*is also team Still Excited*
I'm thinking they've already moved? I was thinking that with them going to Singapore again after AUS, that they've already moved, but were possibly on holiday for the lack of internet? Since that can take a few weeks when moving (at least where I live). And since it's their job and all, I can imagine them planning on going somewhere if they have no internet.
Maybe my idea is bogus but anyway
*still excited*
(though yes I agree with someone earlier moving sucks balls and I don't envy them for that part)

Aw, that's sweet! And Dan liked it as well.malday wrote:Phil liked this :')
edit: is she the person that hired them for the bbc radio?
I just rewatched the video to take a closer look at the old apartment and I’ve gotta say, I never noticed how small it actually was, I always thought it was quite pretty and spacious but it really isn’t, is it? The kitchen looks tiny and their bedrooms aren't as big as I used to think either. :wtf: I never realised how many stairs there were either or how derelict it is. Cracks in all the walls and ceilings? Wow.
So considering all of this, I’m not sad they’re leaving that place behind especially since they seem to be really happy to move out themselves.

Just thought I'd say how I'm so happy I've found this place. It feels like home. I check (and lurk I guess) every morning to see what you guys are saying and what's going on, and it just feels nice to have somewhere where... you feel like you belong. Times are stressful and tough at uni right now and I just can't wait to get home and see how you're all doing and what you're talking about. (And obviously watch d&p.)
It's so nice to be a part of something, I've not been here since the beginning but I'd like to think we're all (on some level) friends, we all talk and discuss these two wonderful people. Yesterday was probably the highlight of the month for me, and was heightened by the fact that everyone was so excited and happy and it was such a good day! And even if I don't know you all on a personal level, I'd like to thank you all for being here. It's incredible to have such a nice community.

So the 25th of April is also officially going to be Lala land day in L.A, so this means that whole city of Los Angeles is as deppy trash as we are... Joking! But srly it's cute to know some of us will never forget this date, and some non phans will also be celebrating with us without them knowing.

Yeah katka (initially I read your name as "kafka" by the way) I too was surprised at how cramped the whole place is. How do they even film baking videos in the kitchen?? It looks tiny. Or maybe the entire view we get in the camera is literally the floor space of the kitchen.
I kind of feel that while they were on holiday, the move happened and things were being set up - that explains why the kitchen is so empty in the meringue video - since that's one of the last things they prefilmed for the period when they're on holiday.

I think they've already moved too: my theory is that they filmed most of yesterday's video a few weeks ago, got everything packed up before their big trip and then actually moved to their new house when they got back (having had the internet installed in their new place while they were away). I reckon they've either gone to a new build or somewhere that's been completely renovated to a very high standard...I'm sure they'd want somewhere with minimal hassle and high spec.
I'm far too excited to see how they decorate/furnish and incorporate their individual styles!

months without commenting she comes back with everyone else
Lured back in by the moving announcement - yay!
I'm ridiculously excited they've finally decided to move, can't wait to see what their new place is gonna look like. I recently moved myself - I've still got cardboard boxes in my living room and I absolutely demand #relatable videos about the hardships of moving. (But let's be real they totally paid someone else to do all the heavy lifting while they were away.)
Amusing how their moving announcement is essentially just one big roast of their old appartment, I feel you guys.
Cool seeing all the new people here by the way! Seriously how many of us went "I tried to lower my expectations but..."? Lmao Dan and Phil have taught us well to not get our hopes up.
Don't care about phan, only care about the dog.
Noticed this in the moving video (it's totally clickbait):
Also wanted to share this random fan video because I can't get over it and the channel's amazing in general and you should check it out:
(Few more example videos from them under the cut)

