This is the kitchen seen in the background of one of Dan's live shows (can't remember which), and it's definitely different to the one in this video. I'm not sure I'm on board with them having two completely separate flats as I can't see the point of that given that they've filmed in both, I feel like it's more likely their flat is just weird and has two kitchens? Although that also seems kind of strange and unlikely, whom knows tbh

I loved the video, don't have much else other to say other than that 'the literal other half' end screen ended my life.

I lowkey was worried that this video would be good but not amazing. Cute and fun but nowhere near last year's video.

I was so wrong.

They love each other SO much. Say that love is platonic, say it's romantic - it doesn't really matter. Just seeing glimpses into how comfortable and bright and close and happy they are around each other is incredible. I don't understand why, but these sorts of videos really highlight that. They live together, spend so much time together, and never get tired of each other, never stop wanting to be with the other. Phil is Dan's literal other half, and although we might have known already, seeing them share it with us feels really special.

This video felt like it was made to go with Dan's re-branded image.A lot calmer than last year's, and seemed more natural.

They were comfortable around each other, but in the context of how they have acted in videos all throughout this year and during the spooky week, i didn't think the level of comfort was something remarkable, just expected. And they did do some downplaying that they didn't in last year's video (the whole wedgie moment was a little odd).

Overall, it was funny and had nice moments, but i agree with those who thought something was maybe a bit lacking, I think it was ok.

Nothing much to say except I was having a shit day and could not have asked for a better mood booster
My favorite part was the decorating. The sweater forced them to sit close together (not like they don't do that already) and it felt all cozy.
Phil's Frankenstein song had me dead also the part of Dan's brain where he's secretly a furry LMAO

I've already rewatched twice now. Some thoughts.

They definitely have two kitchens, and I'm fairly certain it's between two flats (or a duplex? whatever you'd like to call it). Thats the kitchen we saw in Daniel's depression video, I recognized the corner where they filmed the bird poo scene immediately. (Bleh I still don't like the sterile white cabinets, not my taste at all)
The blinds over to the right with the plants looks like the area Dan poked his head out of while wrapped in a blanket - balcony/deck/patio whatever.

I agree with what someone else already said earlier - I do get the feeling that one is their love nest and the other is for work. MC Escher, my ass Dan. They're confusing because they're two separate areas entirely. Those sneks.
I can already see the arguments that this is proof they live separately incoming. I'm still not buying that Phil aka Dan's "literal" other half sleeps in a tiny shoebox while Dans room is the size of my entire fucking house lmao. Boy, bye.

Also, I was initially just so damn shocked that I had read "other half" (still kinda am like what the fuck) now the more I think about it and the initial shock has worn off a bit... Dan really did have to understand the implication there. Just thought I’d explain a bit about my self if anyone cares to know?. I found dan and Phil back in 2014 through a collab they did with Alfie and became infatuated with them both then when 2015 came around and videos weren’t coming out that much, I would just stick to watching sims videos and kinda forgot about them because I fell into the RPDR fandom. Then earlier this year my sister showed me dans dis track and I was completely taken back by him calling out his sexually! That made me dig deeper into their life’s which led me here. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with the discussion about the baking vid but i don’t know how else to jump into this. I have no idea how to use this site and im pry doing everything wrong let me know. You all seem like the type of people i identify with im not vocal on any other part of the phandom. I hope you acept me posting here.

That video was really something wow. I wish I could write something more coherent and interesting, but it's 3 am and I'm mildly delirious. I might come back in the morning with a more detailed comment, once I'm awake and I've watched the video again. For now, I've only got few random comments.

They definitely have two kitchens, but I still disagree with the two flats theory. It makes no sense to me, why would they get one for work and keep the other one for themselves, but then end up using and showing both? Nah. For me, it's definitely a duplex (uk version obvs).

The literal other half killed me. I mean, sure, it was a joke, but the implication was clear and dan is no idiot. He knows exactly what he's doing and what people would make of it.

re: their chemistry/level of comfort: last year we weren't used to it, so monster pops felt like a mystical revelation or a fever-induced dream, but this year we have seen their boundaries getting progressively thinner and their interactions getting more and more natural and flirty, to the point where a video like this today seems almost "in the norm". We expect that level of comfort, bc they have normalized it. And I think that's the sign of a big step forward.

We have a pretty good view of this kitchen now. If this is a second flat, or a floor that could be used as a standalone flat, then there could be another secret master bedroom that belongs to Phil, other than the one he films in.

Idk if it's my medication or I've just gotten a life or I'm going through that dipping phase in my obsession but D&P don't excite me that much atm and I haven't been checking IDB as regularly, though I still enjoy their content and this video was cute and silly and a hot sexual mess as to be expected (also I played Truth Bombs at a friend's house and it was genuinely such a fun party game). Also recent events have just made me wary of YouTubers and their onscreen presences/ responsibilities again.
My relationship with them has changed and I'm just holding them at arm's length rather than being fully in the trash like I was just a couple of months ago.
Still love 'em. Just can't bring myself to care as much as I used to.
