Just realized that I agree with what alittledizzy said also:
"The best thing anyone can do is look at the big picture situation and make their mind up, imo, instead of going overboard trying to prove or disprove every individual thing as it happens.
But fandom is a very in-the-moment vibe and people often aren't thinking more than a week in the past or a week in the future, everything is evaluated for strictly what it means at the time it happens."
I totally see this and agree with it. Overall I do believe in phan (about 80%). I guess that as jaej articulated, the little things are often so unsubstantiated that I have to roll my eyes.

Here's a pic of them with a fan for that hornblower thing
So that reinforces it was likely a group of people on that boat and it wasn't reserved for just the Deppy Posse in case anyone thought that lol

it all comes down to interpretation, and i think that interpretation in the case of deppy is based on what can be called ''proof'', or at least events where there's not as much space for interpretation and a lot of people agree point heavily to the 'relationship' interpretation, so obviously there's nothing romantic about the niagara falls on their own but: deppy history + niagara falls = possible romantic interpretation, and that's what makes it not-delusional
that being said i can't see them taking any special romantic niagara falls tour or whatever people were implying (after all the website on that tweet wasn't an official description just some recommendations of things for couples to do, it still is hilarious tho)
edit: *points to blueapple_x post*
tl;dr: i agree with dizzy, but i'm procrastinating studying so i wrote a post
also lol at them going to a baseball match, tbh i'm slightly offended as a latina from a football crazy country, why don't u better pay attention to football, you're english ffs, at least the world cup, we kicked england's ass last world cup and i would have been very happy to tweet them about it and rub it on their faces but nah, they don't care

From what I know that Niagara cruise is just the regular one that leaves from the Canadian side, whereas like others mentioned the American side's cruise has blue ponchos and the walking under the falls bit has yellow.. I'm just so frustrated that I picked this week to visit the west coast cause I could've been in Toronto/Niagara when they were..
Either way it's a normal cruise not a romantic chartered one or whatever, but still cute that they went together and adorable photos
I so cannot picture them at a baseball game though it's too weird

In case anyone's interested, Toronto's baseball team is the BJ's (Blue Jays), so there's lots of hilarious I BJ's merch available to themrizzo wrote:Dan and Phil at a baseball game is a concept I'm having a hard time computing. Totally off-topic, but I found myself talking to my roommate about the general concept of how sad it is that they probably won't come back to some of these American cities anytime soon (or ever, for that matter). To which she responded, "Maybe they'll come back and do another tour?" And my thought was... what the hell would they do on another tour? Would they even do one? It's not like they're a musician with a new album. I just can't picture them being able to come up with a brand new production, but perhaps I'm cynical. Thoughts?

It's been hours and I still can't believe they went to a sports event willingly. Who are these guys and what have they done to the real™ Dan and Phil??? (or is it a Try New Things™ kinda thing?)
And seriously now, them going to touristy locations and watching sports is probably the most #relatable thing they have done in months, to me at least. what even lmao

Aww I don't blame them for going to a baseball game. I didn't go to one when I was in America and I regret it, even though I know it wouldn't be that exciting, it just seems so quintessentially American haha. Kind of weird they did it in Canada though, why wouldn't you go to a hockey game while you're there?fakelights wrote:It's been hours and I still can't believe they went to a sports event willingly. I agree. Thank you PewPhan Now I don't need to give views to people just to see Deppy. It's funny that some videos have comments like, 'who did you kill to get these clips?"oqua wrote:Hi, can I just take a moment to publicly declare my undying love for our very own PewPhan?

ahah that makes me laugh they went to see baseball. That's really cool they are visiting and enjoying. I hope they went with someone who knows the sport and could explain though because I remember when I went to see the Blue Jays, i understood nothing of this interminable game and died of boredom lol

It looks like the teams were formed by handing out various design cards and you found your team by finding those who had the same cards. were on the same team so either they magically got assigned the same cards or they purposefully picked two of the same design... both scenarios are hilarious. They really can't be more than six inches apart, clearly.

I wonder if they went to the aquarium too as that's in the entertainment district and right beside the Rogers Centre. I'm happy they're telling us more about their tourist-y adventures. Hopefully they keep this up!
If they don't go to the CN tower then they fail at being tourists lol.

I love that went to a baseball game. I can just imagine them sitting there having no clue what's going on.
In all of these clips they are next to each other, it is both impressive and slightly worrying imo. Of course, they even were on the same team.Ticia wrote:PewPhan grants us again with lostpuppy!Dan (0:23).

Nah, not so much... they'll probably have played rounders at primary school, it's like that with a bigger bat and ball - and gloves(!)SquishPhan wrote:I love that went to a baseball game. I can just imagine them sitting there having no clue what's going on.![]()

So I've been checking updatedphan for a while, and the girl who took a photo with them at the baseball game said they had a bodyguard that wouldn't let anyone get near them, but she was the first one and so got a picture. For some reason, I didn't think they would have bodyguards outside tour-related things (meet and greets, going in and out of the venue, etc).
Do you think they had bodyguards during all the other tourist-y things they did? Cause that would make them actual celebrities imo, not just internet famous. Or was it just at the game because it was crowded and it would have been difficult to escape in case of being cornered by fans?

I'm thinking it was probably just for the game. I haven't heard any other mentions of them bringing their bodyguard along to their regular tourist-y outings.annetamiau wrote:So I've been checking updatedphan for a while, and the girl who took a photo with them at the baseball game said they had a bodyguard that wouldn't let anyone get near them, but she was the first one and so got a picture. I would guess it was just because they were at a stadium filled with people? I think when Dan went to the 1D concert w the Gleam team they had to move seats because fans kept coming up to them (although that was like a handful of famous youtubers as opposed to just the two of them).annetamiau wrote:So I've been checking updatedphan for a while, and the girl who took a photo with them at the baseball game said they had a bodyguard that wouldn't let anyone get near them, but she was the first one and so got a picture. I wonder how many of their subscribers are invested enough to ask for photos/freak out over seeing them. I used to think it was around the 100,000 mark but now I'm thinking higher...

I find it quite interesting that they had body guards at the baseball game. I also assume it is because it was a stadium. But how would D & P be subject to threat besides the occasional crazy fan. Also, I guess never estimate crazy phangirls. Some of these phangirls are cray. I mean when the boys were out shopping they probably don't have a bodyguard. However, makes me wonder if they had a bodyguard at Niagara with them.sunday wrote:I would guess it was just because they were at a stadium filled with people? 1) So are they just gonna tweet about the stuff they do where they run into fans & we'd find out about the thing they did anyway?
2) I'm really not worried about the fact that they spend these conventions largely in each other's proximity. Like the YT community isn't a huge group of friends who all know each other really well and who are just there to have fun. It's businessy, it often appears to be slightly forced and awkward, it's not friend-catch-up-time (it can be, too, but it's not the primary purpose, D&P logically have the same friends because they run in the same circles, and you don't need YT to hang out with the people who live in the same city as you, anyway) - and man, if you consider their rather obvious social awkwardness? Like why would you not face this with someone you can count on & who makes you more comfortable. It just seems perfectly logical to me, and it's not like they're just talking to each other, they're often talking to other people together. Like I like to joke about how they're glued to each other's sides, but really, I see nothing wrong with it.
