I actually laughed at the whisk joke, trow rocks at me! but only the first one, the 'hiding' from the whisk thing Dan did was a bit much for me. But oh well, I was expecting it.
I loved the video, but I like Rosanna and her channel so it might be a bit different from my point of view, her recipes always turn out good for me when I try them out.
I loved how clumsy they are, I think they might edit some moments from their own baking videos because this was so much
I'm very intrigued on why did she stand on their side instead of the middle, every video I've seen of her with guests she stands in the middle, is it because of something she had to stand to not look so short next to them? Did she think we would get good phan moments with them next to each other? Did deppy refuse to separate? who knows.

CONTROVERSIAL OPINION

I actually think Dan's performance was ideal for this type of video. If the goal was to sell himself under 10 minutes to what I'm assuming is a young, tamer audience, then I can see the OTT mannerisms and cheesy jokes appealing to a collection of her viewers; they'll probably think he's "edgy" or some shit.

The video was cute af to me. Though not enough of Phil and Ro flirting while Dan fights for Phil's attention imo.

I genuinely think this was the case, like I don't think Deppy are "OMG SO TALL" but it would look pretty funny if she stood between them.

I'm really surprised, I expected this video to be The Most Awkward Of Them All but somehow it wasn't? I can't usually stand their personas or Dan's standard comments, but idk I actually laughed out loud watching it? Even Rosanna was OK. Though she must have never watched D & P's videos according to that uncontrollable laugh every time Dan said something that was omg so funny and random :DD (like something about his soul torwards the end of the video? sry I'm on mobile)

Maybe I'm just way too tired (with dat sweet 2 h sleep) to care about the awkwardness, or maybe this crossed the line so radically that it was actually OK.
A few of Dan's comments (talking bout Dan all the time, but I just can't remember anything relevant Phil-things from the whole vid - except for that cross thing ) were imo a little bit strange in a good way. You would assume that they did full-on their "yes we're dan and phil we like llamas and lions and never leave the house look at our cat whiskers!!" -brand thing, especially when they had a good oppoturnity to gain new viewers, but instead they had some a little more phandom inside things? (that whisk and something else - sry it's the mobile and not getting enough sleep thing again!) Maybe they are slowly changing their branding? (but FINALLY)

I mean, when was the last time they fully did the brand thing on someone's video etc? (or maybe they've never really been like that and I've just been putting everything together in my head) Of course tab/tinof is still a thing, but.. maybe it's the memorial of their "we r tall nerds who never go outside, phil is weird and i hate everything" brand? A girl can dream )

I had no idea that it was such a big channel! Not only does she have six and a half million subscribers, but there probably isn't that much of an audience overlap, so I totally get why they wanted to make the video now (and you know they like baking and Undertale is supposedly ruining their lives even though they play it for an hour a month)
I liked the video, the doughnuts turned out good and there were a lot of kinda cute or funny moments. But it's not exactly my thing and it'll maybe get one rewatch ever.
Dan's awkward-on-purpose thing was just his way of dealing with the situation, I guess. Maybe it was to stop him being awkward by accident. There was a moment around 1:09 where he just stared at the camera blankly smiling for like 3 seconds and I think he was doing it for a joke but it looks so uncomfortable.
Also Dan's hips at 1:06 vs Phil's total lack of coordination.

Props to the people who predicted the Spider Donuts.

It was an okay video, but very boring and awkward to me. And half the time it was as if I was watching a pre-school teacher teaching kids basic shit and praising them for it. Rosanna was cheering them on while they were putting ingredients into a bowl for God's sake. And who the hell doesn't know how to zest a lemon?? Nice that she got something dairy free into Phil's poor abused lactose intolerant body though. I wonder if she knew and planned that specifically?

Dan was extra with the whisk jokes, they're not even very funny anymore. Although the first one had me crack a smile (while still simultaneously rolling my eyes), dramatically backing away from it against the cupboard was too much. He was a bit much in general for this video actually.

Phil was fine, he seemed to click with Rosanna more than with some other people he has collabed with (Caspar flashbacks) which was nice to see and made video less uncomfortable than it could've been.

