I can't decide to psychoanalyze first or to watch the weakest link first, dammit.

Okay I will do the analyze first. Warning: Armchair psychology.

First look in Dan's doodle, the page is way fuller than Phil's, he seems to have a lot of content. Shows how much he likes to express himself, and his tendency to do everything to the fullest extent (aka perfectionism). His strokes are wavy and messy, even when he draws identical objects, they look quite different (stars or lines) shows that he doesn't pay much attention to details. A lot of things he draws are independent from each other, some are connected but rarely so, it represents he have a lot of different ideas and purposes, sometimes too much or even conflict with each other, makes him hard to decide what he truly wants or distract him from his goals.

Closer look at Dan's doodle, as you all mentioned, there are a lot of explanations to his doodle, shows he doesn't want people to misunderstand him, he cares about how other people sees him. There are A LOT OF PUNS, A LOT, it shows that his inner Phil-ness. There are a lot of things are not original, like the pie pie, the Godzilla, the llama with the hat, sauron's eye, doodle noodle that looks like groot, and the sun with lenny face, on one side shows his ability to absorb and learn very quickly, on the other hand shows he is easily influenced, sometimes it prevents him to be completely original.

His stair house connected to a terrace i would say? Doesn't look like a garden, and some cows are singing or preforming? And a path to somewhere far away, another cow being abducted by UFO. Very interesting. Here is my conspiracy theory: If we see the staircase as a way of moving forward or upwards (towards a goal or a better place) then he has a house UNDER the staircase, meaning he see his way of moving forward, but he cannot do it, he is trapped underneath. And the stair doesn't lead anywhere. It may means his fear of the unknown future? And the preforming cows, there are four of them, one went to a different path and got suck into a UFO. What else do preforming for a living and if you don't do that you are fucked? THE FANTASTIC FOURSOME. Clearly the cow being abducted is Chris, and the other 3 performing cows who trapped under the staircases are him, Phil and PJ.

I have both & would say that they're the best together, like I was flipping my written copy as they were reading it & it was really fun. However, I'd say that if you're only budgeted for one, the physical copy's better. The book's designed really well & it's half the fun whereas there could have been more improv bits in the audiobook.

I think it's worth it, tabinof is a very visual book, it has a lot of pictures and drawings in it, and taanof apparently have more #bants. But I would say if you only want one, get the tabinof. I got both thanks to taylor oakley. Also cuz i'm a trash.

I enjoyed the audio book more than the book itself tbh. I thought it was great.

Just watched Phil on the Weakest Link and that hair. I just can’t. I’m with Anne on this one.
Do like his natural hair color though, that was nice to see.

Loved how sassy Phil was, he definitely held his own against Anne, I always like it when he shows that side of him. Also very interesting that even then he knew that he didn’t really want to do anything with his English and linguistic degree. I wonder why he chose to do that in the first place instead of doing something with film from the start since that was clearly what he wanted to do.
He did really well in the beginning, but not so great nearing the end. Can’t believe he didn’t know what a pangram was.
Overall I think he made a good impression. And yes he certainly did not end up at the bottom.

Phil's tweet makes me think of Japan straight away because of tentacles. Is it possible he have a short detour to Japan?

I would tell your friend yes. I loved the audiobook, it is a great addition to the physical book. I would recommend it.

I think my favourite bit of the Weakest Link video is Anne hating on Phil's terrible endearing hair
"What are you studying? I didn't think you were studying hairdressing.." "[you're the hero] with that haircut?!"
I forgot how horrible she is to the contestants though, I felt really bad for Marie Clare is amazing with that end comment "Anne said I looked to old for my age so I might spend some of the money on cosmetic surgery so that I could look like her"

Phil's doodle

Warning: armchair psychology.

Phil's doodle, is very hard to tell, unlike dan's, his doodle doesn't seems to have a explanation of what it is, in fact most of it doesn't make sense. It truly, dare I say, shows how random he is.

His doodle is more centered in the page and everything are connected. Shows he is a single minded person. His strokes are clean and heavy, shows he has determination and confidence. He hides all the connection points very well, it's hard to tell where a line starts and where it ends, I think it shows how good he is at disguising himself.

Almost all the important part of his doodle, are not very straight forward a things, like a person that's not really a person, a cow that's not really a cow (what is it with all the cows), a monster that's not really a monster, and a thought bubble that's not really a thought bubble. I think they shows how he see things different than others. Or how complex he is as a person.

The big person I think is Phil himself, and everything are drawn around him, and I think it is the first thing he draw, maybe indicate that he is a self centered person.

There are two staircases in his doodle (and a ladder leading up to the UFO), one is in the middle of the page, very short, and connected with his thought bubble, it may indicate he has a clear vision of his short term plan/goal. And the other staircase is a folded staircase that leads to no where and it's on the corner of the page, it may indicate he has fear for a long term future and see the road leading to the future very difficult.

I think that's all I can made up. I'm gonna GTFO.

I really doubt that they would go for a quick stop in Japan right now, too much still left to be done. At least if they want to have some videos pre filmed. I would love for another Japhan trip, but don't see it happening now. All I am hoping for are some vloggy goodness bits from their tour. Don't disappoint me .

BTW the cows in their doodle, they both have cows, cows produce milk, they are tender creatures. It represents a maternal instinct. It's interesting they both have cows in their drawing.

Phil's cow is big, it may represents his connection/bond with his mother is very strong. Or maybe he has strong maternal instinct. #GetPhilAKid2K16 But the cow is covered in checkerboard pattern? Idk why.

Dan's cows are small, but there are four of them, maybe he wants four kids. #GetDan4Kids2K16

phil on the Weakest link: i actually dont know if i want the natural hair color back. Black is nice and it suits him more. But he was such a cute little tiny baby...
I thought phil would be more anxious in the show. He had his moments where he was obviously stressed but in general he was pretty chill. His hands were steady and the little conversation with Anne was fine. He seemed kind of unfazed to me like he was on drugs... And i loved his voice and his accent..its so different now

dans doodle page is so aesthetically pleasing to me with all of the tiny pictures and writing and how every space is filled with the right sized thing god its really pretty it makes my asd brain so happy i only have taabinof which is hilarious and excellentand not the physical book so i like seeing the photos and scans from the book itself
i probably wont watch the weakest link (though well done on finding!! i'm sure phil uploaded it to lessamazingphil briefly but he deleted it before he got a copyright complaint yeah how does it feel phil to get a copyright complaint phil before it disappeared completely for 5+ years) but i do find it funny when he sounds a bit more northern, because personally i think he always sounds incredibly middle class, even back then. he just makes me feel slightly less like a troll from the depths of northern forests and council estates when he tones it down by about 5%

I am bad at psychoanalysing stuff so I will just say what I can see.

Phil's is the epitome of his weird brain. Monsters, aliens, mutant and powers. The stairs are probably there because it is easy to draw? Idk.

Dan's is more of a 'Idk what to draw but I really need to fill this page'. He is exactly me when I have no inspiration to sketch anything but sketch anyway but I have better handwriting, Dan, so I win.

I can't choose which one is better because they are both different person and there is no certain theme in whatever they are doodling.

also, I am patiently downloading the weakest link with my super slow internet and you guys are killing me with all the spoilers. Ughh.

Oh god the doctor who episode when tv game shows became murder games was terrifying I had totally forgotten about that, thanks for reminding me Normal Anne is terrifying enough let alone the robot version from that episode
