Re: Dan & Phil Part 40: We like the cock

Since the whole rambling is predecess by not wanting to be alone, I take this as a non specific phrase. I don't know how to explain this as I am neither articulate nor English is my first language. But what I am trying to say is the subject of that quote is not 'that person' but his own feeling of wanting a companion, so it is not relevant to say he is afraid of 'that person's' death when that person doesn't exist yet in his narrative(?).canireally wrote:Hi everyone, just de-lurking here
Do you think by "fear of the person not being there" he meant death or just the person not being with him?

Regarding the debate on Deppy being private/their fans ruining everything and running it into the ground, this YouTuber Stef talks about that at 1:40 and I thought of the Deppy situation so it's not just them. She even says she wouldn't want to share a relationship or play video games which I think Dan in particular would relate to. She's very eloquent with topics like this so I'm glad she just made this video while we're talking about it! It was interesting.
I think he meant the person not being there. But I also am fascinated by everything he said during that little moment and how he chose to word it. (I'm gonna cheat and paste in a slightly edited version of what I already posted on tumblr.)canireally wrote:Hi everyone, just de-lurking here

yes yes thanks a lot i get what you're saying!swofro wrote:
And I take the phrase 'fear of the person not being there' as fear of not finding anyone at all to love and be loved in return.
pls tell me somebody get what I wanted to say lol i hate myself
thank you for your response!alittledizzy wrote:
I’m surprised he even gave that much of an honest response. That kind of topic has to be terrifying to talk live about if you're someone who tries as hard as he/they do to keep their private life private from fans.

I live for how extra the phandom is sometimes.
Maybe my mind subconsciously take it from there, who knows but I actually use the phrase a lot in real life. Have no idea where I pick it up from tbhcanireally wrote:yes yes thanks a lot i get what you're saying!swofro wrote:

it is funny though you used the words "to love and to be loved in return", there's a dailybooth post of him quoting those words from the song Nature Boy, adding it's all that matters
Just when kickthefire is on the rise, Phil reminds everyone that Dan belongs to him.realeyesrealize wrote:
Now to figure out which restaurant in London uses that mug... Didn't Dan speak about the dinner during the liveshow? Something about the way a dish was served. I'm off to go do research about that instead of studying for an exam I have tomorrow.

[offtopic]I just have to make this unnecessary comment to proclaim that Stef is lovely and I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone mentioned her video in this threadlilMango wrote:(I love Stef so much!! But yeah, she makes a good pint about fans' entitlement to relationships, and I find it interesting that she talked about not only romantic relationships but friendships as well.
The most people who could be seated here would be 5 .SexyTrashCan wrote:Holy crap good job

Hm can't tell if correct but the table seems to be circular and inside because the tables outside have gaps in them
These seem to be the tables they sat at. Not large enough for a large number of people may I add

Same! Most of the drinks on their menu list that they are also served in a carafe- maybe the skull mug was the carafe???SexyTrashCan wrote:Honestly can't find any matches for Phil's drink, not least served in a skull mug :wtf:.
The closest match I could find is the "Coconut ceviche" because it seems to be served in a variety of glasses and is served with passion fruit and yeah that is a very very long shot
The fact that the restaurant you found just so happens to be one floor below the Duck and Waffle though seems like an odd coincidence though in my opinion./fɪl lɛstɚ/ wrote:Same! Or perhaps its the wrong place. I don't know how many other sushi resturaunts in London serve a dessert that looks like a zen garden but
[offtopic]I'm so happy that there's other people who watch her!! She's one of my favorite youtubers and I did find her answer interesting when thinking of deppy. It puts into perspective how some things that don't seem personal to the viewer are very personal to the creator and vice versa[/offtopic]nephilimcat wrote:[offtopic]I just have to make this unnecessary comment to proclaim that Stef is lovely and I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone mentioned her video in this threadlilMango wrote:(I love Stef so much!! I find it quite interesting that Stef wouldn't record herself playing video games, but she did document her facial feminisation surgery recovery. One would think that it would be the other way round. But it does make sense, as she wants to have something for herself that she enjoys, which it wouldn't be anymore if she shared it with her audience.
I think Dan and Phil must have very similar reasons. Playing games that they truly care about would kinda ruin the game for them. As Stef said, not because fans want to ruin it, but because it becomes work and they have to make an effort to react in an entertaining way, be good enough at the game to not make it boring, etc. And then they have to read the comments of people who react to their gameplay. I do think that would reduce the amount of fun.[/offtopic]
Pretty sure Phil has mentioned Kyle in videos about his childhood before, like The Breakuplurker wrote:not super important, but something about the kyle/leon thing (wow that sounds like fanfic doesn't it) and dan potentially revealing his real name -- i've been thinking about this all day (not literally) and i feel like phil recently mentioned someone named kyle? i could be imagining things but i seem to have a memory of him saying that name, so when dan got it mixed up in the liveshow, i thought he just confused him with a guy from a different phil story. does anyone know what i'm on about or is my brain already producing fake deppy memories?
