The only thing that I can psychoanalyze here is the fact that Dan uses a lot more words to EXPLAIN his weirdness, which is kinda what he does - apologies and explains things in the fear that people get it wrong, while Phil's page has no explanations on it (and is weirder).
(I love how Dan tells us not to psychoanalyze the page,like srsly, I'm your mother and I do what I want when I'm concerned)

I like how Dan's doodle are small and plenty, very busy and convoluted (with apologies written too) whereas Phil's are more in your face, like a statement but with a very definite surreal style. Yet again, Dan is easy analysis fodder. Although the part I've bolded/underlined probably applies to both of them whilst writing the book and preparing the tour before the announcement went out. That must have been a scary scary time for the pair of them. All good now though!

RE the TABINOF doodle pages: the "no no no no no ok" part of Dan's stood out to me the most. I feel like this is his attitude towards most of the work he does. His apologies and explanations add to the insecurity theme that I usually see with him. It seems like he's trying to one-up Phil's drawings with more intricate and detailed ones, but I have no idea for certain, obviously.
