Like I get that he might have been really jetlagged and therefore got his thoughts jumbled up, but it's just so frustrating to me, it shouldn't be hard to retell a story you've supposedly lived through without getting lost in it. And like, even lie to me for the sake of storytelling, but do it well? Ugh. I should go to sleep, I've never felt grumpy after an AP video, today is a strange day.

His phone wasn't working but yet he used it to try and call Dan to wake him up.... if an app isn't working then you delete it and reinstall it (or you know, he could have booked the uber on his macbook).
The story was also very strange to me too. He said he locked up, but then couldn't use the keys he apparently just locked up with to get back into the house.
In my mind, it just seems like he wanted to tell a long winded, over exaggerated story just for a bit of tour spon.

ps. i have packed more underwear for my 5 day trip to nyc than he did for the full 11 weeks.

Just want to say I love his latest video this is why I'm never tired of him, he is an amazing story teller. This is the most Dan-mentioned video in an AP vlog. Ok now I need to go back and marathon this thread

Like I was saying a few pages back, I was so convinced they'd just get single bunks because of the shitstorm which would inevitably ensue from getting one with a double room. But then everyone was saying how uncomfortable that would be and someone (sorry I forget who) mentioned a standard bunk length in a bus is 74 inches which is 6'2 so basically shorter than them and I did then think jesus that's a lot of discomfort to go through for so long just to have to avoid a difficult explanation for a double room.

Anyway it seems I was incorrect and they've gone for the double. Which makes me happy - for their comfort and just that they can actually sleep together (not in the dirty sense but... )

I imagine it wasn't an easy decision for them and maybe they went for the double and sort of agreed 'we'll just have to say something so they don't all go mental'

I'm usually such a pessimist but all I saw from those tweets were doubleroomdoubleroomdoubleroom

Anyway the Phil vid - liked it. May sound weird but the fact it was filmed in Florida was really a plus point for me. I was starting to think I'd feel very disconnected from them if all we were getting was perfilmed vids from their flat when they're off doing amazing things in America so having an up to date vid was lovely.

Yeah there are a few oddities to the logic of the story but nothing too outlandish to me. Probably more from keeping out boring details rather than it being completely fabricated or altered. The only thing I would say to those wondering why he had to wake Dan back up minutes later is, he probably didn't actually wake Dan up to check his phone. Probs just checked it himself while Dan was asleep.

Oh and to add my two cents to necklace gate - for me that's deffo a mic. Like, you can see it. Even though I would cream my pants over Phil wearing a long chain, regardless of what was on the end of it.

i liked phil's video. it's nice to get a little update with what's been going on in florida and i enjoy his story videos. it was nothing too special but for me that was expected due to the timing.

the dolls are creepy af, i remember as a child my nan had a bunch of the same ones and they always spooked me out.

i'm glad were getting videos filmed in america as well as the ones prefilmed back in england.

just adding my irrelevant thoughts to the bedroom tweets before it all blows over:

i'm 110% anti-phan (in the sense that i 110% don't believe they're anything more than platonic friends - very, very close friends, yes, but platonic nonetheless) and i do find it quite weird they did that tweet set up

it is stuff like that that makes me doubt them idek, i guess after years of constant speculation it'd do something to them/their logic idek

moving on, i thought phil's video was v cute and i most definitely agree that dolls are creepy af

Same, expect I'm usually phanagnostic af, but that tweet made me lean a little further towards the phan side of things. Probably doesn't help that I watched the Japan haul last nite.

Edit: re tourbus, bedroom tweets etc I'm leaning towards the idea of them sharing a double room, be that as a couple or platonic idc, because they are just way too tall for bunks and having a double bed each would just cost a bunch more money on bus hire and take up extra room.. very interested to see whether we'll get any footage of inside the bus!

im all for the face if it means he at least feels confident enough that it shows in a photo. bad angle + not looking horrified or uncomfortable is preferable to looking dead in the eyes to me

I enjoyed Phil's vignette vidlet, especially the 'nature!nature!' shots and little impressions but, unpopular opinion: those dolls ain't that creepy. They look like something someone's aunt collects from New Orleans Mardi Gras. Phil you watch too many horror films

I know we've sort of moved on from the tweet discussion, but I found the tweets... not really strange. I've sort of perceived them as ignoring the phan rumours in order to move on from them, seeing as they keep getting new viewers all the time that don't know about it at all. It's odd that they would bring attention to it like that, which is why I don't see it as "WE'RE SLEEPING IN DIFFERENT BEDS YOU GUISE!!!!1!1!" but as "I have to tweet a few times a day in order to stay in touch with my viewers. Look, here's a cute and funny tweet with my p-l-a-t-o-n-i-c friend!"

Side note: Is there a way that the # of moving smileys on the post page could be reduced? I think the animated ones are slowing things down, and I had to reload this page a couple times in order to post this. If a few of them could just be moved to the "view more smileys" thingy, that'd be great. If nobody else is having this problem, then nevermind.

I don't think I've ever had this problem, but the emoticons on the post page were getting pretty numerous. So I moved some to the "View more smilies" section. Please let me know if you wish for some of the smilies to be back on the main page. I tried to pick the most-used animated ones, but I could have been wrong in some judgements. Anyway, let me know if anyone else has had this problem and/or if this change helps.
