i just really love their dynamics with louise you can see that they're actual friends this video felt like a hug it made me so happy

it's a bit hard to hear what everyone is saying during a lot of moments (may be bc it isn't my first language i guess) but overall i enjoyed it much more than phils collabs with hazel (soz phil), phil just seemed a lot more comfortable in this video, which is probably because he is surrounded by people he feels at ease with (:

I'm too swamped with work to go long form with this, so my thoughts jotted down while watching and some timestamps under the spoiler.

0:35 - Dan's little tongue in the teeth thing.
0:57 - Phil you little liar. You don't go into anything without a plan.
2:04 - Phil is so unphased by Dan's fist in his mouth.
3:06 - Somehow this makes me think Phil is not as appreciative as Dan is of the sometimes withering sense of humor their fanbase has.
4:18-4:40 - They totally had a domestic spat over that, didn't they? Those expressions, especially when Dan realizes Phil is about to tell the story.
5:54 - "That was like, he's been going at it for half an hour, just the right place." okay Phil's expression here and the way he's laughing then starts to laugh harder and then it turns to that silent laugh. Ahhh I love Phil so much in this video, is anyone surprised? Come here you precious awkward man-giant and I will pet your cheeks fondly.
6:00 - generic timestamp, but I think the whole traveling/ihop story is when they start to get more comfortable.
6:48 - "I like the word mated." "I'll perform the brooding."
7:09 - Phil with his props. I appreciate that they didn't actually let him redirect for long. The wild inappropriate humor of Dan and Louise cannot be tamed by your plush shibe, Phil, I'm sorry. Give in, it'll hurt less.
8:47 - "It was like hard... thick..." I love that Phil starts snickering first.
9:50 - "Just get naked, gentlemen." I just find Dan's use of gentlemen interesting.
9:56 - Louise kinkshaming. Tsk, tsk.
10:07 - She looks at Phil to confirm whether Dan is a furry or not.
10:30 - Dan's receding hairline. Why does it just make me wanna pinch his cheeks, too?
11:03 - Phil's little giggle and "Oh yeah!" kind of makes me melt.
11:30 - Dan turned everything in this video into a sexual joke/innuendo except the one part where he's actually talking about a girl grabbing and massaging his ass.

Now onto me possibly going down the negative route (gasp), Phil seemed a bit awkward to me. And I don't mean this as like he did anything wrong, but he just kept seeming out of place? He wasn't saying much

It reminded me of the "Can Phil express an opinion" panel. You can see him thinking, and being right on the verge of saying something, then giving up cos he doesn't want to interrupt. And trying to steer the conversation away from the more adult themes. No chance(!)
Dan and Louise had the same easy friendly interaction/banter as in the prank calls/embarrassing moments collabs they did a while ago. Dan's reaction to getting the cactus spines out with his teeth (man-style first aid!) and Louise going all mummy-ish and sorting it out. Bad Poe!

Now onto me possibly going down the negative route (gasp), Phil seemed a bit awkward to me. And I don't mean this as like he did anything wrong, but he just kept seeming out of place? He wasn't saying much and when he was, he was getting interrupted super often (though to be fair, about 25% of the video was them all trying to talk at once (and I was amused by it )). It was like he was trying to pull off his normal sense of humor, like pulling out the cactus and dogs and such, but everything he did went unacknowledged for quite a while, which just kind of made him seem a bit more awkward than not IMO. Then I noticed that for over half the video, Louise is angled in her chair more towards Dan, and IDK, body language + the other things left me feeling a bit

on the whole i've always preferred phil's solo content to his collabs (even though when it comes to dan i've always adored his collaborations - i've seen his vids with a tyler a truly ridiculous number of times ) because i find the way he stares at the camera rather than looking at the other person really off putting? in deppy collabs (lol do those even count as collabs at this point) it doesn't affect me as much because i spend most of the time watching dan's face rather than phil's, but in phil's videos with other ppl i really notice it

dan is a confirmed furry. phil deffo looked worried when he said that tbh haha. phil thought it was going to be something else

actually loved the video, i love louise though so them three together is wonderful. after everything hazel has said in the days after her and phils collabs, i've really gone off her. so this video was great, they have all got such good chemistry together.

when louise was massaging dan and phils hair, i was like omg they both showed such a vulnerable side haha.

