I've been wondering why their vids don't have any subtitles! I have a friend who's little sister loves Tyler, he was the first English speaking youtuber she started following, since he has subtitles in her native language. I tried to recommend D&P channels but since there's no subs, it's a bit hard for her to follow.

It would do wonders for her English studies.
Though I must admit that, now that we're talking languages - it kinda makes me cringe how many English native people seem to think that non-native people just can't understand English. This isn't meant to be towards gg peeps, no worries, but I've seen so many people say on tumblr etc. that it's impossible for them to tour on anywhere else than English speaking countries.

I agree with you that a lot of young people in non English speaking countries understand English very well and Dan and Phil definitely could (I hope they do) tour some of those countries but I also agree that the English proficiency is a big brake for their tour.
1st understanding a video where you can listen several times, looks into the comments, ask for help... and understanding a live performance show where there is also gonna be a lot of screaming is very different. So some people might already question if it's not better to wait for a recording of it.
2nd you have to have friends 1st who know of Dan and Phil and second who can understand English as well as you do. I know that in my case, I can't think of a friend who could understand their show honestly.
3rd if you are on the younger spectrum, you have to hope your parents understand English or don't mind going to a show where they will understand nothing.
So all those factor do make it more difficult. It's not like a concert where you know the songs already or don't care if you don't understand everything.

More than the language part I also think that Dan and Phil are not incredibly well known in countries outside of English speaking countries. This! Maybe we should start first making people in the tumblr and twitter phandom know that this is a good thing. And D&P don't have to do any work, is the phandom in each part of the world the ones that put the subs.
The problem is, I literally don't know anyone on tumblr

I can tweet updatephan but I'm not sure she will be interested to help me. Also I don't want to make it into another "get phil on google doddle for his birthday" cringefest and people pressuring deppy into doing things they don't want to do. Also I understand since deppy are not multilingual so it's hard to monitor the quality and honesty of the subtitles, some people might use their popularity to spread false information or evil propaganda. So before I really do anything I need to have a thorough plan of how it could work.

I've been trying to promote deppy in the chinese speaking community but it doesn't work very well, apparently young people think they are not gay enough, i'm like "excuse me?" Meanwhile Troye and Connor are incredibly popular.

That is probably it.
Although I do have to admit that I am fascinated by how much time Dan and Phil seem to spend together. Even when they were touring and saw each other all the time, they still went to the movies together. I just can’t comprehend not getting sick of someone after spending that much time together.

First of all, I don't know if I read the tone correcly but if I gave the tone of "ofc everyone can speak english lolz" I'm really sorry! Didn't mean to sound condensing or something. I'm a bit priviledged in the sense that I live in a nordic country and here, people are really good at English.
I'm basing my opinion on the survey and if I remember correctly, they have quite a lot of fans in Europe (and I apologize, my knowledge on these kind of things is mostly just for Europe, I have no idea how many fans they have in for example Asia and South America, nevertheless for the English profiency they have there).
Those are good points, but I'd still say that at least an European tour is not impossible. Probably wouldn't be too long though, since as for the nordic counries a show in Stockholm could make people arrive from several countries. France, Germany also. Just a few shows, and I'm sure the more dedicated fans would show up. If someone is able to follow their vids, the tour show doesn't seem too compicated to follow, even though I'm basing this mostly on the audio track someone provided ages ago.

I agree with this. Where I live most people speak English okay, and can understand it pretty well. In the TABINOF book, my country was listed as one of the top ten countries where Phil's subscribers come from. So I hope that it means that they might come here.

I live in Brazil, and there's some people here that watch D&P, none that I've ever met, as I live in a small city far from capitals...and I don't know many people...But ANYWAYS, even if they watch them, I'm not sure bringing TATINOF here would be the greatest idea. Not many people are that good at English, and it would be very hard to understand what the fuck they're saying live.
And I'm also being a bit selfish, because people here are very very loud (I'm sure some of you must've heard about that lol), and I'm 100% the teenagers would be screaming lots of embarrassing things. It would be the worst.
But yes, I agree that adding subtitles to their videos is a great idea!

Hearing of the recent Youtuber breakups (Hangrid, possibly Tronner idk I don't follow them particularly) is another reminder for me as to why Dan and Phil never went and unfortunately likely never will go public; public breakups are messy and stressful, even back in the old days when youtubers were less popular/in the public eye break ups blew into huge things for example I remember Alex Day (sorry to bring him up

) had some bad ones very early on which I feel like might have influenced phan's decision to stay ambiguous (just about.. ) from the start.

I have to disagree [amicably

] with you here: Personally, his style of editing takes a lot of work, or so I think, because Caisey puts a lot of effort in the details, like matching the music in his vlogs with the cuts. His vlogs are expertly made imo; one narrative is developed so the viewer can easily follow; use of different angles and shots etc etc. (Also the sexy girlfriend thing is just to get people to click on the video in the first place; I don't think they stay for the sexy gf..or wife in his case)
To contrast that with deppy: while I do enjoy most of their videos, par a few like ISG, they are not that difficult to edit, especially with the format both of them have been going for nowadays. Phil's content as of 2016 is hardly more than a sit down vlog and, while quite enjoyable to watch, really not that demanding to produce as well as to edit.
I don't want to make unfair comparisons, but I think the difference in approach to their work is striking. Then again...behind the scenes and such

Welcome to the forum.

Not only Alex, but PJ and Lex Croucher (tyrannosauruslexxx) went out for a year and then broke up, it was pretty much the biggest drama on YouTube in 2010. Lex even wrote a song about him. Another notable messy break-up was Kalel and Anthony, another friend of theirs. I can imagine witnessing this stuff first-hand really put them off coming out publicly (y'know, if they are together.) Also, why do people think Tronnor broke up??

I'm going to disagree with you daphenexa:if someone sees their videos usually they would understand english and don't forget, at least where I live, that younger people are taught english from when they are small( like now some begin in kindergarden) and also tend to see foreign shows. From this point of view I'm not sure but I think the only change would be that their fans in non english- speaking countries would be that they will be a little older? (has someone made a research regarding this?)
They can do a EU tour but probably will do one or two shows for every country.
Also, maybe I'm the only one that didn't undertand but are we "sure" that Dan was with them on Saturday? From wirrow tweet I saw three drinks?
