The game seems really fun!! I wish I could buy it, but because of uni I can't spend money on almost anything hahaha
My favourite parts are definitely Dan being the god of serotonin deficiency (honestly, same) and Phil using Dan as a weapon. Also, the picture of them as dads giving birth to the game It reminded me of Louise saying they'll be amazing dads. (excuse me while I go to the bottom of my trash can, thanks. :number1:)

If Dan really loved us, he'd set up a hidden camera and then record Phil playing when Phil doesn't think it's going up online so we get to see the real, uncensored Phil Lester humor.
Sadly I don’t think Dan will ever love us that much.
Wow their collab was way better than the How To Play video. It felt forced, was neither visually nor aurally pleasing (why was everyone so tan and shiny? drop that music guys) and who the heck were those people playing? (Hopefully Big Potato employees, otherwise, awkward...). Also queue the if you don’t have friends make your family or pets play joke we were all expecting. But I’m always trash for some Rock Paper Scissors.
Edit: Oh sorry I just realized Ablissa posted this as well.

I don't exactly know what expectations I had for the video, but god were they exceeded. I laughed so hard at "god of serotonin deficiency". The game itself actually looks like it could be a lot of fun. But as many people have said, I do not have 3 people to play it with so I'm passing. And they were just so giggly and happy the whole time, I loved it. I really hope they play it again sometime. (Dan teased so in a twitter reply, so I'm cautiously hopeful.)
I've never watched anything with Hazel before but she seemed kind of... fourth-wheel-y? I mean the whole video was kind of focused on Deppy, but I didn't really get that feeling from Tom. Kind of quiet? Like I said I've never seen a single video with her in it, so maybe that's just how she is. I haven't seen any similar sentiments so I think it was just me.
Also... I'm kind of legitimately cringing that apparently that polaroid is included with every game. Sorry guys. Since it doesn't feel as DanAndPhil™ as the other stuff they've done, I can just picture someone picking up the game simply because it looked good and being extremely confused lol.
(Also - agreed that I've always only interpreted the "phanniversary" as people celebrating the day they met irl... not legitimately treating it like a romantic anniversary between two people. Though I don't doubt that there's some fans out there acting as such.)

Loved the video, and boy did my WiFi connection make me wait for it, but anyway. Phil was utterly adorable, so enthusiastic, he was my favourite part of the whole video. I found it a shame they went with such predictable answers so many times, but the spoiled milk and its reason was different. There are good twists in the game itself, answering about yourself for the tie break after the rest were by the others. I have a few friends I could play it with, not sure I’d take it along at Christmas, though we do have fun with guess-the-song and stuff, that’s hilarious with different music eras with ages 8-80 at the table. I’m guessing that’s the Big Potato team helping them advertise it, good acting there, they all seem quite sweet and chummy.

Wait, people being glad dan and phil met is offensive now? I get that people celebrating it like a romantic thing are kinda weird, but I haven't seen anyone doing that. I'm not saying that they don't exist, but they are very few and far between. Calling them out if just preaching to the choir.

Since this is the year of truth can we stop pretending you both are just wholesomely following your dreams and stumbling into opportunities when you are really quite good at networking and making financial decisions and growing your empire? Be proud of your business smarts. I am.
I was going to make a comment that this game already exists in a million forms but then I couldn't find one quite the same. Good job boys and company that helped them refine their idea! The only thing I'm not sold on is the tie breaker mechanic, and I would probably want to play 2 rounds instead of one for more point variation.
The how to play video on the big potato channel was so cute. I wonder if they actually played the game with all those strangers or just acted it out?
I might gt this for xmas, not sure. We had a similar game called the game of things and we never played it and ended up donating it soooo...
Also, the comment in the beginning of the vid about the drunk video being another vid...tipsy talk with Dan?

Dan sweetie if Phil tastes like spoiled milk it's time to stock up on pineapple juice instead of Ribena.
But that was great I have no friends (or pets atm thanks for the suggestion lads i am still mourning my dead cat) nor do I particularly enjoy playing board games so I won't buy it but it was very funny to watch. Favorite answers were Dan as Phil's weapon of choice, God of Serotonin Deficiency and aforementioned spoiled milk.
Dan really looks like he just ran a marathon in that other video. Someone get some blotting paper and compact powder in here stat!

Based on this tweet of Dan's, it looks like that group of people might actually work for Big Potato? One of the names written on the score sheet was Zoe.
And that would make perfect sense as the group of people to test play it with.

