And they're too private to go beyond 'saw friends, it was good', so it just felt like being small-talked at about boring stories I'd already half-heard and I just want to leave but there's no exit. You know, that feeling.

Lol, this liveshow really didn't do anything to warrant this much bitching from me, sorry, but it felt (to me) very Robo-Phil when I'd just been getting more used to Human-Phil. Like his food-chat program was short-circuiting in between plant chat. But hopefully someone turned him off and on again ahem before filming the gaming video and I can shut up about it

I watched about half of the live show last night. I had a headache after going to the cinema, my girlfriend was playing Fallout so I just kinda laid on her and watched it on my phone.

I liked it, Phil is a good person to watch when I have a headache because I find him quite soothing. I really hope he tells us his thoughts on the new Spider-Man. I saw it yesterday and LOVED it, and I want to know what he thinks.

Small Spider-Man spoiler I'm optimistic for their new gaming video. I'm optimistic about their content in general atm, even if I don't love the videos they are still making me happy.

[offtopic]It was my brother's birthday recently and I happened to be down in London before that so I visited Orcs Nest for the first time and bought him Tokaido at first I didn't want to be a complete copycat but it looked cute and the shop was amazing, so thanks for the rec and yes I suppose it was a present partially for myself but my brother enjoyed it so it all worked out in the end~

It's gonna happen! I have no reason for this opinion but I don't think they'll be in this flat for very long...6 months to a year maybe. It's time for them to get on the property ladder and get a corgi, plus they'll need even more space for Phil's bamboo!

I've not watched the liveshow yet but maybe the round room is a sort of sun room? I'd be envious af if that's the case, haha. I love sun rooms. just think of the plant potential

And I agree about Phil's shows seeming "safer" somehow; despite seeming more energetic/"bright" (personality wise, like chipper) as a person, he's far more relaxing to watch. More self-assured. Which I like. I don't have to worry about having an empathy embarrassment episode (the dreaded 3e) when I watch him, but with Dan that is... not a guarantee. Which makes him #relateable but also #plsno, sometimes.

Also when I watch Dan's liveshows, because he's more mercurial with what he'll respond to, it feels too disjointed for me. I mean I know on the face of it, the tangents at least make more sense than Phil's abrupt/funky segues, but. I dunno. I think the thought process behind it is too similar to my own, or something, so it's not as compelling. Plus I never bother with the chat thing, so it just seems like I'm missing half of a conversation. Like I'm watching people talk, instead of watching someone talk to people. It's not as fulfilling. idk I think I'm just on a Phil kick lately

I've been thinking about Dan's hair in one of his side channel videos. It was so weird to see how it his hair naturally looks and I also noticed how similar his hair is to mine. I totally understand why he hated his natural hair because I hate mine too. My hair is probably so damaged from being constantly straightened even if I'm just staying home. All of the comments on the video are like "HIS HAIR IS SO AMAZING OMFG" and I feel like I'm the only one who gets why he hated his hair.

Oh my god. I honestly fucking love Monopoly. (I have regular and Zelda, one time I was losing so badly I had to mortgage Epona... how the fuck do you mortgage a horse?!) I am so down for board game videos - I REALLY want them to play Articulate on camera, it'd have to be a collab but I'd love to see it.

YES me too! I just chopped all mine off for summer cause it was bugging me so much. I also feel like a fellow curly headed person should introduce dude to the wonders of a definition cream for the front bit, haha. Like shine/shape is possible, if he wants it. I still straighten mine sometimes though, I can't let go of the post-emo fringe situation. fight me tbh

It's interesting how much it's changed his face shape too. Like it hasn't actually ofc, but he looks closer to his age now I think. And I've noticed that with myself as well (though in the other direction, unfortunately).

This is cute, but Dan's piano nook where he films his ls is not being taken into account. It would be about level with the island you have and it overlooks the stairwell (we think). Honestly I wanted to reach through the screen most of the show to like push his face away, he’s too close to the camera now and I miss the old lounge/couch setting. Like he’s in my personal space, back the fuck up Phil. I really was not feeling it today; pleasant mindless smalltalk is usually great coming from him, but I mostly just found it all grating today.

So is he going to start hinting about conventions at some point too, or is that left to Dan because with Phil it would be too obvious trying to inconspicuously bring up convention prices/value in between a one man show all about analyzing mini oranges followed by 20mins of pancake chat. I find these so interesting to read! Has anyone else noticed that Dan brings Phil up unprompted so much more than Phil does with Dan? I never noticed it before reading these timestamps, Phil seems to talk more about random things and mention Dan a few times whereas Dan mentions Phil ALOT and talks about on topic things aswell. I wonder if this is to do with the length of their liveshows or just the way they are in general?

It also hit me hard last night that Dan mentions Phil more. We have this recent joke in phandom that if someone asks Dan a question about himself that he'll respond with how Phil feels about it or what Phil is doing (bless him) but I feel like Phil is just the opposite. He uses "I", "me" and "my" in certain situations where it really should be "we" and "our" and going back he has been doing it for awhile (though there are periods that are exceptions, like during/just after TATINOF. I love both of their ls styles for different reasons that most people have mentioned. The husband only likes watching Phil's liveshows, prefers Phil's individual videos "#philforever" (though he likes the gaming channel the most) and cannot handle younger Dan (we started watching The Super Amazing Project together lol. He said Phil is timeless.). I get a bit defensive, but I understand within the context of his personality. Though he hates pinof, so screw him.

The Anthony video is amazing. Oh my god. I was not ready for that. So many good gifs will come from this. Now excuse me while I watch it again.

That video sure was something.

I thought it was funny, but it did also heavily rely on the dinof persona which isn't always my fave. Still thought it was a nice vid and I enjoyed their chemistry.

Okay I have nothing to do at work, so I watched the Anthony video. It's was pretty funny, but I have Feelings about the Dan-stuff they included (and by feelings I mean frustration and klajsdfjasdf >:c) but I don't know how to articulate it all.

Some good things though!

I was surprised Phil didn't make a cameo? I was under the impression that it was a collab with the both of them, but then I went back and looked at the few teasers and tweets and there was no mention of Phil. I guess all the videos filmed at vidcon got mixed into a giant hodgepodge in my head.

the video was so funny, i laughed so much. they work well together!! i am really excited now to see dan's video too (and hopefully, maybe, one with phil as well?)

i gotta admit, it was a bit much yelling at times, and a bit much self-deprecating and maybe this was just me but it was a bit dan-is-a-failure heavy. and in that it got a bit repetitive with time.
but i really liked the idea of it, the concept of showing all those different areas, and then in the end the conclusion that they are actually the same people. and oh god, there were some funny jokes, like when dan didn't get the exercise part, or the hair styling.
the end got weirdly romantic, but dan don't blame yourself, it's not you who literally held the other's face in both of his hands as he told him he's beautiful. i choked, to be honest. (and then i laughed because that was also one of the best parts)

i am glad i have such profound thoughts and can express them so well, i've had a long day alright
