I always feel conflicted looking at creepshot photos. Even from the back Phil looks hot, wtf brain, this has gone on too long. Black tshirt, broad shoulders and his hair's in a cute shape, wcyd.

I think it would make sense that they'd change up the times they'd lie about flying. They say they've already flown, people don't turn up to wait for them at either end. Plus it gives Dan an excuse to rest and not do a live show. Both times I've flown transatlantic I've wanted to be left WELL alone the night before. Make sense for them to 'be in the air' because Dan gets some radio silence go rest before a very long flight.

I wonder why they recorded a message for that Grenville YT event when they could have been there live. I mean it's their choice how to get involved if at all, just curious as usual. Wish he would have done a ls. Must not have wanted to talk about his latest vid just yet, if ever. His reply to someone asking if he would do one on the plane was very misleading. Again, not a straight up lie.

Also, if I was that dad that saw deppy, I would have asked if I could take a pic for my daughter ( and I'd be in it of course, but that's just me). That dad shouldn't be taking creep shots. He's a grown ass man!

I am not a fan of creepshot photos but I can't help but look because I am a whore. Phil's hair looks freshly dyed, Dan can't stop wearing that sweater (does he know how HOT is is in LA right now?) and as always, Phil's posture makes my entire spine hurt.

Could be we had radio silence for a few days from them so they can prepare themselves for the crush of Vidcon. I don't think Dan is a big fan of the LS's so him not doing them for whatever odd reason doesn't shock me in the least.

I hope Dan doesn't have the same issues getting into the country, hope he learned his lesson and relaxes. LEARN TO LOVE THE PROBE, DAN.

In fairness, I never really perceived Dan's tweet as an indication that they were leaving immediately at that time. Especially given Phil's bath tweets. In true Dan and Phil form, he was intentionally vague and allowed us to make whatever assumptions we were going to make. (Mine being that they had already left, because historically they've tweeted after the fact, not before.)

All of that said, I find it pretty hilarious how Dan didn't have to commit to a single story or excuse in order to avoid a liveshow he very clearly did not want to do. His evasion tactics are truly one of a kind. I might go so far as to call it an art form.

I know the issue of creep shots has been discussed before (many times) but hope you don't mind my two pence worth on the subject. Imo we can only police our own actions to ensure that we abide by our own moral code. This dad probably thought he was being polite by not disturbing them, he may have reasoned that he would have preferred that if he were in their place. Also I believe it was the daughter that shared them not him? He was just doing something nice for his child by taking a few snaps of these grown men who make their living by selling their own likeness and likability.

As we know being a fan is by it's very nature invasive, this whole forum is dedicated to – respectful for the most part – chat and speculation about them, which I love by the way... I have never engaged in such classics as 'the zoom in on grainy pictures of the outside of their hotel room, which shows a vague impression of a bed', nah huh, not me (yes me) I'm innocent your honour; but as we all know other people can think we are a 'creepy bunch'. However I think these dad shots are very different from pictues taken by someone whose stalked them specifically to try and get a certain type of shot/proof.

Anyway, sorry to prattle on, I didn't really mean to go on about this specific set of pics, more the fact that youtubers in general are very casual about taking pictures of other non consenting members of the public in the course of vlogging etc, and think nothing of it, but they and often their fans don't like it the other way around. (I may be weird but I would hate to find myself around people who were vlogging). Do they even need for us to be over protective about being the subject of a candid picture? Personally I don't think so.

Also, let us not forget our boy Daniel is not averse to taking the odd candid celebrity shot himself, Psy in the lift anyone (failed admittedly)?

I am proper side-eyeing Dan for his tweet on Tuesday. I'm sure there are reasons behind why he didn't want to do a liveshow but it makes me kinda sad they didn't do the livestream for Grenfell Towers especially as they were in the country and would have helped raise so much more money. i hope they were doing something equally as good for them not to have gone.

Are they going to sing? I kind of want to die already.

For real though, the mini-hoopla about ~omg Dan lying about when/where they are~ wasn't very enjoyable. Creeperpics are always kind of icky, and some people jumping on them for it was even more icky. I figured it was something like 'the flight got cancelled/delayed', so close enough I guess haha

They are trainwrecks. Hope Dan got the passport situation taken care of, they probe with extra exuberance out here on the west coast.

It's pretty convenient that they had a story to tell, I wonder what they were originally going to do. They probably either decided this story was better than what they were going to originally do, or they were anyway going to plan something last minute.

See, my natural reaction was to believe it because they rarely get anything right unless other people are running the show. If anything I say good for them for planning to leave early for when things do inevitably go wrong. I guess you see what you look for though...

I'm not trying to do a "Dan lied" thing, but I don't see how an "early morning" flight from London could get to Los Angeles in early evening. A direct flight would take only 11 hours or so, and get you to LA by noon if you leave London in anything that counts as early morning.

Maybe they had to connect through another city though, which I guess is quite possible since they had to find something at the last minute....

Meh just rewatched, the impression starts around 1:14:40 of the vid Afunnyworld linked to. Every other 'impression' was basically just doing the person's catchphrase and moving it along to the next. They lingered on this one and took it there for no apparent reason, other than 'lol homoeroticism'. Didn't catch all the dialogue through the screaming though. Also I don't care that much to bother being overly offended by it, it's ultimately whatever, but hey that's never stopped me before.

Maybe he meant "early morning" in LA time since he was speaking to an US audience, so he converted the time so people would understand?

the "landing" time doesn't necessarily mean that's when they got off the plane (I once had to wait an hour and a half before we were let off the plane. good times ) The "two hour" statement could be a small exaggeration or, more likely, they could be thinking about how they arrived to vidcon two hours after leaving the airport. However it rolls, all they're trying to say is they were rushing to get here. (edit: in both their "taking quizzes" videos they're weirdly adamant about how they're not morning people... maybe it feels early to them? I'm low-key jealous if that's the case, I have to wake up at 5:30 every morning)

The thing that makes this extra funny is the fact that the IRL team arrived at the proper time yesterday...they all usually travel together, right? So Martyn and my love Corn Dog were probably sitting on the flight thinking wtf, where are those two tardy noodles?

I think Martyn and Cornelia got to California 3 or 4 days ago. They posted some Instagram photos tagged in Joshua Tree. Maybe them coming out earlier than Dan and Phil is partially what caused this whole mess. They can't do these things on their own.

Did anyone else notice Dan saying this was the only time they'd be telling this story? I wonder if that means he'll be posting the vidcon vid to his channel. It struck me as odd for him to say that bc he's usually all about not wanting people who can't go to live events to feel left out. So it would be weird to not tell the story at least in a ls. I guess he did tweet it and most of his subs follow him on twitter. Still not sure the timing of not being able to do the ls fits into the timing in their story. Just like to try and be a detective. And I am a bit salty about the last minute cancellation and about not getting a ls. I'm so sick of that Dan shirt btw. Its becoming the new weed shirt. Just banter no angst tho.
