The InDepthSpons banner is amazing.

Loved the crafts video, it was so good. Also did not see that ending coming which made me love it even more. The whole vid really made me .
Like always in these crafts vids I think Phil was amazing, he just shines in these vids imo.

that's kind of a stretch, that statement is more so just referencing how in horror films "mother" is thrown around a lot and is kind of a trope, I wouldn't try and pick anything about Dan's relationship with his family out of this.

Also, I just noticed the description of the Crafts video, and apparently this will be their last one? I know it's a strong end to the "trilogy" but I'm kind of disappointed...I kind of want them to do more weird humour like this, that's really wacky.

Anybody else notice when:
"Him" walks in, the camera shakes as if there is actual person in the room? Either deppy went to great detail in the editing or that shock! they actually have a friend!!

I thought that Dan was kicking his feet under the table for that? But a friend also works

Also I was apparently unsubscribed from DanandPhilCRAFTS by Youtube, rude

Well that got weird AF towards the end haha, I bloody loved it. Would work well if they left it at this set of 3 and did something different going forward for April Fool's, as it's kind of 'expected' now so a little bit less effective imo.

Love this weird ass type of comedy though, and kind of wish Phil used this sense of humour in his own videos too as he's really good at it. I assumed there was someone else in the flat with the 'footsteps' but as bee said I guess it could've been one of them kicking their feet

and thanks missemma! I've been trying to get back into things here but life is just too much haha, I'm still watching their vids just not got the time for the hours of bants on the side

I got such an oldschool Amazingphil vibe from that video and I loved it. It reminded me of the weird creepy stuff like "the basket" and "tape 6". It's a shame that that Phil comes out to play so rarely these days. Great wrap up to Danandphilcrafts.

I think Phil really carries all of the crafts videos.
If i were to pick a favorite, though, i think the second crafts videos was better, they had better acting and comedic timing in that one.
This one was dragged on a bit, but i still liked it.

The camera shaking was probably just ether the editing effect or one of them moving the table with their foot. And the two friends were phil and presumably Satan. Or maybe It was Phil's secret pregnant wife helping them film the whole thing. (Sorry I just couldnt resist bringing back up phangate today)
What's more disturbing/interesing is that the "case file" numbers they put in the channel description actually link to satanic shit and is also apparently the numerical spelling of Satan. They really went all out with this, I'm very impressed.

I watched it again and I genuinely can't tell! I think it could just as plausibly be - edited in, Dan stomping his feet or a friend behind the camera. I watched that bit three times imagining it was each of those three things respectively, and it seemed plausible each time. That doesn't help at all haha, but just thought I'd weigh in!

I always like it when they go with the full immersion for the craft channel, they really do plan things out properly when they put their minds to it.

I really cannot stop watching the part at 07:10 when Dan is pushing the potato against Phils forehead and he's proper going for it, full hand on the back of the head printing these guys.
Also, I was fully prepared for a jumpscare at 7:33 but there was nothing, phew.

They managed to surprise me again! I thought it would be like the other two videos. But making three very good videos and not drag it out until people lose interest, is the better way to do it. The first DAPC was a surprise, the second was not really a surprise but also not expected, and the third started off as a "normal" DAPC video and ended in a way nobody expected. I am also glad that they made it obvious that it will be the last video in several ways. Therefore nobody will expect anything next year and they can either do nothing or something completely different. Very smart way of dealing with this!

I just hope people won't spam the comment sections again, even though I did gave in and checked out Deppy because of that. It's just annoying and embarrassing (especially for Dan and Phil) :? But knowing the Phandom, someone will find something or they spam "PROTIP" and "Don't cry, craft" again.

I do hope they (or just Phil) will do something with similar kind of humour again at some point. I really like the weirdness and the dark twist. Tbh, I always enjoyed the DAPC videos because of this. For me, neither of them were a surprise because they were already out when I truly got into Deppy (I think that was last year in April, actually, so almost a year ago :wtf: ). If they do something like that, I don't need their bants to be entertained. And I think with that kind of humour they could attract other people that usually wouldn't enjoy their content as well. And I don't mean that their current audience is shit, I just mean that it might be nice for Deppy to mix it up a bit. Many people tend to say that their prime time is over, so why not do something new and see what happens? On the other hand, I hope they don't manage to attract assholes when they do that :? Welp, I'm thinking too far ahead again

I agree with the comments on the video - that video is definitely some DHMIS shit. I mean, it's not as harrowing, but... damn. The CRAFTS Trilogy (yes, I'm calling it like that), imo, is very eerie and unnerving. There's just this vibe that makes it so unsettling, even if the first two videos isn't as graphic (whut?) like the last one. I commend Phil for the editing (assuming he is the one who edited it because it's just like his old videos). They have a talent in making the most ordinary things unsettling (the first two videos), so I do hope that they won't put that talent to waste. It comes so naturally for them, mostly Phil. (Phil is the one who unnerves me the most when he talks, and Dan's the one who unnerves me through his actions.)
...Glasses Phil, though ...But it's probably only for the video.

