I feel so bad about Mexico, for everyone involved

It sounds like they're really gonna make Brazil special, though, so I really hope that everything with that gets worked out and confirmed.
Maybe it's because I was multitasking while listening to the liveshow and therefore couldn't pay full attention, but I, personally, didn't feel weird or awkward or get any of those vibes while listening. I found a couple moments really cute, actually, like them mentioning their first ever conversation

and the little chat about Phil's hair and how Dan has never seen his natural hair, and that apparently he had blond streaks which made it seem lighter at the time of The Weakest Link? Can Phil please make a video fully about his hair, à la the beginning of Why I Changed My Emo Hair style?? Please?? Why am I so interested in the history of his hair colors. I also liked talk about Phil's nausea due to his antibiotics, and how Dan apparently had to help him/take care of him at "five o'clock" in the morning. I'm glad he's finally feeling better. Filming will happen sometime within the next couple days, which I'm excited for
Also, quick edit to be shallow for a second, Phil looks so adorable in that sweater can he please wear that all the time, forever, from this point on?

I really liked the liveshow. It was quite calm with Phil looking adorable just doing a bunch of silly stuff in the background (what even was that tattoo lol) I’m glad he is doing better though. I was genuinely worried for a bit there. It sucks that they can’t do Mexico though, so many people were looking forward to that. I hope they are able to livestream the Brazil thing so at least everyone could watch that.

I don’t know if this has ever been discussed so correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like Phil is the one to end most of the joint liveshows. I’m not saying Dan wouldn't have ended them himself but Dan seems more likely to carry on with the conversation till he has nothing else to say and then he leaves as opposed to Phil who seems to have a time limit of when it should end. Not saying it is bad but I’m just curious. By the time I joined the phandom, solo liveshows were very rare so I’m wondering if Phil’s liveshows used to be shorter than Dan’s, were they more or less frequent, is it in my imagination or does Phil actually seem to start saying bye first? Could it be that he makes more videos and sees that as providing more/better content? Or maybe he just might not be as comfortable being live? Or maybe I’m the one overthinking it and he is literally just always hungry lol. What do y’all think?

When they still did solo liveshows, Phil had been doing 40-45 minutes for months while Dan was still going for a full hour. Dan used to get hungry and go, Phil didn't give a reason, he just said "I'm going to go now, thanks for coming" and say all his goodbyes, maybe end on a howl while it was logging off. I miss Dan's solo ones, he got more introspective and waffly, it was lovely. I wonder how long Phil was actually attended to at the hospital since if you're not dying, you can wait a few hours to be seen in the A&E department. Getting there maybe not long after 5am still would give them a lot of time for tests, though.

It really sucks that the Mexico date got cancelled after all. I feel so sorry for all the fans there who got excited for it and I sincerely hope that one day Deppy will go there somehow. While it was pretty obvious that they packaged the cancellation announcement in as much fluff as possible in order to soften the pain, I do feel like they handled announcing this cancellation a lot better than the Manilla drama. So at least there's that.

Them playing with the idea of having PINOF in December kinda tells me that there'll be no Gamingmas this year...

I thought the liveshow was really good. I agree that they felt off, but I think we got ample reason as to why: Phil's feeling sick (he said he's done with the antibiotics but I took from that him just finishing which might have meant he still felt the effects of them) enough to not be filming yesterday, and the fact that the purpose of the liveshow was deliver bad news. I'm sure the backlash from audience upset is fairly traumatizing for them. Phil looked like someone just kicked his puppy the whole time he was letting Dan handle the actual announcement delivery.

I do think that they had nothing else really to say, but that's just due to the last liveshow being three days ago. They filled the time quite cutely considering there were no videos to promo, or even tease (that hadn't already been teased in the last one). Oh, I guess besides the merch thing? I am intrigued as to what that'll say. Also, any guesses on what Phil's is? Did he hand write something?

iirc Phil did a zine when they first opened the Dan and Phil shop (right? am I imagining this?). It could be something like that? Or maybe some kind of hand written/drawn design or something that can be put on a poster/shirt/mug etc? Idk it's a very ambiguous hint.

