(As a sidenote, the menu of these places they go always makes me incredibly jealous & sad that I live in a tiny town where anything not a hamburger is considered ~exotic~. )

Quick backtrack to "Get a Dog" since no one said it: I believe the reason so many fans push for it constantly is because if they adopted a dog together, that would be a sign of a long-term commitment of staying together for D&P, same as buying a house together would be.

I'm inclined to think the drink is from a different occasion than the sushi meal. Based off the restaurant website and yelp etc they don't seem to serve drinks in mugs. In general it is a bit unusual to serve a mixed drink in a mug. idk

Dan said something about his mum never buying him the bubble bath because it was expensive. Kind of random, but I thought it was worth commenting on.

Well, that was not how I expected them to make things up to the Pancakes, but the end result was adorable. Maybe Evan and Dab can be bffs eventually and bond over their weird parents.

The whole little digression about the bubble bath was too damn cute, although I'm glad they actually showed us wth Matey is because I don't think that's a thing here.

I also cracked up at their reactions to Tabitha coming home from work filthy and contaminating the shower. They're so bad at keeping their poor sims fed and bathed, I'm surprised they aren't filthy more often.

I LOVED the new video. Honestly the sims series has made me laugh from day 1 (the freaking owl slide) but like... this and the last episode have cracked me up start to finish. Whenever Dab was just standing on the corner and then Tabitha changed into the fairy outfit

I thought Dan looked glorious in this video. Normally my eye gravitates toward Phil but in this video I was peeping on Dan the entire time. The hair + the tight shirt + the overall good mood = nice looking Dan.

10/10 will probably rewatch this video when I eat lunch tomorrow.

I don't play the Sims and even I knew you could play as other people... SRSLY DANYUL
But also, wasn't there suspicion that they manipulated Tabitha's actions in the past, behind the scenes, before she and Dil became an item? I swear I remember reading about it several tens of threads ago. Is not knowing they can play as other characters just a cover-up? Are they simply pretending to be terrible at the Sims? *X files music plays*

But whatever, I enjoyed the video What an unexpected turn of events, with adorable reactions from over the domesticity of it all. Plus I like it when stuff actually happens in the Sims. Sorry, it's just not my kind of game. They make it enjoyable with episodes like this, though.

The bit where they reminisce about Matey stood out for me, Phil making Dan laugh seemed really genuine

Cute and funny video! Loved Phil's joke about playing with your tentacle and the fact that he didn't hold back despite having to wait for Dan to stop talking, because sometimes he does that, he wants to say something and ends up not saying anything.

That Sims video was so strange. I can't entirely put my finger on why. Maybe it was a combination of them not totally having a game plan/veering from the game plan, the game itself not following the narrative they (somewhat impulsively decided on), and also a not so smooth editing job where it was very clear when big segments were cut out? It wasn't bad, exactly, and they were still entertaining to watch - not like they were bored or phoning it in. But at the same time, still just a bit different from what I'm used to with them in this series.

Yeah same! I'm fascinated by this recent tendency of his to make comments like that imply his family not having that much money when he was growing up. It seems like he's doing it all the time lately, starting with that liveshow in October where he discussed not being able to afford merch when he was a teenager. The comments themselves are interesting, but I also find it intriguing that there seems to have been a noticeable shift in his attitude/approach to the subject? I feel like back in circa 2013 he used to make allusions to family's financial situation, then he stopped for three years, and now he's suddenly started talking about it again. Idk.

People are saying that they seemed so uncomfortable with each other in the Sims video...did we watch different videos? All I could focus on was the freaking bubble bath and the tentacle friend and Dab and Evan becoming friends like I saw no negativity there whatsoever.
I agree that it was a bit weird because they were playing as the Pancakes and jumping around and speeding through days but I didn't see any weirdness between deppy.

But people are literally having anxiety attacks over them not uploading main channel videos. SMH what the heck is going on right now??

This video was funny, but man was it heavily edited down for time. I bet they played for like two hours to get that 25 minutes of footage. Things take much longer than they appeared to. Also they left out the part where they bought evan a bed (it wouldn't just appear). It would also take twenty years to get everyone to come over for a party like that, we only saw a fraction of the frustrations lol.

I was also wondering about where the image for the thumbnail of preggy eliza came from and found this. Did he just use the pic and skew it since they didn't get to see her pregnant?



*edit: also based on the toddler facial structure there is a good chance evan could end up looking like this, which will make the fanartist shippers frustrated lol. Nearly every pancakes child gets the same chin lol.

I think that image was stretched, seeing as that's the outfit Eliza was wearing right after she took the pregnancy test and that's the only time we saw a baby bump. Oops.

Also is anyone else mildly annoyed by the fact that they keep pretending like Dan still has no idea how to play the game? I got it at first. Phil had played but Dan hadn't. But it's been years since they started. Dan should have somewhat of an understanding of how the game works by now.

I'm with you! What the heck? Were they watching the same video? I thought it was delightfully domestic -- creating babies, setting Evan and Dab up as friends for play dates -- it doesn't get much more domestic than that.

Phans freak out about "it's gonna be 2012 all over again!!1" every other day I don't understand where it's coming from, if not just projection and the fear of too much of a good thing. As in, things are going so well it has to get bad at some point, it all has to come crashing down somehow. That's how it goes in movies, rising action to the climax to the fall. Good thing this is real life tho, where Dan and Phil are just two happy successful dudes being happy successful dudes.

The unbearably adorable Matey reminiscing made this video. It was an average Sims until then, I agree with Phil that it felt weird to play as the Pancakes and be in their house and in their lives.

I watched the Matey part with this dumb grin on my face that just got bigger and bigger as they waffled on. I found it really interesting that they left in the really long pause after Phil says they'd talked about it before. It felt like a sweet moment when Phil looks at him so endearingly that they didn't have to show, they could've easily cut right to the next thing Dan says but leaving it in made for a great little private moment they shared. And of course I made of gif of it to coo at on a loop. The whole exchange felt really genuine, and I was happy they decided to share it with us.

I hate that SO much. I understand if you wanna post stuff about phan on tumblr. I ship phan as much as the next guy. But I just cannot understand how you could possibly have the gall to flipping tag Dan and Phil in that shit!! We know for a fact they look at the tags smh

I feel like the phandom is so divided when it comes to shielding things from deppy... Some of us are so terrified to even seem like we are at all hoping for a romantic relationship in the main tags and we refuse to mention certain things to them and then other people are making posts like:

That exchange was definitely my favorite part of the whole video. It did very much feel like a moment between them, not a moment for us.
