I just finished Dan's video and oh my god I was laughing out loud the whole way through
I'm guessing it's the meal we saw in Hazel's TOTM, shame we didn't see more of it in the vlog
Agree with everyone on the various highlights, it felt to me like we were seeing the real Dan & Louise and their friendship makes me so happy, definitely a video to go back to on a down day!
Edit: really, top of the page with this useless contribution

Dan is sooooo loud and screechy. I know this isn't news to anyone but the later in the evening you're watching the more apparent it becomes.
I enjoyed the DINOF video and I loved that it was so long but considering it was just them telling the story of a single meal I do wonder if Dan really felt everything in there was vital and needed to stay or if it was just lazy editing.
Also for anyone who didn't watch Hazel's Jan vlog she does vlog a bit of that meal they are talking about at 6:48 (assuming it's the same meal because it's the same guest list, in a fancy restaurant and Phil's holding a cocktail that looks like the Geisha drink they were describing).

Oh my god. I made the weirdest laughing noises while watching the 30 minute video.
I loved everything about it!
It's weird, but I find the combination of D+L's voices ... relaxing. Louise speaks with slow, drawn out sentences and Dan speaks in short staccato ones and they just compliment each other so well and flow and agh I could watch it forever.
22:15 was my favorite moment, I re-watched it about 5 times. (When he says "I was just making tiny noises like... eeeee") The way his face contorts when he makes that noise, I just...
Also, if "buttergluttons" becomes the new "PROTIP" I will leave the internet forever sidenote: can anyone make a gif of Dan when he is talking about himself being the "alpha male?" thanks

i loved that it was so long, i feel like condensing it down to the 'interesting bits' would take away from it. no doubt people will find the other parts boring, but i think it's necessary to really get the story.
i love dans collabs because he's a really nice, endearing sort of awkward where you can tell he's trying really hard to make the person comfortable, and sometimes he tries a bit too hard to join in and it's really sweet. i like that he's just a nice, unintimidating yet horribly uncomfortable person. he seems simultaneously mildly protective and like someone being mothered a bit i like that he explained stuff more too, mostly because i thought louise was kind of vague at times and i like that dan summarises and explains things every 4 seconds
i didn't think he mentioned phil more than was necessary tbh. it was a story about an evening where he was there, obviously he's going to be mentioned, he's one of the guests they both know well and felt comfortable sharing stuff about

YES, I just want to reach and clean the damn screen.
Because of moments like the threesome coathangers or Phil's napkin, I strongly wish DP did some vlogging. Overall:
Questions: What did they say at 13:15 and 20:03?
Louise: we all know Hazel's the alpha male at that table
Dan: That's true, that's absolutely true.
Then I think that apart from saying "a stylish little belt" Louise's saying something like "what are you doing/saying", which prompts Dan's answer
Thank you I caught the stylish little belt, but then Dan mumbles something really fast?

I enjoyed that video! I love Dan and Louise's chemistry!
One thing I didn't understand was what was so funny about the loosening the belt part of the story lol. I know it was a fancy restaurant and all so it was a bit inappropriate to do, but they made it sound like he saw her naked.
[offtopic]Does Louise have a boyfriend? Is that who she was referring to in her fb post? I know some people use 'bf' for best friend too. Ngl, I kind of ship her and Dan lol.[/offtopic]

dans video was hilarious, so many parts had me laughing out loud and he looked really good too
the story about phil's napkin and his choice of drink
this video reminded me of the previous topic we had regarding a podcast. this is the kind of thing i'd love in a d&p one, just telling stories about things that have happened to them.
just an observation but when dan comes across as being really comfortable in videos he seems more camp? i'm not sure if it's just me that thinks this and thought it was more obvious during this video but i wonder if it's something he holds back bc i know he's been defensive about it before.

Oh, I missed that! I went back to it a couple of times but I still can't figure it out.

i dont watch louise that much. I think NWW is pretty similar to tipsy talk minus the drinks. Random, pointless chats between louise and her friends. She will always make cringe sex comments and terrible jokes laughing to herself. It comes down to how interesting those people are. I tried to watch the marcus NWW and it was the boring. D&P NWW was all that(and i find phil the most interesting person on yt) and adding the lack of any connection/chemistry and how uncomfortable they were with each other it made the video bad for me.
Dans video: It wasnt as bad as NWW... Maybe its just me that i dont get those story time videos on yt that go on and on for 30 minutes with no reason whatsoever But couldnt this video be 1000 times better if it was at least 20min shorter??
it was dragging and dragging forever. Any potential good moments were lost between the pointless giggles and the boring details. Why would someone be interested in that much detail (and esp. in a boring story like this) I am left with literally nothing from the video. It never really got my attention. I am even more surprised dan actually uploaded a video like that and in his main channel as well. 2 years ago that story would be a little part of a 10min video with another 5 awkward (maybe actually funny) moments. Dan would more likely kill himslef before he published this video in 2014. Times change...

I noticed him being more camp as well in this video. Don't know what brought it out, but I liked it.

I hate him.
I think he is in the US, but I could be wrong. I just wished he would tweet about it and let us know.

i find him more feminine and expressive than camp, camp to me kind of implies a really dramatic act rather than something more subtle and natural. he definitely shows a more feminine attitude when he's with someone he's comfortable with, especially women. if he's holding it back with other people, id guess that's a subconscious act leftover from being in an all boys highschool

I could be wrong but I think that was in reference to the fact they were pretending it was Louise's birthday when it wasn't actually?

this is a fair observation and I'm not disagreeing with you per se (don't think this vid will suit everybody... especially not if you're not a big Dan fan in the first place), but I'm Dan and Louise trash and personally I loved every second I thought the length was a real treat and it's nice that he doesn't feel like he has to stick to a 10 minute curfew

Do we know if Dan is still in the UK or already joined Phil in Florida? I know there was some talk he was at the airport the other day but I wasn't sure if that was spec based on one tweet or confirmed?
And I think Dan's we sit on a thrown of lies/crumbling with guilt comments are because they are pretending it's Louise's birthday presumably for a free dessert.
Actually do super fancy restaurants even give you a free dessert for a birthday? When your paying £130 a head you should .
Louise (and Dan) quite clearly would have preferred the pizza place, they didn't even seem to love the food at the big expensive restaurant and paying a fortune for a meal is one thing if it's fantastic food but in this case Louise and Dan didn't even remember what they had for their main meal and didn't speak highly of the starter. And for poor Louise is was £260! Bet she gritted her teeth as she thanked her friend for that surprise.

I just watched the video and I cannot. I actually expected Kingsley to drag him more, but I guess since he's a fellow YouTuber he wanted to be nice. 'Jesus, Dan...'
