Dan & Phil Part 11: Kinda queer and terrible #ComeTogether

I'm actually super sad right now because in my mind i always always thought Phil was gonna be Undyne and Dan was gonna be Alphie. Now it feels like weirdly out of order or something.

Anyway, it's always nice to have an hour long LP to satisfy my trashy needs , they both looked relaxed, thumbs up for Dan didn't try too hard

Btw i don't think they watched others play before because from the Alphie part, you know they didn't.

Oh yeah... I too expected Dan being Alphys and Phil Undyne. I like Phil's Alphys voice though
And maybe not all, but they knew to pour water on Undyne faaaar too quickly. Also Dan's face while talking to some characters...

It's midnight and I really need to start studying now, but one fascinating moment for me was the bit right after the epic "we're on a bed with a camera pointing at us, it looks dodgy" - and then, Phil says something along the lines of how him having closed the curtains makes it seem even more so.

I just LOVE Dan's "No, it just looks like we want some privacy" combined with that epic eye-roll, it feels like a first real indicator I've noticed of Dan expressing frustration at Phil's fear of what other people might think of him or say behind his back & wanting to control that. It felt very real. I liked it.

I genuinely don't know anything about the game outside of videos, and I thought the water cup was a fairly obvious next step? I can't judge otherwise though. I'm sure that knowing the entire game makes watching the videos a very different experience than going into it blind.

I also don't know what it would've done if they'd kept it, but It did make me sad about the snowman piece. Although to be fair, if I hadn't rewatched the earlier episodes a few times, I probably wouldn't have remembered it was significant either.

Also, i don't agree with them knowing/watching other play because:
1. The commented Dan made about Jack going to the bathroom was about his first undertale video after they already filmed it.
2. Expression/reaction to characters CAN be totally genuine even when people swear to God they look suspicious/reacting too fast, because people react to things in their own way and we can't really predict/prove that. edit: (no seriously giving Undyne the water is like the only thing my mind immediately jump to when i first watch Jack play it)
3. They still frustates a lot of undertale fans because they miss some things/do something wrong/almost get some small secret if they took that one step.

They didn't visit/hang out with Undyne when Papyrus tell them too (smh, they really need to though). They almost got Alphys' crush on Undyne right until Dan ruined it. They eat the snowpiece (!) and almost eat the spider cider. They missed Alphys giving the exact answer to Mettaton's questions. They didn't sell anything in Temmie's village & didn't want to pay that 1000g too. edit again: how could i forget this, i think, they'll see flowey creeping on them if they continue to go back down a bit more in that wish room.

I might forget what else they missed.

I hope they take the boat back to snowdin to take another snow piece and not f up the next time.

Can't wait to see them 'fighting' the two guards, sends temmie to college sometimes later and hangs out with undyne, but tbh, the next undertale is probably 84 years away

Yes!! I guess that was worth the wait. I liked this video, an hour of distraction from adult-ing. I surprisingly liked Dan in this video because he was not over the top. I liked his comments as well: hug, closing of curtain and youtubers. Yes, Dan!! I want to hear more.

I am close to buying a "gaming" laptop because I really want to play Sims4 and Undertale. I saw all the comments how D&P missed a lot of things. I want to know what could have happened.

20:19 - I don't want to harp too much on the in persona/out of persona thing but Phil's voice and expressions are very un-AmazingPhil like in this video. His expression right here seemed a bit... real. I like it.

Loved Undertale as per usual, but the flaws of having the episodes spaced out for so long are starting to show, I think. This was what I was worried about when D&P started playing and knowing how their uploading schedule is: Them starting to not take the story as seriously and just going through it in small increments, thus giving the story telling less impact than it would have if they just played the game the whole way through in one go. :[ I just hope the ending gets them in some way.

Anyway, the conspiracy theory is still at the back of my mind, noticed some funny comments here and there, especially with the Tems, but otherwise they made enough mistakes (The Alphys thing. I definitely didn't notice her giving the answers the first time I played, even though it was in plain sight) that I'm not too as I was last time. Or maybe that was the plan!!

Spoiler time for something that Dan commented on I-don't-remember-when:

I'm going to blame YouTube comments for this, but knowing that Dan is aware of the genocide run (and even calling the runners "genociders" lmao) is making me imagine D&P fighting Sans. They would definitely pull a Dodger and clock in at 10 hours trying to beat him.

Also, lol at Dan sideyeing the two guards and at Phil figuring out Alphys had a crush on Undyne (even if he got talked out of it by Dan reeeee)

And for people worried that they won't unlock all the character events, the game forces you to go back after the final boss if you don't complete it all, so no worries. (I don't think this is a spoiler, right?)

Me too!! I only realised when the long question in small letters come up, and it was math and I was like, how am I gonna count that, and look somewhere else on screen for clues and finally pays a bit of attention to Alphys.

But nerdy reads the whole question and guess the (wrong) answer.

In all my rambling, I kinda forgot to say that I love this episode as usual! I feel like I finally arrive at the oasis after hundred years walking and now currently bathing under the waterfall. Lab rat is currently happy.

Loved the video~ I have no knowledge about Undertale beyond videos and find the game both intriguing and kinda boring, but it's all good because they're usually adorable in these.

Dan's voice for Temmie was funny and had me in tears. Dan's voice when he teased Phil and said 'But you did so well' with that fond smile had me in tears for a whole different reason. And I find it so funny that they used to be all like 'We don't call each other Danny and Philly that's ridiculous and gross' but now Phil calls Dan by Danny like all the time. loved undertale as per usual. everyone p much pointed out my favourite parts already! ngl i started to get bored during the undyne fight, after they died it felt like it was going on forever but after that it picked back up again. looking forward to the next episode, hope it's sooner rather than later (why do i torture myself by not watching any other undertale playthroughs so i just get the full experience from d&p rip)

About Dan's new branding, I'm excited! I think the username DanHowell would reflect a more adult channel, and hopefully they'll switch to more adult content. (adult as in mature and funny, not the other kind of adult- although i wouldn't mind that either ) It seems like the book and tour were definitely aimed at young fans, but maybe when it's over they'll be going in a different direction? I just hope a phan divorce isn't coming anytime soon. my heart would break.

I liked the Undertale vid but I definitely think it'd work better as a series if it was more consistent, I'd almost forgotten what had happened so far in the time since the last episode there were some cute moments and from what I've seen/heard there should be more good stuff to come!
