I was almost missing this type of video from Phil, so I liked it very much. But damn! He looks as tired as me when I sleep for less than two hours in two days. I hope that after he filmed the video he got some sleep.
About the dolls: no thanks get that shit away from me
It also reminded me of his old Florida vlogs with the showing the nature around etc. Cute.

I didn't love the video, could only focus on how exhausted Phill looks & how little sense he's making - it was a fun video concept, but I wish he'd waited a day or two to film it, I think even his energy was off from being so tired
but mostly, the logic.
like I posted this on Tumblr, but really, if anyone can explain all of this?
phil had to book a cab on Dan’s phone the night before because his wasn’t working
so he woke Dan up in the morning, checked his phone & it said that his cab has arrived
shut the door, locked everything up
and no cab
so the cab number was locked away upstairs on Dan’s phone
so Phil tried to call him as his phone mysteriously recovered during the night?
so Phil rang the doorbell despite having locked up after himself?
so Phil had to bang on the door like a mad person despite having woken Dan up a few minutes prior to this to check his phone?

Okay I think it does make sense now. His phone wasn't working the night before (prob dead battery), so he used Dan's phone to book the cab for the AM, meaning the cab only had Dan's phone number (do cabs text their locations? I don't have any experience with them) so that's why Phil had to check it in the morning for confirmation. Phil's phone was fine/charged in the morning, but he couldn't use it to communicate with the cab. Alrighty then.
edit: phamnotof: Dan probably locked up behind him (why risk taking his keys and losing them when in the US for months) and then went right back to bed.
Also me, but "I didn't want to miss home too much, so I actually brought my pillow with me. Is that weird? It's just a little bit of home that I can take with me wherever I go" immediately made me go 'like Dan when he gets there'.

Mysterious.
I thought he said his phone wasn't working the night before? or did i misheard that? It could be his data connection that wasn't working.

No, please invalidate them because I don't want them I'm just in a weird shitty mood (maybe partyly due to Chris' liveshow?). It is different though imo because these tweets were unprovoked; the Japan one was a direct response to a specific question.
Maybe it was because they plan to make a tour bus video, so they anticipate and counter(?) it first?

Well, if they're still at playlist and the crew already moving then it's two buses. The pictures that was posted yesterday have no bedroom though, if i remember right.
Another possible bus with a bedroom and 6 bunk beds (because star coach doesnt have the 3 bunk beds option) that looks similar and have the same color: http://www.starcoachesinc.com/6639-2/

Such a cute AP video!!! We haven't had that in a while so it was really nice. He looked really tired though, maybe he filmed it the day he got to the Florida home. I am so jealous of the Lesters thy have the coolest family homes. How awesome it is to have an alligator pond outside your home!!

The video was cute, I'm glad it was a story type as I've missed those too. but I found it endearing that he brought his pillow.
Is it wrong I found his cab driver impersonation side-cap thing hot? Yes, I need to re-assess my life.
I thought he said "If I could hold cow..." when he said "hulk out" and I was really confused for a second.
I freakin' love French Toast Crunch! But, unpopular opinion, the generic Cinnamon Toast Crunch is better.
And I'm nitpicking now, I know he likes his pale aesthetic in his videos but jfc he was so blown out in this one. Bounce the light Phil!

Maybe his uber app didn't work? Or his phone was out of battery?
Probably only wake Dan up with the shuffling into his room for his phone/waking up and leaving the bed and getting dressed, and to say bye?
And since Dan was staying in the house, there was no need for locking it, so he just closed the door behind him and worded it wrong? Therefore he didn't have keyes and had to wake up Dan again, who probs fell asleep the moment he said bye?
Idk, I feel like I'm reaching alot.

