECT (cookie to anyone who knows where that's from ahaha).
I don't think anybody expected D+P to come out and admit they're not able to sell enough tickets either lol. I can't really imagine them being that real with us, no offense to them
I think I just expected them to ignore all questions of "why???" like they usually do whenever they do something worth questioning. When the same situation happened with the discounted London tickets, did they answer one tweet as to why they were doing it? I don't think they did. If they did then I'll stand corrected.
It was the transparency of the lie (and the fact that he even answered that tweet) that amused me and made me want to discuss it to blow a hole right through the explanation. I'm totally unaffected by this turn of events but I can empathize with why some people who paid to sit in the mezzanine would be upset that now they're giving away free tickets. Sure, it's all business and I'm sure many know that, but it still sucks for those people. Especially if $45 (or however much it was) was a lot of money for them to be spending.

(ie pumpkin latte and all the sugary fruity cocktail with tiny umbrellas) So what he said is basically him being unapologetic about who he is and be "we are not manly men but it's okay cuz we are comfortable about it".

I don't think that that's what they are trying to say. Starbucks has been jokingly associated with "the common white girl" for ages, so the are merely jokingly referencing this common belief.
