Having 'don't kiss them' in the pre-M&G email is pretty smart on their part. They meet so many excited people, people can have such different social norms, and explicit boundaries are just generally good. Now I'm super curious what else VIP fans are told in the email. (Or was it an email that was literally just that?)

That first pic is amazing for about 50 reasons, one of which is they were recreating this artwork: And Dan and Phil's version... I love that as a standard Phil is just like: hi yes i am the one who hugs this is my job come to me

Also their hands. Also dear god Phil's pens are multiplying must he breed everything?

Awwwwww that sloth recreation pic is so cute. Reminds me of my m&g in Leeds when I asked if I could have individual pics and I asked if they each minded taking my pic with the other and they were like, oh no we’re absolutely fine with that and didn’t make me feel like a bother at all.

And I had thought of an equally non-huggy pic idea for Phil as I’d had for Dan and I suddenly had this moment of realisation where Phil was already hugging me and waiting for Dan to load my cameraapp and he gave me a squeeze. Phil is so SO sweet. I think most people here know I’m a Dangirl but I have so much love for Phil and how he appreciates people and will just hug people and squeeze them, he’s such a sweet sweet person. I’m not a bit hugger really but I did appreciate it, he gives lovely hugs. He didn’t even wait for me to reach for him or to hug him first lol.

Ah. Loving seeing the m&g pics.

Dan’s smile at the end of that clip ;) and Phil’s high-pitched “bih!” They’re so cheeky, I love it. Quiff going stronger than ever too. They’re both looking gorgeous.

Loving the ig stories and m&g photos today. I hadn’t checked the forum in a while and then bam, loads of things. Only one more UK show after today! It feels like it’s been May forever, but otherwise it has gone pretty fast.

dancy wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 2:31 pm I'm hoping they'll do a live show on that app sometime soon. The IG stories are lovely but I'd really like to hear how the tour has been for them thus far.
Catallena wrote: Fri May 25, 2018 2:56 pm I'm curious about Rize as well, even though I don't really like the idea of migrating to the next YouNow owned flop app. But it's odd that there hasn't been any mention yet.
I noticed that the few consecutive "no-show" days they have during the USA leg of the tour are in New York (16-18 July) - where the YouNow/Rize office is - wonder if they'll be popping in then, or if that's purely coincidental.

I've been using Rize over the past week or so, and it's REALLY quiet on there atm (still in beta). I'm curious to see how much, if at all, it changes their liveshows. The main functionality of the app seems to be based around inviting others to chat live (and viewers chatting in their own groups together) which is something they've never really done before. I'm finding it hard to imagine them wanting to chat live with many people, other than each other, so I'm interested to see how they'll use it. I hope they do a liveshow soon too - on any platform - it'd be really nice to hear from them as they come to the end of the UK shows before they fly off for Europe. Can't believe we're nearly 1/5 of the way through the tour already!

Hey so completely off topic but idk where else I can ask this: do any of y'all know a video from like 2011-ish where dnp are opening packages or smth (it had the same vibe as the po-box videos they used to do). I think they were sitting on the floor, and at the end of the video dan left to go get a taxi and that's the only thing I remember from the vid. do any of y'all know which one I'm talking about? I just got a random flashback to this video this morning and now I rlly wanna find it lmao.

It's so weird that you should ask this bc I was literally watching that video for the first time this week because I saw it giffed on tumblr and I hadn't seen it before lol.

After that I remember looking at Dan when he wasn't looking at me anymore and being amazed by how dark his eyes were. The next thing I remember is me offering Phil the card I wanted to get signed, and then Dan asked if I wanted a picture, to which I replied by asking if I could get one with my friends, and then one of them asked where my friends were. Then I gestured my friends over, and either Dan or Phil told me to get in the middle and then sparkle's hat was in my face and Dan told a security(?) guy to take the picture because his own arms wouldn't be long enough.

I'm not sure why everyone's laughing in the pictures because my mind was hazy with panic, but I think it might be because the guy taking the photos was struggling with my phone case, but for all I know, someone else might've said something funny. When the picture had been taken, Dan said something about awkward peace signs, and then I started to run away, but Phil called me back because I'd forgotten the card I'd had them sign.

The show itself was great. We had front-row seats, and the fact that my seat was the furthest from the centre (out of my friends) meant that I was sitting right across from where Dan was standing for the majority of the show. It gave me some good nostril angles of him, and it was also very apparent to me that he was wearing the so-called nipple shirt...

