So didn't go with them? Or maybe there aren't any pictures of them? It seems weird that they wouldn't do something if the rest of the crew went. That would pretty anti-social of them.
I have no idea if they were there, but they weren't in either of those pictures I haven't looked at the merch girls social media recently so idk about those.. But yeah they could've been filming or something?
They have tonight off, so anyone else vaguely hoping for a ls? I need to stop getting my hopes up when I know it isn't gonna happen :sideeye:

I'm a bit surprised by how harshly vloggers that bring in their kids get judged. Out of all the things parents can decide for their kids, bringing them in front of the camera seems like a relatively harmless one. There's some extreme exceptions I guess, but I haven't really seen anything on youtube where parents use their kids for views and that I would legally consider child exploitation.
Honestly, if lines are being crossed imo it's in the music industry, or with beauty pageants ..or right on the disney channel.

We should REALLY send someone to get that freaking SD card from Louise.

Bee or Spider would be a good idea if they agree with it (not together tho, I wouldn't trust Bee with Spider)

There is also a possibility of sending Louise a bluebox but I have no idea how to get her back then.

Also a possibility of throwing a Mango through her window, does anyone know where she lives? (Sorry Mango, you might get eaten or hurt in process)
I need content, what is this.
But who the fuck am I kidding? I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live

[offtopic]Children and yt:
Here's an article that I found some time ago:
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/ ... e-and-baby
In general it can not become a problem but let's not kid ourselves, the potential to be harmeful for the kids is here and especially some bloggers are exploting their children with the excuse of doing for their future or the memories.I agree with having memories but why make a job out of it?
[/offtopic]
If ever adopted a kid to vlog it's life I would lose all my respect for them but luckily they seem to be adverse to it.

I think family vloggers are just a bad as people who exploit kids in the music/entertainment industry. I'm not talking about people who occasionally bring their kid out in front of the camera like Louise, but people like the SacconeJolys whose entire channel is based off of selling this image of ''a perfect family''. I don't think it's very healthy for a child to be internet famous before they can even form sentences, but that's just me.

Edited note: corn flakes beat me to ripping on the SacconeJolys they really rub me the wrong way

I agree, I don't think putting your kid online is a big deal unless you're forcing your kid to do things that will hopefully generate views. A vlog that features a kid being themselves I don't see a problem with. Beauty Pageants are definitely much worse and pretty different from being on youtube. The only problem I could see arising from Youtube is that a YT kid would decide in their teen years they don't want to be online or in the spotlight. In which case they can just stop appearing on YT.

I see where people are coming from tho saying that it's not okay that the kid didn't have a say in if they became famous. So I'm kind of torn, but I mostly think it's not much different from posting pics of your kid on your personal facebook page.

Just to bring back #hotelbedgate, I thought someone already said that the bathroom interior is different for the two joining rooms vs the one room with the king size bed? The bathroom shown in Dan's video matched the one for 2 joining rooms while the bathroom for the room with the king size bed is different. I haven't actually looked myself though Maybe someone can post comparison pics here since they're obviously not in the same state anymore.

As for liveshows, I don't think they have a joint contract with younow because when they were on the UK tour, they did a joint liveshow each on their own account (which would've met the 1 show/month quota if that's indeed their individual contracts). So hopefully we can expect a joint liveshow on Phil's younow soon (like today) so it can prove our theory right.

EDIT They're standing awfully close

Hey guys, if you want to discuss daily family vloggers in detail, please consider making a thread for it in the "Other YouTubers" section, to avoid going too off-topic here in the main Dan & Phil thread!

[offtopic]The massive difference being: children working in the entertainment industry (at least in the UK) ARE subject to legislation that is there to protect them.
And it's a subject I have plenty of experience with and could write pages on - but I'm not going to, even if we are content starved...! - cos at the end of the day, this all stemmed from "aww, wouldn't Daddies Phan be super-cute! ;) [/offtopic]

I'm hoping for a LS. HOPING. Phil, it's been 58 DAYS! (And the YN website has changed!)

Looking at the merch girls' twitter the whirlyball expedition was in fact yesterday, so no idea what they're up to today - fingers crossed for a liveshow here too!
Also still looks like D&P didn't join, or as we were speculating they're intentionally avoiding photos with the crew. Either way it's a bit weird

Also, they're apparently in Chicago today then, not Minneapolis, I figured that tweet/snap was old :?
Tinfoil hats on that they posted this just as we were discussing it?

Are they even all in the same state? Crew is in Milwaukee right now, but isn't that the metal (bean?) thing from Chicago:
So D&P went back to Chicago alone for their days off..?

edit: loool I have Evan's younow on in the background right now and he just counted the Dan & Phils in the picture from Dan's tweet

jfc, do these boys know what personal space is? :platonic:
Also idk why, but I get motion sickness from looking at that Dan's pic he just posted.
Edit: is dan holding little camera? DITL on tour? Am I getting to enthusiastic about it? Or is it just a weird red phone case?

That's what I'm guessing yeah, maybe they didn't have time to check it out much when they were there before? I think the crew are all in Minneapolis, Minnesota, so like a 6 hour drive from Chicago so it must be more than a day trip? So confused right now by all this..

I don't think they ever left Chicago. They had the tour there for two days, and then Milwaukee is only an hour or so way I think. I bet they just stayed in their Chicago hotel that night, and for the past two? nights they've had off. That way they get a good chunk of time in one place.

I do hope they do a live show tonight.
