Calling it now: the thing that's keeping Phil awake is the baby that he and his wife Janice just had. Baby Susan is crying all night and Phil can't sleep. In the video we will see Dan banned to live in the broom closet while Baby Susan sleeps in the moon room.

Hm im loving all these theories im sure this has been brought up but august™ seems very suspicious to me.

But what if Dan and Phil do go to Sitc? As like surprise guests? Like they show up on the main stage like 'haha fooled u!'

(not that I actually believe that would happen cause scheduling issues but it would be the hardest we've all been trolled in a long time)

that's the most logical thing, for sure.

(thanks Katka for your post about privacy and how speculation is fun but it should be kept in mind that it only comes together in pieces, and we should respect statements that are made for whatever valid reasons! reminders of that are helpful to me, and I am sure to others too.)

I really really hope there actually is something exciting they'll share in August, whatever it may be. It's all been so vague, but I am getting pretty hyped by now, so I think if it just passed without any mention at all I'd be a bit disappointed.

Sleepless Night with Phil would be amazing, I love that series.

[offtopic]last weekend I forced my gf to watch some of the Crash Bandicoot video with me and I then sneakily linked her to the sims series and now she's on episode 8 or 9 and absolutely in love and I feel very, very proud. getting people to like the things I fangirl about is my favorite hobby and soon I can start fangirling about deppy to her face and she won't even be annoyed anymore, i love life[/offtopic]

I was thinking about this yesterday, I imagine a lot of people would be upset if they didn't get tickets because D&P weren't going to be there. I men that could be a statement itself, but it probably wouldn't sit will with fans.

Not exactly on topic, but an ask on queerofcups's tumblr made me realize that Phil probably shouldn't get LASIK, for two reasons: large pupil length is associated with worse side effects, AND his prescription just changed, and you shouldn't get it with refractive instability (which makes sense as you can only get LASIK once really, so if your vision declines after, you'll then still need glasses).

Also, it made me think maybe he was considering LASIK, which is why they apparently did some new tests on him, including pupil length, which then excluded him. But I'm not an optometrist and who knows, just pure speculation, but according to the FDA he shouldn't get it.

I'd have to admit I'd be a bit annoyed if they showed up at SITC next weekend - I made the decision not to get tickets for myself and my girls because they'd said they weren't able to make it. My girls are very keen to meet them (and I wouldn't mind seeing them in the flesh either ) and it was the first possible and realistic opportunity since we became fans.

After watching Phil's last live show again, I'm a bit torn on Phil's tweet from last night now. Because in the live show, he does mention how he couldn't sleep the other night. So Phil saying it "may be another sleepless night with phil" could possibly be referring to the other night. I really really hope I'm wrong, though.

I'm pretty sure they won't do a surprise appearance at SITC. The security staff had trouble with some of the phandom's behaviour in 2015, though it's absolutely fine otherwise, because people didn't listen when they were asked not to queue for the panel two hours early, and then there was running and pushing. They cut the queue early cos kids were getting hurt and it was only the panellists asking the security staff to relent that let the rest of us in. It took them 20 minutes, so the panel overran, because they had the extra people go past the security staff one by one to avoid a scrum and still people were running, even though the staff knew the number of seats in the room (about 1000, I counted how many were in a row) and were counting everyone in. When the guys collected their award onstage later on it was probably better because that area's a huge open space, which you'd think might also get squashy, but I haven't heard anything.

The video was okay but didn't really evoke any strong emotions in me one way or another. It was interesting to see the gaming channel set-up.

I don't really care about the impending bedroom discourse, I'm just going to peace out while everyone's hopes and dreams are destroyed. However, one thing that does kind of bother me about this video is just how fake it is? Phil knows how weird it is to suddenly fucking wait until the end of the video to plug merch? Does he not even get how unnatural that is? I don't mind that he's creating an "illusion" of the video being filmed over several hours (and yet eats sweets during this time and film barely anything). Why pretend to "try to sleep" several times and then wake up at 4.30 to plug merch? Phil, seriously? At least give the impression that time is passing, everything seems to have been filmed over two hours at best, I don't even care about the "bed" situation, but when he begins to brand sleepless night with Phil videos as this repetitive series, they sort of lose their touch. I did find it funny though, but these little things did ruin my immersion.

It was a cute video, I enjoyed it.

He did not show us a lot of places we haven’t seen before, but I can’t say I’m surprised.

Phil’s face when eating the warhead was great. Though I’m not sure that eating things with lots of suger in them is handy when you are trying to fall asleep.

I don’t even know what to think about the whole nose yoga part.

And of course he did some merch promo.

I'm not gonna spend time and energy discussing the bed parts; it was what we all expected I think.

- the bit where he makes the kool aid seems to be in the kitchen. I am now thinking it's a kitchen area, very open living like, maybe with a kitchen island. left of where he was standing is in my imagination the table/bar thingy where phil is doing most of his liveshows lately. the darker gray wall behind him on the left is what i imagine would curve into the curvy wall we know as from behind his liveshows now; as is the house plant we see there.
- those weird stairs we already saw are definitely downstairs where his own room is, but that's not really new i suppose.
- i'd say dan's room makes most sense being above phil's room, as in that way he could have been as loud as he was, but let's be honest, he didn't care about that much during his last videos either

Dream Daddy is going to happen, that was literally all that i can remember from the video. I mean, i really like Phil and thede videos, but I'm in the middle of moving houses and I just got excited about some daddies haha it was a nice video, probs gonna rewatch at some point.

I enjoy watching these Sleepless Nights videos and Phil is extra cute in his pyjamas and specs! Some nice extra glimpses of the duplex including seeing the bathroom for the first time (v swanky shower) but sadly no proper look at the kitchen as yet. I don't understand his room - does he not have any windows? The thought makes me feel a bit claustrophobic as I really couldn't sleep in such a room.
