First time poster blah blah blah, i was sent here by a very kind user from the site which im guessing shall not be named after i pm'd her after seeing dan and phil in her sig, because in the last few weeks i have become a giant fan after seeing them in my recommendations. LilMango you have been very kind in answering my questions, and also listening to me ramble about phils hair so thank you!

I'd just like to say i love this site because 1: you all seem so nice, 2: I am learning a lot without having to wade through hate posts which lets face it, is rare for youtubers, and 3: I am a middle aged nose pervert (Im still trying to catch up on here and havent quite found out what that joke is yet!) in that im a few years older than phil and was feeling a bit weird about liking them, but here ive seen im not alone!! yay for middle aged nose perverts!!!

Right, im going to head back to lurking to catch up!

(Also, in the cause of lurking around the youtube comments i saw reference to a "hat fic". I found the hat fic. The hat fic has disturbed the shit out of me, not just for the content but for the fact the original writer apparently has absolutely no idea how male anatomy and certain things relating to it work. Like, seriously, to fill a hat full of a certain substance would take im guessing months of devoted work, unless its a lego hat? I digress...Anyway, Does anyone have any other recommendations of things that as a very very new fan i should probably not let my curiosity get the better of me with?!)

OK, I give up on the they travelled together. But 1, now we actually have a reason for him staying behind, and 2, it's more likely a LS tomorrow now. So yay for that.

All I can say is, our forums so far have not only been eventful, but hilarious. Have fun reading them
Also, to be honest, even if some things may scar you, I think if you're curious about something you should look into what people say about it before diving right in! Especially in the case of the hat fic... if I hadn't found out what it was through people reacting to it before finding the actual story, I would have had a fate similar to yours. But I'm glad I know at least what it is now, and even though I haven't read it I'm in on the joke.

And I think that's great that sometimes they do things by themselves. They shouldn't be so dependable on the other, so now I understand Dan staying behind. He did look nice today, too!

Dan (and Phil) were among the winners of YouTube Next Up 2012 so I'm actually really appreciating the full circle it's coming to. Back then Next Up wasn't divided up by country and it was a worldwide thing so they got mentoring from Natalie Tran and iJustine via Skype as a 'prize' (dunno if that ever actually happened, they've never mentioned it?) and now Dan is a mentor/speaker for the UK 2016 winners but IRL at the YouTube Space. That's awesome imo.

A friend of mine told me yesterday that she thinks Phil is 'finally' starting to look older, more like his age. I kinda agree, but I also wonder if that's just my mind playing tricks on me because he wasn't 100% AmazingPhil in yesterday's videos which automatically ages him. (conspiracy theory? phil keeps the amazingphil persona and won't change it because he's terrified of aging. that's also why he avoids the topic of death. peter pan syndrome is real.)

Does anyone know if D&P have dual screens in their office? Dan is looking at his right side a lot, especially when he's pushing his hair away from his face, like he's watching himself on another screen (camera recording)? ..to check if he still looks good with the hair pushed back

I've always thought he looks much more mature when he doesn't have his fringe. Even in his high school aged photos he looks older than he does as AP. The minute he pushes that baby back, he looks like your typical film geek/techie production guy/director to me which is a good look on him don't get me wrong

I think the peter pan syndrome is real, even though he dropped his persona he still looks a lot younger than he really it, not the appearance, just how he speaks and do things. Cuz he is only two years younger than hazel right? Hazel is a fairly young looking person to her age already, like 28 ish, but phil feels like 25 tops without persona.

In other news, as much as I dislike the fact that I'll probably be woken up in the middle of the night by them uploading/tweeting while they're in the US I'm really excited to see how they cope with 2/3 months on a bus. I know I couldn't manage a week let alone a couple of months!

I agree with everyone else who enjoyed the new vid, it was nice, for a Sims video. Their biggest flaw playing the Sims is that they're way too safe; they just strive to give Dil the most ordinary life ever which is suuuch a wasted opportunity in the Sims universe. Go nuts, guys, ffs. I was glad to finally see some fire and alien abduction. Anyway, my fav part of it all was really just the little moment at 01:27. Mentioned for the millionth time but I wish they'd both understand that it's more fun watching them be genuine and subdued rather than deadpanning the camera or do some eagle squawking, but, alas, they're morons. Phil looks younger than he is, I was really surprised at the age difference between him and Dan when I started watching them in 2012. Phil didn't look so much older to me at all. But when my friend and I watched Tipsy Talk and Sims yesterday, we could kinda see him looking his age. It was weird.

I don't think linking to the game like that makes it spon, if that's what you mean. That just goes to the Youtube generally gaming channel, which automatically compiles big gaming videos, right? Basically, linking it like that just lets people who might not be subscribed to them but like gaming videos still have it show up in their feed (if they subscribe to youtube gaming, and 77 million people are so - it'd be dumb for them not to link it like that).

no it's a youtube feature that ids the game, it appears on all gaming videos now. It's not a spon

I'm holding out hope that Phil changes something drastically when he turns 30 or post-tour. And by something I mean getting a quiff. but that will probably never happen because they put their goddamn fringes on a sweatshirt