Also... The banner Great job on the #spons, mods (For real, though, I would probably buy an IDB shirt )

I loved it! I will miss the series, but agree it's best to end on a "high", and making it a trilogy works.

In the beginning it seemed like Dan was smiling too much. I bet they were having a blast making it. Phil just does the creepy, horror thing sooo well. That really made it. The editing was great, and of course, . . . the ending! Very unexpected.

I would love to see them use this as a launching off point to make some outside-of-the-box videos. They have the creativity. I'd really like to see them let loose. It could be risky given their current formula has worked so well for them, but I don't think anything they've done has really been a "flop", so the odds are definitely in their favor.

Makes me more curious as to what the mysterious project they are working on is

And mods, the banner is just too, too good!

Ok, tbh i wasn't expecting anything great this year, but this was truely good, the end is what made it for me. I cannot wait to see what they'll do next year now that they've decided to give an end to this channel.

Also, on a side note, loving the IDB banner

I felt the same. I really wanted to love this one as much as I loved the previous crafts videos, but the beginning felt a bit too forced to me. I know the forced feeling and off-ness is part of the humour, it just didn't work as well for me as the previous ones. I liked the ending though, tying into the satanic!Dan plotline from glitter faces. I think this is a good conclusion to the series, but I will miss this side to Phil if this is the last we see of him. I hope we get more darker creative projects from them in the future.

The rise of Satanic!Dan on the crafts channel reminds me of the Beckie and Jessica plotline. When I was watching Dan in 2012-13 I thought of them just as recurring sketch characters, and I didn't realise they had their own story and character progression until I read tabinof. I don't know whether Dan planned how their story would progress from the start, or improvised based on what he'd shown previously, but either way I like discovering there's a story happening where I wasn't expecting one.

I don't know what, if anything, the phandom will latch onto to ruin youtube with this year. I didn't notice any single catchphrase that stood out, but I did notice a nature theme, "secrets are important", and a continuation of the sexually suggestive imaginary from Glitter Faces. "The first step is to unsheathe your stick" from last year, and this year we had "this one's long with a big head, like him", a lot of "that felt good for me", somewhat suggestive squirting of the paint, and Phil being told to be gentle and calm.

That is probably my favourite thing they've done this year (if not longer). If the craft channel had to come to an end that was IMO a brilliant conclusion.

And I agree with others regarding Phil the craft channel really is him at his absolute best.

My thoughts exactly. It's similar, but it's very unique and actually has a creepy vibe to it. I wasn't sure if I wanted another crafts video, but damn, I'm glad they gave us one. It's already my new favorite.

That was a great final crafts video, I love the way they wrapped it up. The editing was perfect for the vibe they were going for. (Imagine if that were the first D&P video you found? )

I know people are saying it reminds them of DHMIS but it actually reminded me of Rejected too. Like obviously there is still plenty of weird shit being made on youtube but it feels very early-youtube or like some of the weird shit people used to pass around on file-sharing sites pre-youtube. It was honestly just really well done.

me a while ago: idk i think the novelty of the crafts channel has worn off ://// i dont want another thing like "don't cry craft" or "protip"
me now: PLEASE NO DONT LET THIS BE THE LAST !! DEAR GOD I REGRET MAKING THAT STATEMENT

I genuinely enjoyed this so much though/??? holy shit?? I felt like I was seeing Phil from 2009 again, it was unsettling yet I need more, immediately. Firmly in the trash can for this one - Phil with glasses, without glasses, Dan smearing red paint on Phil's shirtless back? What is going On. I really hope they do more of the dark humour though, hopefully their secret project has some humour like this, whatever it is. The jokes and glitchy editing were on point, it's easily my favourite DAPC video since its birth 3 years ago.

On another note, apparently the new catchphrase is "soft and neat". Literally saw someone say "anyone else spamming other videos with "soft and neat"?" Kill me with a potato to the head, please, I don't need another of these tired memes in my life. I'm sure it won't catch on as easily as the other ones... will it?

Also lmao @ everyone taking this opportunity to change their avatars! Noooo, your "faces" are all different. Perhaps this will be the final kick up the ass I needed to change mine - I remember seeing someone else with the same "kanye not" avatar and thinking "well, one of us is gonna have to change".
