Anyway, their ls yesterday made me happy, I love the new pastel D&P merch and I'm sad that I'll never get any, and it's only just now starting to sink in that in less than two months, on Dan's birthday, I'm going to see them in real life, like up close, hug them etc. and wow. I honestly can't wait.

Excited for the first tour spoilers!! I know I won't manage to avoid them, so I'll just dive right in.

I'm on team wear what you like, but seeing it properly on the model, nothing about that jacket looks good. I've already been scrolling mutliple sites for clothes for an hour and headdesking over all the boring plainness, floral patterns and ruffles.

I like the hoodies, though I don't pastel (also tricky on women's clothing sites). I might be persuaded by the purple one, but it's lighter and brighter than I'd usually wear. I should start a line of all indigo (properly deep purple) clothes. Maybe a bit of dark teal for variety.

They've started off well with so many snippets all in one day. That chrome extension is handy too.

Has anyone filled in the interactive questions? I have done mine for Leeds and I proper went to town with the answers which mostly included the fact we are still waiting for the tatinof cake scene and calling Dan “Mr Jo King”. I love that they specified you could be slightly offensive. I hope they pick some super funny ones instead of the usual samey things!

The only downside is that filling out that form was hella long. I wanted to do one per show but tbh I don’t have time to sit and fill that essay in

Also, that pastel D&P merch is cool but I would love one in black. I’m such a Dan and black is the only colour I wear.

It says on the website that all electronic devices need to be turned off, so I don't think they will use an app/website. I hope they won't do screaming either because my poor ears won't be able to handle that. I've seen people here suggesting they might use paddles?

They could do what my Psychology A-Level teacher did and have an electronic voting system with remotes that get results in real time? We used that in class for pop quizzes and its anonymous, but produces graphs. (At least I think it did, this was in 2011/2012 so a while ago)My thoughts were towards an app that essentially does the above but without the risk of people having light fingers. I understand though why they dont allow phones, theres nothing more annoying than being sat behind some twat who wants to watch everything through their phone rather than enjoying what they paid for (Except maybe how I, at 5'4 seem to get stood behind someone who is at least 6'5 at every gig I go to unless I get barrier, and then I end up stood next to someone with long hair who doesn't want to tie it up)

Yes, I was thinking about that as well because my university uses an audience response system too but I think it'd get rather expensive if they would need to buy/rent thousands of those keypads and they're also easy to misplace.

Sorry when you mentioned this I just had flashbacks to freshman year and now I'm imagining the merch stand selling iClickers for $30 ($15 used) for anyone who wants to actually participate XD

I think it was for Dan’s dreams? A few of the questions I thought about too literally and had to refrain from suggesting that tourturing Phil’s family was the key to get him to confess everything. Just too real. My husband had a good suggestion for the friendship ‘BUT’ test. Something along the lines of Dan would be completely happy BUT Phil could no long see in color. But I think they are more likely to go for funny things, which I had some of, also a few demon things.

I wish I had thought to screen shot mine, it’s fun to see people’s responses on Tumblr. I guess I have a second chance with my kid.

man i'm sad about kanye rn because everything recently made it seem like he was getting mental health care, he was looking so much happier and healthier around the time it was being said he was medicated and on anti psychotics and stuff and i really hope this doesn't become a media 'stupid evil man is bad!' thing rather than being seen as the out of character (for years ago before these issues seemed so large) actions of someone fairly recently hospitalised for psychosis, addictions, breakdowns etc because someone in the position he's blatantly been in for years needs to not be the centre of media attention rn. i thought working with kid cudi, who's been very open (and mocked) about his own recent issues was a positive sign but it doesn't seem like it anymore. honestly i hope dan just doesn't talk about it because he's been acting really erratic again and making a spectacle of someone clearly having a relapse of their ongoing problems won't have a good outcome and i hope he considers enough about mental health issues that go past depression to not make a 4 minute rambly liveshow comment. not that there''ll be a liveshow soon anyway

I am devastated that I won't be able to get any of the pastel merch for the pop up shops. That baby pink is my favorite color and i love the subtlety of the "D&P" on the front. Really really hoping they end up releasing something similar online (or maybe i can find someone selling one of the pop up shop ones on ebay )

Also I voted for "nah" on Dan's jacket insta poll. I was honestly surprised when it showed the results that only 13% agreed with me. Whoever said earlier that it looked like he was wearing a backpack -- thats what i first thought too. Then i realized it was just on the jacket-- the straps just seem kind of awkward. I don't hate it but I'm def not a fan either.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly -- those things were almost too janky to work for a class of about 50 people from my experience at university, theres no way it would work for an audience the size that would be attending Inactive Ingredients

I'm still not sure I trust them to not do insta stories for like two weeks and then completely forget about it, but either way, this first day of it has been really great. (It also got me thinking about the supposedly different liveshows they might do, and if those could be related to instagram too? it might be more tour friendly? I don't know if it would give them the revenue younow does, though.)

loving the instagram stories so far and i'm glad they're actually using them and not just doing the whole one post per day thing like on twitter. though, like @huphilpuffs i'm worried they might do it steadily for a few weeks and then just....not. but i'm trying to be optimistic! i think i can deal with one video a week if they continue like this, though. but am i being optimistic by hoping we'll get a video a week?

i think they'll keep up insta stories, honestly. they're really addicting to post and once you start you can't stop (at least how i've found them). i also think they like sharing little real tidbits of themselves and their lives that aren't Dan Is Not On Fire and AmazingPhil, and insta stories allow them to connect on a smaller level.
