Really enjoyed the sims video. I loved Phil being all mischievous and wanting to cause drama and egging Dan on. It was nice that they did something Phil wanted to do for a change. I watched Dans laughing at the bed catching fire about 5 times because it genuinely made me laugh too! Good video!

I think that was my favorite sims video I was laughing the whole time they were at eliza's house. I get bored so easily in their sims videos, I LOVE when they go around and just f shit up In one of phil's old videos he says he would throw parties in the sims and then delete all the doors so people would end up all dying, it seems he's still the same destructive force.

I'm so glad they actually transformed the bed, dan always puts a stop to any of the weird things phil wants to do in the sims Im so glad he didn't do that this time. The bed setting on fire is just ace.

i'm too tired to say much more than that i loved the video, but the channel descriptions actually got me thinking how much of the "notonfire" is going to stick if dan really rebrands to dan howell. is he just going to change his channel name? what about the twitter and tumblr accounts, the tumblr theme, danisnotinteresting, the yt headers, and, well, the channel descriptions in the gaming videos? changing everything sounds like a massive junction tbh. it's all just speculation of course but now i'm really curious to see what happens.

I imagine he'll go the same route Louise did in terms of the naming part of branding, if not the content itself. She didn't 100% ditch "sprinkle of glitter" but she just started incorporating Louise Pentland into more and more stuff, so that she kind of has the option of going either route and it won't seem strange or out of the ordinary, but it also doesn't invalidate all the merch/product lines she has that use Sprinkle of Glitter.

Phil often befriended other YouTubers and subscribers that he clicked with, and Duncan was one of those people. I guess he was looking for people to speak English with and stuff. All of Phil's friends automatically became Dan's when they started being inseparable and they remained in contact over the years (I remember Phil congratulating D&M on their marriage on Twitter which is how I first found them and they feature in Phil's Toilet Tag video). Duncan met Mimei in the comment section of an AmazingPhil video sometime after Phil met Dan. Mimei is a little bit of a phangirl tbh, people found phanart in her Tumblr likes when they were public during Japhan. In her defense, I don't think she thought she would ever actually meet them or anything like that

Dan and Duncan are indeed quite similar in video style and humor. Also in looks, which is funny considering their age difference. Before Japhan when Mimei and Duncan became largely known in the phandom, Duncan used to get a lot of 'lol it's an asian danisnotonfire!' comments actually.

Wow! Thanks for the info; I had no idea they went so far back (dat semi-colon use tho *sexy vlog music plays*) and until your comment about Dan and Duncan's 'age difference' I didn't even realise he was already 32, holy moly. That's so nice, though, that they were all finally able to meet up after knowing each other for years. Japhan 2.0 and the Harajuku Squad reunion absolutely must happen. The best time for cherry blossoms is around the end of March/beginning of April so there's potential for a longer, more cultural holiday there with ohanami and picnics under the sakura trees before nipping off to Australia

I remember seeing Duncan in an old Phil video where he had like...clips of other people in it(I think he had a Batman mask on????) but I don't know what video it was.

I loved the new sims video and it had me laughing stupidly hard. Need to rewatch it again while I'm not multi-tasking so I can pay even closer attention. LOL

Re: Sims vid - the "gameplay" was a bit boring as usual, but I like that they finally tried to push Sims beyond realistic respectable life simulator and have a tiny bit of fun. Their (over)reactions were hilarious though, innuendos strong as ever. Consistency of uploads is still pleasantly shocking and really ruining my sleep schedule. I'm pretty sure "troll teh forums" is an actual option on Sims 4 (unless that was Sims 3 I'm thinking of?), so I think Phil was just referring to that.