I'm here for the the Phil zine 2.0, if I guessed correctly. I know Phil loves himself some Dan time in his projects, and I love it too, but I crave Phil's solo content badly. If he wrote a longer thing or a full book of stories and weird shit I would buy it like, yesterday.

i'm looking forward to trying to read what dan has written in his emotional break down rant in the text for the isg mug though

also (14.36) i have wondered before if dan has ever seen phils natural hair before, kinda suprised he hasn't, wouldn't phil have to strip his hair of colour every so often? i know nothing about hair dyeing upkeep. always appreciate some phil hair dyeing talk

I dye my hair black and I never strip it and it’s been 2 years I’ve kept it this colour. But I have actually stripped it a few times when I wanted to go blonde. If Phil stripped his hair the colour that would come out would not be natural. Using permanent dye black or blonde you are still using a developer for the colour to attach. If Phil ever wants to have his natural colour he would have to either wait it out and stick with long roots and get it cut regularly till his natural hair is back or shave it all off. I’m sure dan has seen Phil natural hair colour by the roots showing through but I’m not surprised about not seeing him completely natural, not when he’s been dying it since before he knew dan.

I think it felt off because they wanted to break the news live and had nothing else to talk about. All I saw on my timeline was people talking about the domestic stuff (their first conversation) rather than the bad news they gave. Some of the replies to Dans tweet are full on angry though, and tbh I don’t blame them. I know D&P wouldn’t do anything to upset their fans and they probably did genuinely think it was workable but maybe they should have just said some dates were still work in progress and not really given exact details and definitely shouldn’t have said that it was 99% going ahead 4 days ago!

Also, I really hope Brazil goes ahead but I’m interested in what they mean by “film premiere” like is it going to be a full on fancy affair haha! I wanna see them in suits and on the red carpet

Finally, I see everyone loved that video of Dan playing the drums. I’ll be over here in the corner feeling sorry for their poor neighbours haha!

Is it likely that they would really skip it? As far as my youtube knowledge goes, December is the best when it comes to ad revenue. Gamingmas is very loved, and while individual videos may not get lots of views, they get a lot of money just because of daily vids.

I think that them not doing gamingmas is probably more a matter of logistics than choice. An international premiere for the show that'll fall right at the start of the money, plus various promotional engagements for it I'm sure (I fully expect them to do something in London) means there might be multiple days that they can't pre-plan for this early out that they won't be available to film or post on.

I don't think there's any way that they'll go without taking advantage of the adsense, I think we'll definitely get more content than normal in December. I just don't know that they're gonna call it gamingmas and commit to people's expectations of a video every day for 24 days in a row and I think that's actually smart of them.

I think there will still be Gamingmas. My guess is the unknown date around PINOF is that they thing in Brazil is gonna be near the end of November (if it happens) when PINOF usually is, so they don't want to promise it then in case they don't have time to film and edit before December. I think they're just covering their tracks and being vague like they do about everything lol. I don't imagine they'll give up the December ad revenue from gamingmas (and also since it's so popular)

Haven't seen the liveshow and I think I'll skip it since it sounds like it's just more of them crushing dreams, and I've had enough of that this year. Maybe looking forward to Phil's video though! He said they're filming it tomorrow? Did he say when the uploading might happen..?

I woke up halfway through this liveshow, and I immediately thought it was really odd that we were getting another joint liveshow four short days after the last one. But I wasn’t going to complain, and, now that this has happened, I’m hoping we can stick to a weekend schedule for liveshows.

Anyway, here are my highlights:

The first thing I noticed was that Dan is wearing the same shirt that he was wearing in this Instagram story Phil posted last night. At [0:43], Dan explained that he was only wearing the shirt because it was a pajama day. When Dan and Phil discussed the aforementioned Instagram story at [25:04], Dan says that the Instagram story was filmed “the other day,” but I think he was just confused.
[1:12] Dan and Phil tell a truly harrowing story of Phil killing a slug. Memorable quotes include:
P: The more shoes there are, the more chance you’ve got to put them on.
D: What does that even mean?
P: I don’t know.
…
P: *brings bunny slipper into frame*
D: Are you holding that?
P: I’m holding it from the side.
D: Okay.
P: I’m not touching the bottom. Don’t be mad!
…
D: I’m like, “Phil, you have your own slippers. Don’t use mine.” And Phil’s like, “Uh, it doesn’t matter.”

D: “It’s just a pair of scissors. I can just wear them.”

