Hi! De-lurking to post this tweet here because I thought it was interesting. I did a little search and didn't see anything about this...who is Rosie? Am I just out of the loop or did I miss out on #rosiegate back in January of last year when Phil tweeted this? It does look an awful lot like Dan. Sorry in advance if this was already researched, but thought there was no harm in asking!

Hmmm..... I've never seen that tweet before. It's hard to say that looks like Dan though since all we see are the forearms. The black is obviously something Dan would wear.

Why would Phil delete this perfectly innocent tweet with his friend called Rosie in it?

And why not show "Rosie's" face? I imagine if your friend was taking a picture of you, but you didn't want people to see you for whatever, you would just tell them not to take a picture instead of just getting some of the upper half of your body. Seriously wtf

i don't see the reply anymore, either. if that is rosie (who is rosie?), then why delete it? phandom is going to think what we want to think anyway. it's time for those savvy members to enlarge the photo, brighten it, and do what you do to figure this out. just a quick zoom in makes me think it's dan, though, something about the forearm and the fit of the jumper and the neckline, but who knows? also, the dinner and the whole dessert photo feels like a very deppy thing imo. and the table looks like one for a group, too.

That video was something else. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do and I kind of forgot how weird these April Fool's videos are. Satanic!Dan is amazing but my favourite thing about this is Phil's delivery of all those weird lines. Such a stark contrast to his usual videos which is probably what makes it so awesome.

Just to confirm there was no rosiegate. Dan discussed the whole event on his liveshow. Him and Phil were spotted out and about in Covent Garden which is where that photo was taken. They went with some of their management/book people/tour people (Rosie) for afternoon tea to have a business meeting regarding tour stuff. People originally thought Phil has gone alone until Dan confirmed that he was was with them as he actually took the photo Phil tweeted, plus as I mentioned they were spotted together by a fan.

So I was met with a very appropriate number of replies when I clicked on this thread a couple hours ago

I definitely couldn't think of a better ending to this trilogy. As pretty much everyone else has said, comedic horror seems to fit them well and I would love to see them do more videos like this

It makes me think that they should start another channel with no intended direction, where they can feel free to upload any type of video they please. They appear to enjoy making videos together much more than alone, so it would give them a platform to do so outside of dapg where they are restricted to gaming related content. Maybe Dan wouldn't feel so much pressure to make consistent "quality content" if he had a fresh start and could adopt the mentality that the channel as a whole would have no standards, allowing for anything from silly pointless videos, to deep artsy videos or wherever their creativity may take them. It could help Phil explore more outside of the AP persona as well, maybe return to some of the styles of videos he liked making in the past and take on some new ideas, as I imagine loads of unused concepts have passed through that mind of his over the years. It also means they could expand their audience while keeping their current viewers, since a lot of people seem to enjoy the different content but can stick to deppy's regular stuff if they don't. There are probably a bunch of other pros and cons I haven't named, but on first thought, a new channel seems like it would be a positive addition for everybody.

In other words, I've always been certain they could make amazing short films, series, etc. and I'm ready for it whenever they are

I completely ignored the banner at first, as I could see in the corner of my eye that it was an ad and my eyes naturally averted from it, as though I had a Doctor Who-esque perception filter. Very well-made

I'm very happy with the final DAPC video. Even if they hadn't hinted as much as possible with the descriptions/About section that it was the end, the ending of the video would be enough to heavily imply it was the conclusion, but they had to make it obvious enough so nobody would hype it up for next year. It felt like they tried hard to bring the series some obvious closure so they could safely abandon the project without feeling pressured to continue. The lack of memeable quotes seemed deliberate (though the phandom will always find a way... soft and neat is such a stretch), and Dan's incomplete "don't cry..." at the end definitely felt like he was sending a message. 1) This is the end (or is it?), 2) Quit it with the craft memes.

There's still a possibility they surprise us with a DAPC video next year and have it set in hell, but that really would be beating a dead horse at that point. Maybe they should make their own horror sketches around Halloween instead. I'm sure they'd be great.

I'm not generally someone who foists my interests onto my friends but I've made three different people watch the crafts video today, I'm that into it. I don't even want to get my hopes up that Phil's project (wherever those creative juices that were keeping him up at night are going) might involve some kind of Buffy-esque mix of horror and comedy but it would pretty much make my year if it was.

Speaking of Buffy: Hazel Hayes did a video on how Buffy influenced her, and it's actually really good. I'd love to see Phil making something similar. I have no doubt that show influenced Phil as well.

Loved how it furthered the theme set in the last two videos and how it tied everything together in a nicely creepy, disturbing and entertaining way. I'd just be repeating what everyone else has already said about it at this point, but I agree that I'd love to see a joint project of some type that allowed them to venture beyond the established themes of their respective channels into something else along the lines of more experimental, darkly humorous vibes like this. Or anything else really, as a means of introducing their audience to something beyond the expected norm, but still within the realms of what viewers would watch and enjoy and at the same time allow them room to (dare I say it?) try new things.

I feel like at this point, they wouldn't exactly have time (or motivation) to have another collab channel. They already have DAPG, which I personally see as the outlet where Dan can release content and not care for the quality threshold, and phil can be less kid-friendly. That in itself saw some rough patches so I wouldn't hold my breath for another collab channel (tho AP is basically a collab channel now).

dizzy the horror movie themed project would be brilliant. Hell, me and 000dia000 even contemplated a show starring them as roommates where phil is secretly a serial killer and dan has no idea. Phil really really suits dark ironic humor, strangely more than dan (whos known for it), and his delivery was amazingly spot on. I was rewatching and noticed that he didn't crack a smile, not even in that weird rant he went on about the importance of craft (i would be dying of laughter ). Also the way he carried himself throughout the video, being overly expressive in some points like when he's looking at the "dead stars" and does a huge smile, or his inflection when dans painting him with a potato gave me chills. So anything slightly horror themed would excite me to no ends.

Also looks like the Australia trip is coming and they also have the vacation to HK (and japhan ) and playlist so theyre probably going to be busy this week with those and probably prefilming!

Okay I was not expecting much with the new Dan and Phil crafts video but that was SO GOOD. I live for twisted shit like this lmao. The whole thing was SO David Lynch to the point where I'd be shocked if it wasn't lowkey inspired by the style of his movies (but obviously in a more funny way hahaha!) I'd actually be surprised in general if Phil didn't know/like him since he's super into horror and they have a very similar brand of "weird" (I'm talking about Phils darker weird stuff in the past more than his usual weird stuff, which I also love)