But whatever, Phil's video has cheered me up somewhat (he looks so good, the stories were funny, ugh I love them both goddammit).
SquishPhan: He said the cab app (..uber?) didn't work on his phone, not his entire phone didn't work. edit: Nope I misunderstood; he booked the cab the night before (maybe his phone was charging). I don't quite get it either.
Ok I'm about to come in with an unpopular opinion... I completely understand that back and forth on twitter. I get why they felt the need, and I'm not taking it as a phan denial either. Let me try to articulate why after a 3 hour drive down south that has me feeling dry in every sense...
So goes without saying that this definitely wasn't their first viewing of the bus layout since they planned the bloody tour themselves. I'm 99% sure they'll have the Prevost one with bunks and a double room (with shower room and tv) that I linked a few pages back.
If it took /one/ instagram by a random crew member they've never even spoken about for us to find layouts, then what did they think was gonna happen? They're not daft, they know full well we were gonna work out that layout by the end of the tour, by hook (lol necklace gate punz) or by crook.
Knowing this, they have two options: address it, or say nothing. Well if they say nothing that's basically coming out, isn't it. That's sharing a double room in a hotel with one bed. That's moving to a house with a master bedroom. That's staring blankly at the fan that says to their face 'are you guys together?'
So they've put something out so it doesn't run away with itself. I totally get it. I mean this is just me but I read it as pretty tongue in cheek. Like I was once going to a festival with my gf and some mates and brought a huge tent for us to sleep in and an airbed and loads of pillows (cos I'm a diva and I have standards) and my first joke once it was set up was 'so what've /you/ brought to sleep in *gf name redacted*?'
Anyway all I'm saying is I wouldn't take it too hard and I see it as no more a phan denial no-homoing as them saying 'no' when asked if they're together. Just necessary unless they basically want to be outed indirectly.
Now I'm off to watch Phil's vid brb chums

About the phone.
His phone wasn't working, maybe it was charging, maybe the app didn't work so he use Dan's to book the taxi. The next day he went out, there was no taxi, his phone was okay but the taxi number was in Dan's phone, that's why he needed Dan's phone again... What is the mistery in this???
I like the video and hate all that doll's.

Just commenting about Phil locking up behind him, I know that whenever I leave for a long trip on my own I leave my house keys home and just lock the door behind me before shutting it (this way I don't disturb my other half, but am locked out of the house after shutting the door). I have definitely been in that situation though of locking myself out and trying to call and getting no answer and then practically having to break the door down to get the door answered

I liked the vid. I don't think #phonegate is a big deal - your phone not working doesn't always mean it's completely broken. Occasionally my phone will glitch or the uber app won't work. I think his phone just glitched a little bit and he ended up using Dan's, NBD.
I'm also thinking the reason he looks tired in the vid is a combination of jet lag and a different lighting set up? In England he's got a blank wall with all of his fancy lighting equipment and stuff, so the makeshift Florida set up is probably impacting his appearance i.e. the little lines under his eyes are more noticeable - I have those too (they're not the same thing as eye bags) but when you're under lighting which makes them more prominent it can make you look more tired

You come back from a day of being kpop trash and find that this thread has had some kind of meltdown at the enlightenment that YouTubers are fake af.
Did Dan and Phil plan those tweets? Hell yes. They know the Phandom already obsesses over their sleeping arrangements at home and in hotels, they must've prepared for the tour sleeping arrangement question for months. And thinking too much about stuff, makes you do weird things. Hence why they suddenly have the desire to address it without anyone asking maybe? I doesn't bother me. Is it sad I've seen so many YouTubers lie about shit that I'm unfazed? Probably. When you've seen YouTubers pretend that their marriage isn't falling apart faster than you can say divorce, you've kinda seen it all.
ANYWAY. Phil's video.
- Not even two seconds in and you get a merch plug. Calm down.
- I like nature.
- lmao at the story of Danny Boy not waking up.
- I can confirm airport groud staff feeds off of your misery.
- I feel like Phil's parents trolled him by putting him in that room.
It was nothing special, but I like Phil's story videos and it's nice to see a solo Phil video after two collabs (three if you wanna count Dan but nobody does). He looked so tired though, I fear for their health and and their sanity this tour

I love Phil vlogs. Gosh I miss him so much, the lack of liveshows is really hard. At least GOT starts today xD
Anyway, I obvs enjoyed the vid, but damn does he look tired in it. If he hadn't looked so good yesterday, I would be worried af. Poor sweetheart, he must have been mega jetlagged when he filmed it.
The story about the phone is kinda confusing and no-homo and that makes me slightly sad. Like he had to justify why he had to borrow Dan's phone when any other youtuber would have said "I used his phone to book the cab" and leave it there. Still very entertaining tho , I can totally see Phil just outside waiting for the cab and Dan just sleeping without a care xD
Those dolls reminded me so much of pinof1 They are creepy af tho, no wonder he looked tired. That lake is beautiful tho, I hope the Lesters enjoyed their vacations a lot.
This vid gives me hope for lots of not pre-filmed vids in Phil's main channel, I would adore a DITL one.
Only downside of the vid is that there was too much spon with the merch at the beginning and the tour at the end. Should have left the merch in DAPG and just the tour in AP.