Yes, I guess Dan was being purposefully awkward, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it was to attract new viewers. But, sure let's go with that train of thought. It's better than the alternative

Dan just needs to rebrand away from OmGzOutSIdewuHuh?!1???! to the large, beautiful ball of awkward that he actually is. Seriously, I was watching the first 2 mins of that video between my fingers because Dan had me cringing so hard.

Phil was great. Rosanna was much better than I expected based on what I had read here. Very Food Network , imo.

Something to consider is that they barely know the girl, I don't think I've ever heard of them talking to her or something? Maybe they just literally met at vidcon despite arranging things for the collab online, it's to be expected that they might fall back into learned behavior, mannerisms and jokes as a way of dealing with the awkward situation of having to look friendly with someone you don't really know, and I don't fault them for that

lol so true. Everything they've made in their baking videos was edible and nobody died, they just didn't think of the fact that brown + green = gross and aren't always strong at the decorating part. They cook for themselves almost every day, so I find it hard to believe they're actually that shit in the kitchen in general.

I consider a YouTube without soulless collabs like that to be a better place though, so they ain't getting points from me today.

I think it is a very calm and chill video, which is a juxtaposition to Deppy's formula of Dan making loud noise and Phil do something wrong and Dan goes 'Phiiiiil~' on him. I enjoy it nonetheless because it does feel like a kid show where the presenters are all nice, shows me a side of Dan n Phil I've never seen before.

I actually like the ott whisk joke from Dan because it is so predictable(?), that guy tries so hard. Love Phil's rawr. Love their awkwardness and clumsiness and being awkwardly tall.

I also like how the donuts turns out. My fav web is strangely Phil because it is not perfect but it's him, it has a character.

Yay spider doughnuts! I think the reason she was standing to the side was because it would have emphasised how tiny she is standing inbetween those two giants (I look short standing inbetween my dad and bro who are similar heights to them and I'm 5'8 so she would look minute) plus I think she was on a box or stool so they'd have been bumping into her way more than to the side (let's face it, I'm surprised Phil didn't topple her off whatever she was standing on about 8 times anyway ) Dan was a little bit exaggerated, but I'd say that was prob the start of his illness given his voice and if he was feeling a bit groggy he's probably gone a bit OTT to compensate feeling a bit crappy. Phil was just adorable as always, I swear I haven't watched anything where that man hasn't made me just want to hug him.

This baking video was too short and too calm for me...?
I mean, Dan and Phil's baking videos are like a wild ride, so much happen, so many comments and bants. They tried do that in this video too, but you can see, how they needed to stop themselves sometimes.
And when they are alone, they try so hard to be good at baking - this is the most fun part to watch, imho, because they are always so proud of themselves, and now we see this really talented girl with perfect decorations and stuff...
But i enjoyed this video, after all, i like the editing. And i laughed so hard, when i saw the height diffrence.

After watching the video for the 10th time (I know I am such a trash ) and reading the comments on the video, It started to grow on me. First, I'm starting to like Ro. She's such a pro with collabs. I mean she obviously didn't have the best chemistry with them but she managed despite how awkward Deppy were. Forget Phan. I kinda ship Phil and Ro. But Phil always tend to work better with girls. Second, the lighting of the video was too bright. Phil's skin color matched with the cupboards. Third, I'm not sure how uncomfortable Dan was but he was so hyper. Was he on something???!!! Last, most of those who know Dan and Phil but were not fans hate them or the phandom. I'm not sure but it seemed that the phandom's intensity prevents new subs.

I have lots to catch up on but this was cringe but not as cringe as I expected it to be. I think Rosanna toned down the Umbridge a bit which was a nice change (tbf I don't know if she tones it down a lot in other collabs, I couldn't get through more than about 2 minutes total of her other videos) and I appreciated all their awkward jokes that went right over her head (ha! see what I did there!). I couldn't stop laughing at the height difference. They were literally towering over her. I think it'd been a bit less awkward if she was in the middle? But I'm glad they were next to eachother I agree with the easier-to-gif theory Anonymousse

That lighting though. They were so blown out I'm surprised they weren't translucent.