[4:45] I love how Dan had no idea where Phil was going when he started this sentence:

[7:23] We come to the real reason for this liveshow. Dan and Phil explain that, despite the valiant efforts of several different groups of people who gave it a go, Interactive Introverts is not going to come to Mexico. Because of this, they want to make the Interactive Introverts film premiere in Brazil extra special. They’re going to do some funny things and answer some questions. They’re going to film it, and they hope to livestream it. At the end of this discussion, Dan makes a promise:
P: So keep an eye on our Twitters in the next couple of days, and--
D: I swear to God.
P: --there better be some Brazil news.
D: Or else--
P: Or else.
D: --I will shit or step on a slug--
P: Yeah.
D: --deliberately.
P: So yeah. We’re--We’re super bummed, though, but--

P: --hopefully, Brazil--

I’m calling it now: If going to the Philippines was the excuse for Interactive Introverts, going to Mexico will be the excuse for their third world tour.
[11:47] Phil explains that he didn’t film or upload the AmazingPhil video telling the story of how he fainted because the antibiotics he was taking made him feel queasy. Many interesting allusions were made in this discussion:
P: Uh, my antibiotics were meant to cause hyperactivity. Unfortunately--
D: Oh, no no no. They did.
P: I--
D: They did.
P: Do you think I did?
D: Yeah.
P: Uh, unfortunately, they made me really queasy, so I’m actually done taking them now. So I might make a video.

[12:15] We’re getting a new gaming video and a new AmazingPhil video soon. And it sounds to me like Dan might possibly be starting to think about making a video for his channel as well...

D: Ooh.
P: --about my hospital adventure.
D: And what about a Dan video?
P: What about a Dan video?
D: That’s a really good question.
P: I could just film you and upload it to your channel.

[14:33] Someone in the chat asks Dan if he's ever seen Phil's natural hair color. Dan says that he hasn't, but he says that everyone can see what it looked like if they look up videos of Phil on Weakest Link. Dan is shook when Phil says that that also wasn't his natural hair color.
[15:05] Dan reveals that he’s going to be releasing an “Internet Support Group” mug. Phil informs Dan that this was supposed to be a surprise. On the mug, the words “Internet Support Group” are going to be made out of text that constitutes a “massive emotional breakdown rant” that Dan typed out.
[16:50] Phil hints at his own new merch. He says his hand is aching slightly from the creation of it. Dan doesn’t know how he feels about this.
[17:19] A v. serious note from Phil to all Phanfiction writers:
D: And the x-Phil group chat. They write Phil smut.
P: Hello.
D: I see what you’re doing there.
P: Don’t write Phil smut.
[17:33] Dan and Phil discuss the origin of Dan and Phil:
D: So, if you don’t know, me and Phil: big Muse fans.

D: The first conversation we ever had was about a new Muse album.
P: It was! Like the first proper chat we were like--
D: And so will be the last. *throttling noise*

[20:51] And now, the moment we’ve all really been waiting for: The skull candy bowl makes another triumphant return! Dan takes out a sherbet straw, and he asks the chat how to eat it. He gets many helpful answers, including, “snort it” and, “eat it whole.” Dan eats the sherbet and is visibly distressed by the flavor, which he describes as being "like a cleaning product."
[22:47] Phil tries to apply a temporary tattoo to Dan’s arm, but it isn’t wet. This reminds Phil that “one of [Dan’s] only scars” comes from ink from a stamp. (Is this a known story?) Dan then lists his other scars: an escalator scar, an Interactive Introverts leg scar, and a scar from smashing through a window in his house. Phil says his "bum" has never been the same shape since he fell off the stage during TATINOF. Dan confirms that Phil now had a triangular ass, and he thinks it’s a tragedy.
[26:20] Dan talks about how his voice tends to be absorbed into the void when he tries to talk in a room with a lot of ambient noise from a crowd. Also, when he’s with a group of people having a conversation, and they can’t hear him trying to contribute to the conversation, it makes him “feel so unconfident.”
[27:54] Phil is worried that Dan might not have liked the hot chocolate he made for Dan, but he should have known better than that.
D: Phil’s found this white hot chocolate.
P: I bought it in Birmingham, so I’ve had it for a long time.
D: In what, like a suitcase for six months or something?
P: Yeah. But I checked the--
D: Nice.
P: --expiration date--
D: Yeah.
P: --and it was still all good. I would’ve had it anyway.
D: Good, you’re not poisoning me. Wonderful.

I'm going to pull this timestamp out to highlight the question I asked. From the way Dan and Phil talked about the scar Phil brought up, it sounds like Dan might have talked about it before. Does anyone remember Dan mentioning it in the past?
