I loved that video. I knew it was going to be Satanic from the start but I didn't realize how far they'd take it. TBH I'd love to see more "found footage" type of things just springing up on this channel randomly to continue the story of what the hell happened to Phil, but I really don't think that's going to happen. Seeing this video and how unnerving it was just solidified my need for a deppy-directed horror series/film. Please, god. Let it happen.
I totally didn't connect the dots with the banner and April fools. I thought you were legit selling comic sans IDB tees. Oops. :gg:

I wonder what Deppy will have in the works when next year comes around, though. A baking video where they won't even try to bake properly, so their kitchen will end up a mess? A video about them moving in to their house, maybe? Or of them getting a dog? Of them getting a #phandivorce?

That'd pretty much be a copy of Emma Blackery's baking videos (Pancakes for Singles, Pizza for Singles, etc.)

Holy. Shit. I loved this video. I mean, I still stand by DanandPhilCrafts being expected and not quite a prank, but if they had to do it, this was 100% the way to go.

Satanic!Dan is definitely my new favorite Dan. When he says, "This one's long with a big head... like him." He didn't really make any gesture towards Phil. That and "I think he'll be happy with this one" at 6:57 and "what he wants us to be" at 7:02... says to me that he keeps talking about the Devil tbh. But hey, maybe not with the potato shape and I'm just digging a little too deep.

Also, the "Protip" at 4:35? Sounded like they purposefully recorded themselves saying "Protip" backwards and played it forward like all those classic "satanic" musicians. Just me? It also seems like Phil's going for the same thing at 7:24, but... not quite?

"I only trust my potato with my true friend." Love it. Love it so much. Same goes with Phil's concerned face at 7:04. Honestly, though? Phil kinda wins this video? Like many have mentioned, it threw me back to old school Phil. He just kept the acting perfect and pointed and creepy while Dan clearly had the giggles occasionally.

When Dan initially started stamping his sheet of paper, I kept watching how determined he was to make it somewhat perfect while Phil is just talking and talking... loved that an unnecessary amount too.

I'm basically stanning this video.

Also who's helping Phil get the 6s off his back?

The Phandom is good overall, but sometimes it just gets so out of hand. Nothing much that can be done about it. This is where I go to talk about deppy, so as long as it isn't spammed here, it'll be bearable.

I have to give it to Phil because he is particularly good when it comes.to this sort of acting. Also I am still convinced the channel was Phil's idea or of anything, he has came up with the «crafts». IIRC he did laat year beecause I remember Dan mentioning that they were super busy and they were not going to do anything and the same day, Phil said that they will do the glitter thing.

This year, while peoplee associate Dan with dark and mysterious, the whole «plot» of the video soundds very Phil.

And hey, Phil with glasses and shirtless Phil with Dan printing on him was a unexpected and wonderful surprise.

Damn, that was good, went beyond my expectation. I've watch it thrice now and I still can't pick my favourite moment.

I thought it will be another nice satanic video where Dan draw pentagram again but they went deeper.

Fav part include:
-Phil lying about where he got the potato and really go to hell
-Dan describing his potato (long with a big head) looks like the satan
-Phil saying he only has two friends, Dan and satan
-'Friends are important, then you have more knives'
-'Activities are better with a pal'
-Dan making a very neat number 6 on the potato
-'I like glitter but we need the fruit of the earth to make our sacrifice' continuity from glitter faces
-Phil speaking in his crafty tone while Dan is drawing his pentagram
-Dan stamping his no 6 potato on phil
-Summoning satan ritual
-The door knock and Dan probably kicking under the table
-All the eerie background noise/music

Phil definitely wins the game in these crafts videos. It is a total Philippa/The Basket/Tape 6 vibe, completely with choppy weird editing and deadpan humor that is totally unsettling and perfect.

I love this video so much. I hope it's the end, but also if it isn't then that would almost be more hilarious, for them to show up next year with a DAPC like this one never happened. I trust Phil's love of horror-comedy sensibilities, and this video proved that my trust is not misplaced.

Okay, I've really enjoyed reading people's analysis of this video. This video is kind of on-par with the subtleties and references of DHMIS and Poppy. I think that as these videos are so different from their normal content, and we KNOW it's obviously fake, there's not much to pick apart from this concerning background and them as "people" as it doesn't have any correlation, but I really enjoyed reading things that people have noticed from this. I made a compilation of them, and things I noticed, because I found it interesting.

The symbolism of the "666", the pentagram, the goat noises, the red paint, and even down to Phil's illuminati shirt, finally put to a good use. Also, when Dan is pressing the potato onto Phil's forehead and hand, the next cut has Phil making the "hand gestures" of Satan, that he got from Poppy's "low life" video.

I just made a compilation of some user's posts that I've found notable:

I've been trying to find a correlation between the numbers of "19-1-20-1-14 " that is mentioned. Anyway, in some of the videos that come up, the only thing I can scrape from it that might have meaning are these videos.

That suggest this number, from the bible somewhere in a name of the passage, predicts the end of the world or something. The only thing I find significant from this, is the sort of biblical reference and the name "Daniel". Maybe deppy purposely chose this because of that? However, when I research the number, I simply cannot find any reference or discussion of it besides these videos, and they kind of hold no meaning.

I think that this was just a coincidence, but it's a hilarious one anyway, that this random number when searched actually has some cryptic association and when searched the name "Daniel" shows up.

The point of deppy building up to the reveal of "Him" by referring to him as "long and with a big head, like him". Also the suggestion that "Him" is on par a "friend" to Phil, as Dan is. I'm stretching here with this analysis, but it's kind of fun, when considering the story. Basically, the kind of subtle erotic language they use and how the two of them are "friends" and how "Him" is also a "friend" is a pretty strange thing if you know what I'm getting at. Also considering Phil is seem lying face down on the table, passed out, with his shoulders, arms and back covered in 6's. While I know Phil didn't strip down to go completely in character, and we can't see, but consider if Phil was completely naked and being taken by "Him"...basically the more I think about the story, the weirder the subtext gets.

I've just been thinking about these points for a while, and I know some of what I said was stretching, but it was fun, so phuck it

That video was so so so so good?!! Like I feel like I'm dreaming because it was actually hilarious and well thought out. Also phil had me cry laughing with all his sayings, he amazes me with his ability to keep a serious straight face and kinda lead the video. I always have to remind myself that they o into this mostly scriptless and so everything they say is on whim and that makes it all the greater Also the concept was so silly but brilliant, potato stamps are the greatest thing in the world
Fave line was "if you mess up you have to think about it got the whole day"

Amazing job boys!!!! (also the whole idb layout and merch is the greatest thing I've witnessed )