Loved the vid, will download, I love the casual-hanging out with them feeling it gave me, and I love Louise. + all the innuendos were top notch. (Plus head massaging? Who knew I'd get so much joy out of watching someone get a head massage.)

I'm afraid I'm coming off as super "Phil defense squad" and I swear I'm not, I'm just trying to make objective observations more than anything.
IDK, take everything I say with a grain of salt because I'm sure I'll rewatch the video and look at other people's opinions and everything I currently thing will change.

Also, at the end Louise and Dan talked about the video they did together, but I thought they also did one with Phil? Or am I crazy and that's just an idea I created in my head and there's on a Dan-Louise collab after this?

I noticed that too! There were moments where Phil found it difficult to cut into the conversation. I agree that Louise seemed to angle more towards Dan (but Dan and Louise are probably closer than Phil and Louise right?) Phil seemed a bit out of place.

I don't think it's Phil defense squad, I think it's the 'Phil, chill out for a sec, everything is fine" squad. He is just not comfortable in open-ended environments (no script/no planning) and it shows. I think that's what his face was about too; he didn't know what Dan was going to say, and that's terrifying (I'm not even talking ; he's obviously aware of the 'little hinting' Dan's been doing about his own sexuality) so the conversation couldn't flow too smoothly and ends up slightly awkward in places. But that's ok! Baby steps.

fancybum, I was just about to make that point. While Dan was in control of the conversation at that point, Phil was not in touch with Dan's 'plan' at all, and it shows SO MUCH in his face. Everyone says how much of a poker face Phil has, but I dare say this is one of the few times where you could read Phil's face like a book.

I love this collab! So many moments I really need to rewatch.

When Dan fits his hand to his mouth, Phil definitely is not surprised, at all. He just shake his head a bit and said 'no i can't do it that way' really calmly.

When Dan #confirmed he's a furry, Phil's awkward face and afterward the wHOLE 3 SECONDS awkward silence all not looking at each other

There are some moments where Phil try to talk and they talk over him that made me feel bad at Phil, but they all try to talk over each other, and it get better as the video goes on.

I feel like the second half is where the best part on. They were more relaxed and the persona wore off.

I think they both had to work their way into comfort zones with the lack of structure. Dan overcompensated to start off with by his constant frantic interruptions and zany gestures/word repetitions (Louise even asks him what he's doing at one point), and Phil undercompensated by letting the two louder/more boisterous people set the pace. But they both eased into it by halfway through, and I think Phil's coming up with the props was cute and self-aware; he even specifically says at one point that he has props.

Some more thoughts/things I found interesting:
- Please Phil, like I believe that you don’t have any idea what you are going to film. I don’t buy it, he certainly plans it.
- Let it go! “No”.
- Even Phil was scared by the face that Dan was pulling, can’t blame him.
- Phil still didn’t look impressed by how wide Dan can open his mouth. We all know why.
- Dan at times was off in his own little world. I feel like Phil’s weirdness has definitely rubbed off on him.
- One of the things Phil liked best about the tour was trying new things. I hope that this means he is more open to trying other things as well. That would be nice.
-Apparently how you pronounce Nutella is very important.
-Bad Dan for putting the cookies in the bin. I would have loved the conversation they must have had after that. Also I too would have eaten those cookies to be honest.
- The boys getting all indignant that Louise actually got a proper bus while they just had the van.
Even with Phil right there, Dan had to bring him up in conversation.
- I say keep making things creepy Phil, I enjoy that.
- Dan only now realizing that they’re not going to be at home for a while, that is what happens when one goes on tour.
-Dan’s face when Louise starts making those noises, talking about IHOP.
And then of course that comment.
- If Dan and Louise mated, which word Phil likes, then it will look like Zoe.
- Not a big fan of the spider talk, could have done without that.
- Dan wants to be naked and get Shiba inus rubbed all over him. No judgment here. Well maybe a tiny bit.
- Loved Louise giving those head messages. Also yes, mess up their hair. Louise knows what we, the people, want.
- The whole butt message talk was great. Louise got a bit third wheeled there for a moment.
- The rules of live, don’t touch the stomach or the tits. Good to know.
- Dan wanting to apologize for himself, and Louise being all you don’t have to. Very sweet.

