@autumnhearth That makes so much more sense! Thank you! I still hear "useful" on the recording, but it must just be the way Phil said it/the quality of the phone microphone because "useful" doesn't make any sense in that context. That actually was something I found confusing, so thank you for pointing it out!

Edit: Since it's the top of the page and I can't think of anything clever to say, I'll add in some bonus liveshow-related content. At some point during the liveshow earlier, Dan mentioned how there was an incident involving yeast at one of the Sydney shows. This happens to be one of the shows I transcribed, and there were lots of references to yeast during that show, though the original mention of yeast was not in any of the parts I transcribed. I was curious, so I went ahead and found and transcribed the original yeast moment too:

D: But, obviously, there's lots of things that some of you here might want to see Dan and Phil do live on stage together that we're not gonna do tonight.
P: No.
D: Okay. Because it's illegal. Right.
P: Yeah.
D: Okay, if it isn't technically illegal, maybe it's just offensive or messy.
P: It is.
D: I don't know what you're thinking. Okay? It could be anything.
P: This was originally meant to be a Vegemite wrestling arena--
D: Yes.
P: --and we had to change it up a bit.
D: Just get totally naked and run around. What is Vegemite, anyway?
P: I don't know. Why are we naked? What are you saying?
D: What is--What is Vegemite, really?
*audience shouts, "Yeast!"*
P: Yeast.
D: Okay. I literally never wanted thousands of people shouting "yeast" at me. That was--That--That was immediately the worst moment of my life. Okay? I'm sorry.
P: So, there's no Vegemite.

After rewatching this liveshow and then seeing a number of tweets/tweet threads, man I'm just in a place where I feel hopelessly fond of how sweet they can be to each other - particularly Dan to Phil today. Reassuring Phil that it was okay if he only gets the same food and saying they share, telling Phil that his hair looked great, telling Phil that the only reason the waiter thought Phil was his dad was because Phil was in a t-shirt... (a conversation they'd clearly already had based on Dan's assertion that they'd already established that), even lightly making fun of Phil for the Formula 1 thing but then ending it by saying that the driver probably appreciated Phil having a unique question. Dan was just... idk, man. Good boyfriending. (Or good friending, if you're disinclined to use the bee-eff word.)

I missed the liveshow since they went live while I was in a lecture (and of course when I had a break and was able to open rize it was during the audience section lol), so thank you very much to everyone who had a part in getting it and uploading it! it was such a sweet show :happytears:

I'm awfully fond of them, and I really can't believe it's the end of tour! It literally feels like it was just last week that we were talking about Brighton and Dan's story from that night. Anyway, I'm just a little in love with their love for each other (I have lost any ability to be even remotely eloquent ha), and this really made it come out more

I'm gonna be honest and admit that I missed the live show for lamest reason possible. I heard the notification and thought it was a normal message or whatsapp or whatever, so naturally I purposefully ignored it. I didn't even bother to glance at the screen. Yay me.

Thank you so much, everyone here at IDB, for discussing it and trying to put together the recording and uploading the live show. I'm forever grateful. This was such a heartwarming show.

Aw I actually like it! Although it's a bit of an unusual type of picture for him, but he looks soft.

It's currently past noon in India... Dan, did you sleep in again?

Makes me wonder if he stayed up playing GW2. I wonder if his guildmates know who he is (99% they don't)

Dan eating a spoonful of rice is art. The way his shiny bunny eyes dart back and forth. He looks hunted.

I love how weird and kind of creepy yet domestic these breakfast stories are turning out.

Unless the filter is making his under eyes even darker, I suspect he slept less than he played GWs. (The folks he plays with don’t know he’s a YouTuber. I remember him saying so at a Guild Wars thing he went to.)

I feel like we haven’t gotten much Phil content lately. I hope they get an appropriate rest before they start editing and working more.

They don't! He talked about it in the chat he had with the creators (like 6 minutes in). They know him as Gabriel. Or they might know now if they saw the interview.

i had no idea and it's the most hilarious thing i've seen this week.

i would love, i don't know, like an article/analysis of dan playing GW2, of his gaming behaviour (like, how much of a leader is he, is he a calm gamer, what kind of psychological patterns does he show when playing GW2, i don't really play video games so i'm just imagining the questions). i love when i can see people being in the world they're passionate about.

jk, I saw he liked a tweet from the band's account for the j'ouvert video and I'm just happy to know that he's into it. Although I have to say, times like this make me miss Dan's solo liveshows. Listening to him ramble about music and other things was honestly one of my favourite parts of the week. I'm hoping he'll start them up again soon since the tour is coming to a close but I'm definitely keeping my expectations low.

I'm also enjoying these breakfast insta stories. It's making me think of how cute it would be for them to continue food themed stories once they get home. Like holiday baking but more casual and daily, imagine the possibilities. That might be too good to be true, but I can dream.

@kavat and @knq thank you for the GW2 info! I did suspect they wouldn't know, otherwise it'd be known where he plays.

@Ataraxia25 YES! I would love such an article too. I'm a gamer myself, having wasted several years of life leading a competitive guild (not in GW2, in WoW), so I would love to know what kind of a player Dan is. And how often does he even play? It seems like it's still an important part of his life, but does he have time to attend raids that often? Wish he'd talk about it more.

Also, I do agree with you all that said his twitter icon is a weird picture. He doesn't quite look like himself, and his neck does look long. He very much reminds me of his brother. But he also looks soft, I like his expression, so all in all I'm okay with this.

The bunny filter does seem to make them darker and who knows what’s going on with that lighting. Just because I already had it:

The only thing I will say about the Twitter icon change is that he seems to be doing it to match the submitted header, so fingers crossed that it will change often. I did love the last combo. Okay I lied, one more thing about that pic: his hair is super fluffy like a poodle (not a hobbit) and I love it.

And the M&G has started, if anyone is curious about their current faces.

I definitely can’t judge, I woke up at 4 am and I’m sure I look like crap.

The reference is a bollywood song from the early 2000's! Its called kaajra rae and I was obsessed with it as a kid. Now the two men are father and son in real life and I think that's the joke (tho in the movie they weren't father and son) but anyway seeing such an iconic part of my childhood show up here was really new and wow