Well, same language and country of origin, so you weren't that far off.flurry wrote:Yeah katka (initially I read your name as "kafka" by the way)I too was surprised at how cramped the whole place is. I was wondering the same thing about the kitchen. They must have impressive camera skills to make the flat look so spacious and nice in videos when in fact it was cramped with cracks in the walls. It came as quite shock to me to see what it really looked like. I also thought the gaming channel room was way bigger than it actually was. I'm really excited to see the new place now. They must have chosen it with filming in mind so I'm really looking forward to their new backgrounds and if the gaming channel lighting is really going to be better.
i feel the same way!! it's also nice to see people bonding so strongly over this specific event. it feels like some sort of grand fluke to me i even found this place, i bumped into the new survey, took it and went "WHATS THAT" when i saw the site's name. looked it up, scrolled through a bit, instantly felt like i needed to join in. the move happened and the hype of it all feels so electric, i hope people stick around once the initial excitement dies down.lishachi wrote:Just thought I'd say how I'm so happy I've found this place. I still can't verbalize my excitement, I never thought they would actually make an announcement? I second whoever said that they thought it would just be mentioned in a liveshow or something.
I loved how Phil went full northern at 1:57, he really does live his knickknacks and the way they say "no" in sync at 9:24 kills me.
I love how they never explicitly said they're moving in togther. They just used that famous Deppy-We, as if it's ridiculous to even entertain the fact that they could move apart. It's even funnier now that their video's trending
actually, just the fact that their video's trending makes me laugh and I don't know why, there's no reason for me to feel that way...I think Deppy broke me, my emotions don't work anymore.

i'm also still excited for them! add me to the list of people who dreamt about this last night -- for me it was that i had unknowingly rented their old flat after them (very...realistic...) and i was super excited to move to london, but when i wanted to move in, they had left shittons of crap behind. there were unwashed clothes lying all over the floors, one room was just full of empty boxes, they hadn't even emptied the trash. i had to wade through all this while getting progressively angrier and at the height of my aggressions, i woke up -- not exactly well-disposed towards them.
it's been lovely to read all your posts throughout the day. i'm honestly still trying to understand why them moving makes me so happy -- i guess it's got something to do with this being another instance where it's clearly visible to us what an important role they play in each other's lives, and how they continue to choose each other in so many aspects of it. i don't see the move as indicative of the ~nature of their relationship~ and i honestly don't really care, but it really gets to me how they never grow tired of each other and continue to be excited about each other's company throughout the years.
this must have been the sappiest post i've ever written, but i'll say it honours the occasion.
in other news, i wanted to say that i really enjoyed the video apart from everything else! it had such a good balance between being funny and nostalgic. i was surprised, too, that they included the old photo and the wardrobe clip, but their reactions to them were the cutest.

i'm still pinching myself because i can't quite believe this is real life one direction never entertained my theories and speculation is this what being truly loved is like.
i've been thinking about when the video was filmed bc the timing is really weird. the obvious assumption is that it was filmed earlier and then the last bit with all of the boxes was the last thing to be filmed once they came back from australia, but who goes on a business trip in the middle of moving and instead of making the trip as short as possible has a mini-vacation on the way there and on the way back? i know, layovers and all that, but as someone who experienced the stress of moving multiple times while growing up, it strikes me as odd. unnecessary speculation under the spoiler cut bc i ramble and include screenshots.
tl;dr: i think the moving video was filmed right around the very end of march with the end where everything's boxed up being filmed right before they left on their trip, and that they came back and officially moved into the new place and are acting like they're still packing to throw people off. none of this is important but i'm just that weirdo who likes to have a timeframe for things, so

OH MY GOD SAME, and it was so funny how dan knew not showing us would probably get a few sideeyes, regardless of what it's actual contents are. probably hamstersSexyTrashCan wrote:Honestly what's been haunting me through it all is what was in Dan's bed drawer

Either they also filmed the crafts video in late March (and lied about it being filmed day of) or it has to have been filmed early April, since Dan referenced the green paint splatter.allsaintshowell wrote:i'm still pinching myself because i can't quite believe this is real life one direction never entertained my theories and speculation is this what being truly loved is like.

to me, they're being very ambiguous about when they're moving/whether they've already moved. dan was even asked straight up when they're moving and he dodged the question. the timing of waiting until they were done with australia to post the video also leads to confusion bc more casual fans (i.e.: not me) could just assume they were in the process of moving and everything would be happening that week.fancybum wrote:Wait what did I miss, where are they acting like they're still packing? Dan and Phil made a big deal over having separate rooms in hotel during their trip, including Phil filming himself "waking up" alone while it was obvious he was actually up before and put on clothes before filming which in context of the situation was seen as some grand betrayal and not a reasonable thing to do. That was... literally it I think? The rest was quite well received.llion wrote:i second this questionSkylar wrote:btw, i dont want to sound dumb or anything, but i noticed some users here referencing ditl of australia and saying bad stuff abt it? well, not bad but that what deppy did in it was? idk i cant explain it. i guess what im wondering is, whats so bad abt it? i feel dumb sorry