Loved Phil's video:the nature, the story...
Don't wanna to offend anyone but I understand why they would adress it, under their terms, the bed situation than let the phandom do it: the phandom would have asked them, would search and no one wants to be put in that position. So while completely staged I don't see the problem.
Basically what Lurktacularr said.

Maybe they were just sitting around and he was too lazy to go get a charger and just used Dan's phone without a second thought; it's not a huge ordeal.
Dan put the chain on the door, so even if Phil had keys, he couldn't get in. Boom, solved it. lol idk

fancybum wrote:Their tweets just made me feel really weird. How often does Phil reply to Dan's tweets (esp compared to the reverse)? Rarely. This is not a casual convo, it was planned and I would say the intent was to close the door to any scrutiny (correct or not). I don't find it cute, I find it a try-hard attempt at casual banter; it may as well have been an exchange between their ITBot accounts. No thx.
I'm so late to the discussion but I agree with this. Phil rarely replies to Dan but yet here we have an apparent discussion between the two of them which just so happens to be about sleeping arrangements and things they know the phandom will/have been discussing? Please, we aren't stupid.
I don't believe that they hadn't seen the bus until today - for 2 people who are adamant they arranged everything themselves for the american leg of the tour, picking a bus without seeing the layout would have been incredibly stupid. they would have to know how many people the bus was for so it's not something you'd just not arrange. I don't know why they felt the need to tweet something about it, maybe they've done some filming on the bus and it only has one room with a double bed in and they are trying to sow the seed that only one of them is sleeping in that room, who knows. it definitely annoyed me slighly though.
it seems it's okay for them to push the "phan" image at us, when it comes to merch (ie the poster with them looking very close & couply and the sweater that was to represent the one year "anniversary" of japhan) but when it comes to any real evidence that they might actually be together (ie, sleeping arrangements) they'll go out of their way to dismiss any rumours happening.
Phils video:
Um, I enjoyed his little story about getting to Gatwick, but other than that it was just a 4 minute video to sell the tour. I liked the fact he said people of all ages go though, I have seen a lot of people worrying about being too old to go, which just isn't true.

The app thing would make sense, but I have no idea why he'd say his phone wasn't working then, as app would take even less time & is hardly compromising. Baterry makes less sense as you just plug it back up & you're ready to go again.
and I agree there'd be no need for locking if Dan was there, technically, but then why specifically say "shut the door and locked everything up"? like that hardly leaves room for speculation when worded that way
and yeah, Dan falling asleep right away makes sense. Falling asleep that deeply righ away is less likely, but at least it does resemble our Earth logic. IDK.
Like I get that he might have been really jetlagged and therefore got his thoughts jumbled up, but it's just so frustrating to me, it shouldn't be hard to retell a story you've supposedly lived through without getting lost in it. And like, even lie to me for the sake of storytelling, but do it well? Ugh. I should go to sleep, I've never felt grumpy after an AP video, today is a strange day.

I think I'll repeat 'first phan denial 2k16'. I think a lot of people have a head canon that eventually they'll stop commenting on the nature of their relationship, and then eventually will be understood as a couple.
So now they basically say on twitter, 'we are sleeping in different beds'. Yes, I understand why they did it. That's the point. They purposely denied that they are in a relationship.
If they are not in a relationship, then yeah, they purposely denied that they are in a relationship.

Loved the video, he was so energetic and dramatic telling the story. Agree about calming down with the merch spon. He launched right in full throttle. I thought the dolls are quite pretty being so elaborately costumed, but they are a bit much in a cabinet looking over the bed. Great to have Phil talking in a bedroom in Florida again, that's always fun.
Reason behind the tweets didn't occur to me, just the thought of them fighting over it sounded hilarious.

This is literally one of the greatest things I've ever read on here. It totally made my day and snapped me out of my funk lmao. Thanks.
I liked the video. Agreed here were several confusing/disjointed parts, but the mystery is part of the fun with Dan and Phil. As always. (Tbh I'm sure there are explanations.) Anyway, I thought it was very enjoyable; I love these short vloggy AP videos, and Phil seemed in a good mood. The clip of the bugs at the end was very old-school Phil.
(Regarding his need to go boxer-shopping: Maybe he'll buy some new Sonic underwear. His old ones were too small, you know, so he had to throw them away. )
