I'd say by creating this space we gave them easier access to monitoring us, the only problem is finding a link. I said in another tread that now we can place bets under which usernames on here they are hiding, since this is a more closed-off community and easier to track. Good find felucca on change of attitude in 2013 radioshows&ls, watching them back definitely forms some interesting perspective. 2013 (and 2014) radioshows (rip) have so much moments that ask to be analyzed (and weren't discussed in detail), I wish had better sourcing skills (and dedication) to support some suggestions with specific links.

I'm kind of envious of the people who have been able to watch them grow over the years...! I'd been aware of them for a long time but only started watching them over the last few months.
It's fascinating to see their evolution and how it plays with the evolution of youtube too. Really interested in felucca find and vincentian's theory: I agree, working together on the radioshows, the gaming channel and the book must have brought them to a better understanding of one another. They seem so in tune with each other. Isn't there an interview where they said that they often have different opinions but compromise a lot?

Oh god, 21 pages already on the brand new thread #1. I just don't think I have it in me to read through that, but I admire the hell out of you people for it.
Due to not reading most of what you actually posted about, here's my bullet points of things almost certainly covered already:
1) I wanted to wring their scrawny little necks the second I heard Dan say flash game, but the way it was presented, it seemed like he was 100% knowledgeable of the fact that everyone's sick of them. :sarcastic: "yay! flash gaaaaamme!". Despite this fact, I did enjoy it. It was silly and they actually seemed to get sucked into it.
2) No Easter baking video? 20 lashes to both of you boys.
3) At this rate, I sincerely doubt we're getting a cheeky AprilFools video.
4) Phil, it's been a month since you updated your freakin' Instagram.

Omg, the way Phil got into it was amazing to watch. I wish they'd just spend like an hour or more playing this game and filmed it. Most of the flash games they've played have been not-so-good (I'm thinking of the damn chimbot and everything with big, fat AD attached to it), but the newest video really was entertaining. Kind of cute, too. At least I laughed, which I thought I wouldn't when I realized it was gonna be yet another flash game
Still - why all the flash games, guys? I'd rather watch them play a game that they're actually really into (I'm thinking of Phil & Fallout, which I'd just love to see him play) than having all the bantz. Thank god for Undertale, though.

The thing I personally want to take from GG, is the fact that you don't have to like everything. Sure, we should all be D&P fans, but not everything they do is gold. I like variety in opinions, because it sparks discussion and can bring out some really interesting theories.mermaid blood wrote:

The only thing I wish we had more is more variety tbh. This place kind of proves that there is more, but I can also see how many people are lurking about.
With the phandom, it sometimes seems that only the native English speaking/young female demographic is represented, yet we know there are plenty of "older" (I cringe, calling someone in their late twenties/ thirties old) or non-female fans from various places around the world. (Russian Phandom pls) I feel like nobody should be ashamed for liking something, especially if that something is an innocent cinnamon roll.
This super-reminded me of the Teen react video, where Eric seemed to be very hesitant to mention that he really likes Dan and Phil.
Just some thoughts.

Well, here is the thing that makes me very despaired, this that variety in phandom doesn't change anything, for deppy their time and energy is limited so they have to spend it on maximizing their profit, so all they do is to just cater to their biggest audience group, teenage girls. So I plan to make a proposal to channelflip/D&P, ask them to consider turning on "add subtitle" functions for D&P video, so that people who want to contribute to translate their videos to another language can do that with a simple click.

re: gaming channel, i don't mind them playing various flash games, they can be pretty fun and entertaining. however i do mind how often they upload other content, such as a series of let's plays. that's one of the reasons why i can't wait for the tour to be over, i wish they stopped playing the sims. let alone dil, they are so bad at this game and it upsets me, they should do at least a bit of research. we have over 20 episodes and they still suck. #sorrynotsorry
it's different with undertale, they're also noobish and have a lot of luck (maybe too much

Yup, I really enjoyed the discussions that were varied and I think this will continue on here because the posters are ultimately the same.
