Is Phil implying that social constructs aren't valid because I contest that opinion and am offended on behalf of both time and zones

Dan finally fulfilling the long-con and being Phil 2.0 phan was just a concept to get us used to the idea of Dan and Phil being one homogenous entity.

Interesting to finally hear about Rize. Reviews of it aren’t all the best, apparently it tends to crash and once you’ve signed up, they have no way to let you remove your account and info, lame thing to not have implemented from the start. Let’s hope it works when thousands of us all load it up

He looks great in that top, I’m glad to see it properly, stripes and all. It’s so nice to see him talk about old videos. We’ve heard about the truth one, he mentioned that in Tatinof. His accent wasn’t bad, I think I’d have been fooled. I’m glad he explained what that prop was made of, I get so curious about things like that. It’s funny to see some of his old arty stuff and what he has to say about it now, and to see how much quieter he was years ago, not all bouncy entertainer like he is now. Nice that he’s sharing a few things like this with us, interesting that this is what he went with right after the hair video.

really satisfying phil video for me, phil is so funny.

and wow does he look good. maybe it's just because it's juxtaposed with his old videos but he looks like such an adult. like he looks older in this video than he ever has. and it's really attractive on him.

Good good. Glad they boys will be back on the live shows, wish they wouldn't use this app but hey they have to make money somehow.

It’s interesting that they combined their Rize account and instead of them both having one it’s just ‘DanandPhil’. I wonder if they’re going to still do solo live shows

I loved that video so much!
I have to say i cringe quite a lot when people react to their own videos and this was no exception but it was still entertaining.
It's nice to get this insight in how he thinks about older videos. I'm also surprised that it seems like he never actually deleted videos, only made them private. I like it because it's nice to be able to look back at them.
And oh god, he looks good. It just gets better every time we see him.

About rize:
I'm interested in how it will work but they don't support my phone (huawei p8) so i can't download it. Well I'm sure someone will post their streams on youtube later so ill have to go with that

Phil judging his past self is so hilarious to me. I feel like half the video was him going "phil... phil, no". There were also a couple old clips that I hadn't seen yet, so that was fun to see.

Also, I'm excited for the liveshows, but the 20th of june?! jesus guys, you've already made us wait long enough (okay fine, you've given us lots of content - but I'm still dying for a liveshow). Also, by 8pm which time does he mean? UK time?

Well, that doesn't bode well. I hope they'd have fixed the ability to delete your info/account by now though - wouldn't not being able to be against GDPR?

There is always a special place in my heart for early Phil weirdness. This is probably because if in your new-to-phandom phase you watch, as I did, a playlist of all dnp videos in chronological order (just the main/side channels, not pabloislove or apartmentred or anything) you get 2hrs of glorious early Phil before dani snot even shows up.

It would be interesting to know, of the ~300 private videos how many are from the early period? Im guessing most? Has he privated any more recent videos that we know of?

I guess dinof sometime before the 20th so dan can also promo this app.
Can I just say this app sucks, or at least what I see of it. It just shows your face the whole time your watching someone and they have the ability to drag you onto screen. I doubt dnp would do that but still.
I'm pretty sure if today is to go by then phil means UK time. 20th of June makes since because they will probably be back in the UK because they have a week break between Sweden and US

Count me in as another person who loved that video. I thought that tour was going to give us filler vids but so far both of Phil's videos have been personal, genuine, and just plain delightful.

Quite interesting what he said about "The Truth" - about how he felt bad for tricking people and wanted to clear it up. Does anyone know if he did mention tricking people in his next video or twitter? Just wondering, because if he felt bad about it once then he probably wouldn't want to do it again.

He was so funny in this. I like seeing him make himself laugh, it made me laugh. Appreciating the commentary on what YouTube was like back when he posted the videos, too. It seems like there was more of a community when Phil (and probably Dan as well) started YouTube. Enough of one that Phil just included two people's pets and one guy's face in his video because they asked.

It makes me wonder if anything like the community of queer folks who got together for the Halloween Youtuber meetup back in 2009 exists anymore. Obviously the mainstreaming and monetization of YouTube has changed things since then, but I'd like to think creative teenagers still have their ways of finding each other. YouTube of the past reminds me more of AO3 or... DeviantArt or something of the now.

eta: @Amiaw I too felt the vday video like the elephant in the room through most of explanation of "The Truth." I don't doubt that Phil can see it too. It apparently doesn't bother him enough to keep him from talking about it, which is probably a good thing.

I accidentally called someone too and then I just deleted the app.

i was banned immediately after creating an account. i made my username (harmless, it's the one i have on here) and it told me i "violated" the terms and conditions??? uhh.
