I read all the posts about this last night but was too tired to reply so I thought I would now. xD

I don't think a fan who wanted to play a prank would have gone through all the effort it probably took to impersonate Dan and upload it. I definitely think that this is someone who wanted to profit off of the fans. But Dan did say in one of his replies that people should be getting their money back soon, didn't he? Hopefully it'll all be fixed shortly.

I was looking at comments on Dan's RYC on Youtube last night and most of the people there still seem to think it's real and were still buying it and/or confused that they coudln't find it anymore. :/

I agree it was probably someone driven by the profit motive. I have the sneaking suspicion whoever it was that uploaded the track to itunes was probably watching Dan's liveshow, heard him say that he knew lots of people would want to download it so he had been thinking about putting it on itunes but had decided not to, and thought: I know how to make a quick buck .

Didn't previously make the connection between this comment and how it implies the diss track was all real. Proud of our Spaniel for being brave and facing his fears.