What can I say that hasn't been? I definitely loved both the 'pregnancy' and 'truthbombs' videos, wasn't bothered by Louise or Hazel in the slightest (in fact I really liked Louise in this video!) I don't know about you but that gaming collab has real BONCAS winning potential
Also... am I the only one is wondering what all the logistic of the game are in terms of numbers? Like how many different question cards are there? How many answer sheets come with the game? What happens if you run out of the individual answer and score-keeping sheets?? Do you buy more individually??? I was investigating online but I couldn't find anything- has anyone else? I need answers, I'm such a numbers person it'll kill me not to know.

That game seems like it would be so much fun to play but as other people have already said, I don't know enough people to play it with (in English). Which is sad, since I'm sure it's great for people with dark humour like me  I like how they made something Phil always did as an icebreaker into a game, they've mentioned it several times before and it must be great to have your own game that was somehow in your head for a long time. Honestly, I really want to meet Phil in an awkward situation now and witness one of his icebreakers in action. It seems like fun and as a socially awkward person, I'd be so thankful to have someone do something like that.
I really hope they'll film some more videos playing this, preferably another one with Tom. PJ would be a great person to play it with as well since he is very creative.

I thought of that and thought you can just make your own, but I once wrote to a game company to ask for a missing booklet and they sent me it, it's possible Big Potato would do that too (I was 10, I don't know if that made a difference). They're probably too rarely needed to have loads for sale in shops.
I find it so cute they're stocked by Firebox, though the other BP games are so it's not a "Phil has bought a load of their stuff" thing. That said the game's not on the site or iWoot or WHSmith yet that I can see.

This kind of game also lends a lot of potential for them selling individual specialty packs of cards whenever they want, like Cards Against Humanity does. They could do a "Holiday Truth Bombs!" version or a "Youtuber Fans Truth Bombs!" version, etc and just sell the cards that match the theme - it would keep the game continually feeling fresh and also rake in some extra cash.

To everyone asking questions about the game, @feenix has asked me to post the following on her behalf as she cannot get on IDB right now:
It comes with one score pad but you can probably just keep score on any scrap of paper honestly. There are approx 70 cards I think? But they're double sided so it has 140 questions maybe.
Also behind the spoiler is a photo of the text on the back of the polaroid
edit to say:
i really liked the video, so much so i ordered a copy of the game straight away, gonna get that out at christmas and play with the fam.

that was honestly an amazing video!!! i was watching on my walk home from class and definitely got some looks as i was cracking up in the middle of the street even tho nyc has seen weirder things. hazel didn't bother me as much as i thought she would and wasn't that big of a presence so i don't mind it at all. already ordered my copy and i can't wait to get drunk with some friends and play it. i'm proud of phil for bringing yet another idea of his to life.

Also, I hate phan anniversary. It's people celebrating the relationship of other people, and they're not even involved, and they pretend it doesn't exist. I think I've said this every year. It feels weird, sorry. The only positive confirmation we've ever gotten has been Dan's recent liveshow comment about meeting Phil being a lot more wholesome than hello internet. That's something, at least.
I would normally agree with you about this, because I find them not saying anything about it so funny when twitter is going crazy for #phanniversary or whatever the hashtag was. However, a friend of mine who I met through liking D&P put some lovely tweets online today saying how because of Deppy meeting there had been a bond of friendship of a group of people that met because of the site that shall not be named. It then got me thinking that if it wasn't for Deppy meeting 8 years ago then we wouldn't have IDB and the great people that post on here, so yes it is sooooo cringey when people are gushing about it but sometimes, there is a good reason for it (IDB is one of those good reasons imo)

I wonder if they hate it, or are indifferent? I know nobody wants the whole but what if they aren't together hypothetical discussion, but at the very least, they'd probably feel weird any which way about it. It feels like people prodding them with sticks, creating hashtags on twitter to celebrate, and tagging them in explicit fanart of their 2009 self's going at it with each other.
At least I haven't seen a cake with the number 8 stuck on.
I still haven't caught up with everything DnP related I've missed in the past few weeks, but I just want to say that I wholeheartedly agree with this. can't imagine anyone not being annoyed or at least weirded out by something like that, regardless of the circumstances. it's obvious that the phandom constantly goes over the line and treats them like two monkeys at the zoo. I kind of feel sorry for the guys because the phandom claimed so many of their personal things. the internet used to be a "safer space" for them, and now it's invaded and turned into hundreds of thousands of (often dumb) fanfiction tropes. Dan used to view that as "stalking".
I wonder how he feels about that now. Phil probably isn't too happy with that since he keeps copyright striking the voldy reuploads. but idk, they probably learned to ignore it. have we ever been "invited" to "celebrate" anything, anyway? lol
anyways, I'm gonna go watch the Truth Bombs video now before watching anything else since it seems like the most interesting thing they did this week
At about 1:30 they acknowledge that it is their friendaversary. That seems pretty positive to me.

