Dan & Phil Part 62: Cat Master and Boy-slave

Welp, no ditl is one of those things that isn't a surprise at all, but I still can't help feeling a bit sad about. For me it just feels so unsatisfying to have a yearly streak be broken. I don't care if it was a festive one or not, I just wish they had done one at some point this year.
Unless I'm remembering wrong, didn't he state in a liveshow before the dog video came out that it wasn't like a ditl, and now he said it is? Guess he was just trying to soften the blow of bad news.

That said I found it to be a great liveshow. Something about it was even more relaxing than usual, I don't know if it was the pretty Christmas tree background or what. I felt like he told a lot more stories/anecdotes than usual which I really enjoyed. Particularly hearing about the Winter Wonderland, the old guy story, and about Martyn rocking stuff lol. I'm really curious what the gamingmas video is going to be like if Dan lost his voice that badly.

Generally, that was a pretty good liveshow, though too bad that there's not going to be a ditl. I knew the lowering my expectations strategy would do me well. At least I'll have the dog video to console myself.
This liveshow was more interesting than usual to me? The stories he told seemed less dull and made for his branded twitter, so it made this one more enjoyable, since I'm usually somewhat bored by liveshows.

That tree picture, though. I'm again struck by how insanely tall they are, and that I'm almost a full foot shorter than Dan.

Oh how I relate to anxiously waiting for someone to come over to your home, especially if you have to show them around and forced to make small talk. I felt extremely called out.

That's the part I remember most vividly. The rest was incredible off course, and really relaxing and I laughed quite a lot. Anticipating the gaming video now, I hope Dan didn't strain his voice too much.

The new video is so unbelievably cute!!!! I laughed at Dan saying "It's DanAndPhilGAMES." when he saw "scraping the bottom of the barrel". At least they're self-aware.

I feel like, with each video, they act more natural/comfortable. Loving it so so so much.

ETA: Something I found really interesting and wanted to note was... Dan didn't use the same hand signal for "phrase" for the last clue as he did for the one before it. But Phil still instantly got it! These two are fascinating to watch.

Much as I still feel salty about the no normal games situation, this vid was great. Dan is really shit at charades and the random agadoo intermission had me crying from laughter. Phil was on the toppest form.

Also I love that universal hand wiggle everyone does when they want their, uhm, charade guesser to extrapolate from a close guess.

My goodness, that was wonderful. Poor Dan, I hope he does get some rest since he apparently can’t help himself not talk or scream. The penultimate one made me laugh so much, almost choking like when I first saw Sarah Millican on TV. It’s amazing seeing all the guesses Phil went through and what Dan tried, and his expressions and flumping onto the desk when Phil didn’t get it. I kept thinking of how I’d do it, there were a few gestures I didn’t quite get, but I see where he was coming from. The Agadoo bit, honestly, all these things Dan’s never heard of makes him seem such a bab to me. I might still have a CD, if not the original tape, of a compilation called Party Party that my parents played at my 6th birthday party, it has all the classics (which I’ve now mostly forgotten the names of). The things Phil came out with too. Dan’s sexy husky voice notwithstanding that bum comment was too good, gotta love a good slip up

I thought it was pretty funny and typical that Dan was still talking constantly even tho he lost his voice and it's against the rules And I agree with Phil the deeper voice was pretty sexy

Also very casual Phil saying Dan's low voice is sexy and should do a hot line and when Dan tries to joke Phil stays on the more mature train without either of them no-homoing? I love the year of Lord 2k17.

Definitely my favorite video of this gamingmas, Phil was incredible and Dan managed to made me cry laughing with his reactions. Hope he gets some ibuprofen, sleep, food and cuddles, he looked especially cuddly and soft

Great video. I don’t know how dan didn’t kill phil in that video because I wouldn’t have been able to be so patience with him. I wouldn’t mind if they did more videos like this on the gaming channel, I mean it’s more of a entertaining channel than full let’s play of games so I’m up for more like this.

This was very cute and one of my fave gaming videos. I hope they realize they can open DAPG to things other than computer games and still get views.
Also, I sound just like Dan right now. I've had a terrible cold for three days (Stupid NYC germs get me every time) and my voice is hovering at a strong squeak today. I give him all the credit in the world for doing this, because if he's anything like me, doing complex things for more than five minutes is exhausting.

Their Christmas tree is so cute! I’m not a fan of real ones because who has time to constantly hoover up the needles even on a “no-drop tree” but theirs is decorated in such a lovely way, plus they used the sexy ghost star which I’ve always liked.

I have been trying to catch up on videos, the Skyrim video wasn’t really my thing. I love VR but watching someone else play it was weird and I found it pretty boring. I skipped the game play and just watched Phil laying on the bed about 5 times as I felt sorry for him but thought it was kinda hilarious.

The charades video, sign me up for more of this. I loved it. One of the best gamingmas videos yet (after mariokart). I honestly thought everyone knew what Agadoo is, it’s an iconic song from the 80s (showing my age here). them referencing it so much really made me giggle - Agadoo-do-don’t give a shit was so funny! Dans face when Phil said “scrape my bottom” was all I needed to see to make the video a 10/10!

i'm am FIRMLY real tree. i've always gotten a real tree so it makes me happy that they've finally done it but also blows my mind that phil has never had a real tree in his life. i know there's plenty of reasons people don't like real trees but fake ones just ruin the atmosphere for me personally.

i also definitely prefer ornaments with more sentimental meaning. every ornament on the tree at both my mom and dads house is unique and different ad has it's own story. i know a lot of people think having a bunch of matching sphere ornaments looks classy but it's boring to me.

really surprised that no one pointed out how absolutely ILL dan looks in that photo. it does make sense with tonight's video but wow...he could use some rest and fluids.

however...the way that they play charades was interesting to me. i've always played like with a lot more structure and hand gestures that mean certain things. maybe they made it a little more user universal since it was for a video or maybe that's just how they really play....definitely interesting though.

also i've been gone but just know that i LOVED all the food videos and the spons and WOW did they both look amazing on that red carpet.
