And being gay and tall.
Very true lol they could talk about that too. I just want Phil to talk about more than his teenage years whatever they decide on
Yeah... look, I love learning more about the experiences that made Phil who he is today but... I'm good on the teenage info for now. Really, Phil. You can hit pause on that. Give us a dose of current Phil.

(Me, saying that as though I won't still eat it the fuck up if it is another teen-experiences topic.)
They're gonna discuss their favorite Nintendo games, but only Nintendo 64 through the Wii. No 3DS content, because that's post-2009.

Whelp those were quite the beards lol. I laughed several times, not my fave AP video ever but he's putting out plenty of content imo with those liveshows so I'm happy. I am here for the beard lights as well haha.

Was I entirely too hopeful in thinking Phil might actually grow some stubble and vlog it? Yes.
Should I have known better that Phil was just going to buy a bunch of stick-on beards because that's his M.O.? Yes

Am I still disappointed because all I wanted was to actually see Phil with a beard? Also.. yes.

It was cute though. Just another Phil vid. Gotta learn to lower my expectations.

Things I have learned from this video:
-Phil is fully aware that having a beard/stubble makes him look like a dad
-Phil always gets not the nicest things for this kind of video, it's not his style to do it super serious and that's ok
-Phil thinks moustaches are a gay look(tm), he's not wrong
-Phil dreams of being a viking
-Phil needs to make a wig video (tyler oakly stoned wig haul style (doesn't have to be stoned)) so he can have fun wearing long swishy wigs

Phil as god: "Hey guys smash that like button, today we're going to talk about what the f*ck a giraffe is" lmaooooooo

I'm fully with you. I thought he might be taking the opportunity to test out an uncle look, I feel like they're all obligated to have hairy faces.

For my own amusement, I'm just gonna assume that Dan spoke out a veto against Phil growing an actual beard for this video for whatever reason. ngl, I'm a beard anti but it was still kinda disappointing to not see the real thing.

Not sure if this will be of interest to anyone else but I just noticed Dan follows Tim Henson (thew6rst) from the band Polyphia on both Instagram and Twitter. It looks like the follow on Instagram happened in late January of this year, which is interestingly about two weeks before they had a show in London. The Twitter follow looks to be more recent, maybe early November, and Tim actually reciprocated the follow. Dan also followed Ichika Nito, another guitarist who plays in a somewhat similar style, on both platforms (plus Spotify) around the same times. I was slightly surprised at first, sometimes I forget his music taste is fairly broad since he's mostly made mention of experimental pop/hip hop music in recent years. I also saw a couple people theorize that the 62 minute Arca song was Dan's top song because he may have listened to it while writing, which makes sense seeing as Polyphia and Nito's music is almost entirely instrumental as well. I wish he had shared more of his Spotify Wrapped, but now I'm eager to see his top 10 albums of the year post.

I thought the beard video was really fun. It was a light hearted enjoyable Phil video that won't be on my 'rewatch multiple times' list but I still appreciated nonetheless. I'm actually way more excited for the Seth livestreaming coming up... I'm nervous/excited about it because with Louise I had a feel for their vibes individually and also a little bit together, they've had actual history hanging out irl, but with Seth. What will it be??? I love the anticipation so much.

It's also just really lovely to know when the next bit of Phil content is coming. I really enjoy that he timed this spon for December because it really does just add a nice celebratory feel to a month that is already weird because of pandemic stuff.

This was a fun and regular AP video and I had fun with watching it. I was really surprised this video was even made because he’s doing so much this month so even though I’d prefer a real beard this was okay.
Sometimes it’s easy to get dragged down by negativity and i haven’t seen a lot of that here but even if there are some videos like this one I’m excited to know we still have new things coming and a big video to end the year

Am I wrong or is one of Wirrow’s paintings now where the Muse poster used to be?

You're right!! I wonder if the Muse poster got moved to the new place? I still can't decide if I think they actually might be staying in the filming flat or not. I really thought they wouldn't even hint about moving until they were fully in, but this is a weird year, whatever plans they had may just have not worked out exactly on schedule. But the Muse poster has a lot of sentimental value for them, I'd assume, so I can't imagine them getting rid of it.

Yeah, my first thought was that they must have moved it to the new place but I don’t get why they would put another painting on? Unless it was to not leave that wall empty since it will probably appear on Phil’s Outfits vid. :hmmm:

I'm really sad to say that this AP video was a miss for me. I wasn't actually expecting him to show us him with his true beard, but I was hoping he would at least consider it, maybe actually react to more beard edits, there are so many that are actually so good and look realistic. That said, I'm on team beard all the way so I was at least hoping he would try some beards that looked.. decent.

Usually when a video is not my cup of tea I can at least say that I got to see Phil's beautiful face but not this time, so I sadly didn't enjoy it. Big sad.

I'm gonna patiently wait for the outfit video. I'm not... a fan of Seth, and for some reason I find the idea of him interacting with Phil a bit cringe? I can't actually explain it, I'm hoping to be gladly surprised but I'm mostly worried of second-hand embarrassment
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

I have a little fear of this. I am not not a fan of Seth, I just don't know much about him. I assume there is some appeal there that I just haven't seen enough of his content to understand so I'm not biased against him exactly. He's just a blank in my mind.

I think the thing keeping me tilted more toward excitement on the scale of content enjoyment is that I think it might be good for Phil to be interacting with other creators just so he can get the work in to figuring out if he wants to do it long term and what style works best with other people. I mean, one of the benefits of doing content with Dan is that Dan could fully call out things that were corny or overplayed or cheesy and that self-awareness made it funny. People that aren't Dan won't do that so the potential for it to be stilted is much higher. I find Phil's corniness charming as hell, but I don't know that every creator will. If he does end up doing something podcast like or streaming to Twitch, I'd rather him work out the flaws in the system where he can record live (so we hear the whole raw cut) then edit later for youtube.

The muse poster is still there. It’s on the other wall. I think maybe the view is flipped?

Are you talking about the framed thing behind him? Because that’s not the poster.

Here's a better example of the Wirrow painting having replaced the Muse poster, unless I'm misunderstanding things.

Remember when Dan was "relocating" the Wirrow painting just before the last move? Yeah me too.
