I'm glad he's feeling more comfortable expressing himself (2018 is looking up! ) this was a great vid, a little vague at times but funny and honest worth the wait, even if it was a bit short!

i'm glad dan's being more open about his mental health and apparently also sexuality too - every time he mentions sex in a video i remember how rarely it's a topic he brings up, especially when it's very explicitly male attraction.

my first reaction to that line, honestly. i'm interested to see what this means in terms of his content-- he was so vague it's difficult to know. i'd like to think that him being so open about the queer content he's been enjoying is part of it (although i feel like that's been a steadily building trend for a while now). i liked the video, and i'm always up for dan being self-reflective, but i really want his next one to be a storytelling/sketch type video. i miss those.

Dan did that. He basically confirmed in a video that he's having Sex on a regular basis and that he also really likes to give blowjobs.
I'm just so proud of him, he came so far and he's become so open and so much more comfortable with himself, both in regards of mental health and sexuality it's so beautiful to witness.
(Also I deadass thought "Is this the moment? Is Dan ready to officially come out of the closet?" when I saw the title and then he started talking about Sex in present tense and despite my initial reaction to the title i did NOT expect that.)

I need to watch the video a couple more times but...wow.

I'm not sure what category to put this type of video in, but it definitely suits Dan

Exactly the same as I was just about to post! I just watched it twice and contemplating life is an understatement of a dense topic but damn that was very specific.
LOVED the editing, a very quick-fire comedy style.

It's weird calling it a "Coming Out" video, yet this description works for me. The only not-vague thing in that video was the multiple (gay) sex mentions.

Also (since I haven't seen it mentioned yet), credit to Dan for that cereal raspberry clown thing. That was pretty damn creative and unexpected.

The excitment of that and the titillation of whether he'd reveal it was Phil's dick were real--but I was left wanting to hear more about what small steps he was taking to live his truth.

Honestly, this video was super vague, but it might've been more vague for me because I kept expecting him to go "so, while we're on the topic of living my truth, let me get this out of the way" and then finally confirm, idk, something? Being gay, bi, dating phil, dating anyone else, just. Anything. It just felt to me like he was constantly on the verge of saying something important and then backing away again. I know there's all the sucking dick jokes (which I suppose is something at least) but I kept expecting him to full out say 'I'm gay' or whatever.

I'm going to need to rewatch it now that the shock value is gone and I can actually pay more attention to what he's saying.

I need to say that I find it annoying or something else on a level I don't even have words for that it takes (relatively) explicit references to sex including another person's dick to make people think 'oh so he was serious this whole time' - all the other things weren't enough? Including dudes in his Tinder vid and years of (relatively) less explicit mentions of dudes wasn't enough? He needs to say 'I love dick in my mouth' for people to maybe finally accept 'oh he likes dick' - I mean if spelling that out is him living his truth, GO DAN, but omg I'm already tired at everything.