I just really liked this video.

I really enjoyed the collab but I was expecting to as I usually enjoy them with Louise, but I do agree with others who found Phil a little awkward in it at times.

And Dan thinks TATINOF is going to last a month? He really needs to pay better attention to his own schedule. Unless this was filmed so far back they weren't sure how long they'd be away...

And I feel so bad for Phil whenever they bring up his travel sickness, as someone who gets travel sickness I know how badly it can suck and he is going to have to spend so much time on that bus as well as doing a ridiculous amount of shows. I can only imagine how crap that will be if his in a permanently nauseous state from the endless bus journeys.

i found it really awkward tbh, they kept talking over each other or trying to change the subject in a really unnatural way. i didn't see the friendship that they seem to actually have, especially with phil and louise. it didn't move like a real conversation but also wasn't a planned 'this is what we are going to talk about' and it made it feel weird
and i feel like every video either of them are in has to have a dick joke or reference every 3 and a half minutes. i didn't find it funny to start with and now it's just way more annoying imo

I was just about to write this. I loved the video because it was so bombastic and Dan confirmed he was a furry but Phil seemed uncomfortable. I felt like Louise was ignoring him and he was trying to be comfortable but he clearly wasn't. We saw this with Dan in PJ's collab. Phil's expressions were really clear to read. I thought I was watching Phil instead of AP and I wanted to hear him talk more but he kept getting interrupted and again he was being polite and letting them talk over him. I think it's because Dan and Louis humor goes together better. I think she also edited it to keep all the crazy things Dan said because they would make a huge impression with the
"wow" factor but I'm sad that Phil got cut out of it. Anyway he said some funny things and his expressions and eye contact with Dan after the furry comment cannot have been intentional. It was clear he was shocked at Dan admitted their private times

I loved the new video, I do agree with the fact that Phil seemed a little awkward at times but it was SO much better than the Hazel video imo. I love a Phil that doesn't have any control that sounded oddly sexual but I promise it wasn't the subject changes were a by awkward, but I don't think that's unusual. The way that these chill types of videos work leaves those awkward transitions in instead of cutting whole bits out.
When Dan said at the end: "I apologize for how I look and what I said" (or something along those lines)... Idk... Louise seemed to take it seriously and it just got a bit awkward and made my heart twinge a little. Are you ok, Dan? Insecurity isn't as #relatable as it used to be, so if that was a joke then I think you should refrain next time. If it wasn't a joke... Sad face.
The hair massaging... Omg. Phil "backing into it" or whatever Louise said Phil was doing... I was laughing so hard. The awkward silence at 8:45 was BY FAR my favorite.
And Dan freaking out for that one second after he touched the cactus... Gold. 10/10 will watch again.

Bless you and your ability to explain things about Phil without sounding like you're either defending him blindly, or condemning him for somehow not being as good/smooth/whatever as Dan, which seem to be the two most common extremes. Totally agree with what you said.

I thought both Phil and Dan were noticeably more relaxed than usual. They held back less than usual just as Louise requested. You can see that they all get along well and actually see each other outside youtube collabs.
Don't think it was awkward at all. At least not more than they want it to be The whole thing got a dorkish / nerdish / random charm which i like. Personally i prefer their vids when they are less refined and sripted.

Although, I was entertained by the video. It proved to me that Louise is Dan's friend. I love Phil's face and eyes but he was not angling or looking at Dan and Louise. While when he had his collab with Hazel or even Carrie, he had the love eyes Lester look(thanks tumblr). He knows how to work with them than with Louise. Despite this I never felt that Louise ostracised Phil, which I love about Louise.