Happy Phanniversary And yeah, I agree with dizzy on that the Phandom is celebrating today because the Phandom exists because of today, eight years ago. I don't think anyone's unironically treating it like an anniversary, although I agree that quite a few people are treating it in a shippy way. Still, I think it's harmless as long as you're only doing whatever we normally do as a fandom; basically, don't be creepy about it and don't talk about stuff that's not public.
I might get Truth Bombs, idk. The main issue is that I actually don't have any close friends who I'd play this with, and neither do I have IRL friends. Could force my family to play, I suppose. Seems kind of fun, but I'm mainly just looking forward to Deppy playing this with others rather than playing it myself.

Thanks for making me choke on my coffee laughing. Oh my god. I guess I have a more innocent mind than I thought. Lmfao.
Everyone else has already pretty much said all there is to be said about the video. Loved it As already said, Hazel was tolerable and didn't make me want to rip my ears off (can't stand her voice at all oh my god). Although I do agree with tigertatze, they could have played another round once everyone had a good grasp on the game. Oh well.
Also, happy phaniversary (or friendaversary) to those that are choosing to celebrate it
Some emo feels I put under the cut to spare everyone:
I for one am very thankful they met 8 years ago - they've done a lot for me through their content. Falling down that rabbit hole into the phandom after being a casual viewer for quite some time was one of the best things that ever happened to me, cheesy as it is! They have definitely helped me through some dark times and reawakened my creative side (hoo boy I thought that shit was long, long gone man). They also helped me (somewhat) overcome my fear of interacting with people online! I lurked here for ages before I had the nerve to post anything lmao. But I'm very glad I did. I seriously love this community.
For me it's quite a happy day. They've got such a powerful bond (be it platonic or romantic or whichever way you want to spin it) that they've brought millions of people together and accomplished so much together. All because they hopped a train to meet one another 8 years ago today. Pretty crazy for me to think about... Honestly I'm so inspired by them. Just makes me feel very sappy and appreciative and full of love for them today.

That was a really fun video, and it looks like a great game!
It's nice to see them putting out something that they seem to be genuinely passionate about in their real lives, and also working with a small independent local company to do it
(side note: I'm a little surprised that they didn't differentiate the color correlations in another way, given how common color blindness is. If I were to play it, I think one of my friends would have difficulties given the format. I suppose you could lay out the coloured cards for each question in the same order as they appear on the answer sheet as a work around).
I'm not sure how re-playable it is as a game in general (unless you have a lot of friends!). But I'd definitely be interested in watching them do another collab with it on the gaming channel. You'd need to know the people you're playing with fairly well for it to make sense, so that perhaps narrows down their options....but whoever they play with next, I hope the guest shuffles the question cards

that was such a good video, good in a sense that it was lighthearted and somehow not even tense or anything like that, despite the fact that sometimes DnP's collabs can be quite awkward. and despite the fact that I thought Tom and Hazel wouldn't mesh together well. glad I was wrong. I really love the concept of the game and tbh I'm just proud of them both for coming up with such a creative idea and that they managed to make it all a reality Phil was so enthusiastic in the video, even Dan seemed like he was enjoying it, and it was adorable :') I like that you can tell that they actually love their creation and I'm happy that they're going to play it again for a video (can it please be with PJ I need my Phil x PJ collab either way). in general though they all seemed relaxed and everyone was funny and somehow had a good chemistry. wish I could buy the game, but I feel like I wouldn't have anyone to play it with or just not enough people (the game being in English and all that). which sucks, because it genuinely seems like a fun game to play.
At about 1:30 they acknowledge that it is their friendaversary. That seems pretty positive to me.
yeah, I know about that, and my post wasn't about people talking/being happy about the fact that Dan and Phil met on this day and became best friends. that's completely harmless and is actually a very nice thing. I'm all for more appreciation of their friendship. what I think is weird and invasive is when people turn it into a shippy/romantic/sexual thing. I don't think it's cool to make posts about how "I bet they're going to have sex tonight because today's their anniversary!!1 imagine them doing this and that" and tag them in such posts/sexual or romantic phanart (quite a few people on instagram, youtube and twitter do it constantly). I find it hard to believe that anyone would appreciate such things.

That video was great! I thought I'd be disappointed by both videos this week but they both exceeded my expectations.
Truth Bombs looks pretty fun, though i'm still not sure what the rules are.
On phan anniversary: I agree with dizzy that most people probably don't celebrate it in a romantic sense, more of a "hey this thing that we love started today" sense.