I can confirm you definitely shook hands with Dan because it was adorable. We were watching you meet them and I was fawning over how cute and sincere your M&G was. I also wish to apologise for the ridiculous nature of my lion hat, and how bloody indecent I am in the picture. In hindsight I really should've stood in front of Dan.... :facepalm2:

I THINK we were laughing because the guy got confused by your phone, and also because @thephandommenace said something like 'down boy' re: the awkward peace sign

I ALSO wish to confirm that I (sat pretty much dead centre) am now far too acquainted with Dan Howells right nipple. (also to the person sat in, I think B 16, you were the sweetest and I wish I'd got your social media - and thank you for the offer of haribo)

and finally, I just want to add that not only did I see Dans stubble IRL (10/10) but a few days after the meet and greet I realised that I'd also seen fucking heart-eyes Howell in live action when I was talking to Phil and wish to invite the entirety of IDB to my funeral.

I also wish to add that I bought a denim jacket from the show and it was damaged. I emailed their tour address and told them about it (With pictures) and Martyn replied saying they'd send a replacement. Which i'm genuinely impressed with, I thought because it was tour merch that I wouldn't get a replacement so I'm really happy about that. I've given the spare to my girlfriend, and she's pretty happy with it, even with the damage.

More on-topic -

I'm starting to feel pre-hyped for a new Dan video. I would like one. I dont need one but I would love him to do a continuation in the vein of 'Trying To Live My Truth' . Though I would also love another ISG (I swear i'm the only person who actually likes those, I avoided the last one for 3 months because i'd heard it was shit and I actually really liked it?). But I'm also back to completely projecting my own journey of self-discovery onto Dan so it would be cool for him to validate that. Or make a video on clothes because I'm really into fashion for the first time ever rn and I get more than a small amount of influence from Dan (And Safiya Nygaard) and I'm trying to re-invent my wardrobe for summer and could seriously do with some inspiration.

I just have to say I love hearing about everyone's experiences with Dan and Phil and appreciate everyone who shares because it helps with my own anxiety about meeting them in August. I had my first stress dream about it last night where I got an email that canes and wheelchairs were prohibited in the VIP and I was panicked lol.

And I adore Dan's instastory where he just looks so fond of Phil and happy. And I just really hope they're having the time of their life on this tour.

Hey oh wow what a night(mare)! Our coach was massively delayed with the driver having to take a 45 minute break half way from Bristol to Cardiff so we ended up missing the first 20 minutes of the show
A few thoughts about the show -
So we were sat right at the very back and i just felt like we couldnt really see? Like the set was quite small for the motorpoint arena (im not sure about how people have felt about the other venues) I thought there might be bigger screens so we might be able to see their faces a bit more and details of props on the stage? I also thought the show was SO loud, but i couldnt really hear what was being said half the time? I think if i didnt know so much through spoilers, i would have had a real hard time knowing what was going on! Am i the only one that had problems? I think as we were running late and missed the beginning, i got off to a bad start so i'm not sure if it almost tainted it a little for me

I can definitely say that I'm working on the audio right now and it sounds like this venue was not at all set up for a show like this. They're next to impossible to hear, which hasn't been the case at any other venue besides one. And at the other bad venue it was a sound system issue, whereas this place just felt massively too big and echo-y for Dan and Phil.

I'm sure @missemma will have more thoughts to share but she also tweeted this, which seems to back up the idea that this particular venue just seemed like a bad choice.

Question for people who have been to more than one ii show...would you recommend seeing it multiple times? I have two shows about the same distance from me and am debating whether or not to get tickets to a second show. Are there enough changes each time for it to feel like a different show? Thanks!!!

Came up from Bristol too and to make sure that didn’t happen to me I came down on the Thursday when I my coach was also delayed.
Problems seeing and hearing the show yes I did have that. I was sat on the left side of the stage so I could hear more than one speaker. I could hear the one that was for the back of the stage and it was delayed so the whole show I could hear a annoying echo. I have pretty good eyesight but bloody hell I couldn’t tell you what either of them look like really in person coz I could just make out that they had eyes and a mouth. Again with the sound because it was too loud I also had trouble hearing what they were saying, like with the rap I could only read the parts on the screen that was written so on the second half of the rap I couldn’t tell you a thing Phil said coz there was no words on the screen. I don’t know anyone else’s opinion on the show I’ve avoided actually opinions but I personally felt like the ending saved it for me. I think there was a few things that they needed to go a step more and somethings they didn’t really need at all. The second half was definitely better but there was too many things that ruined my experience a bit like the sound and actually being able to seeing the show. This is me being a bit picky but when it came to the intermission it all seemed random. They just said that one of them was gonna be picked which do we like better dan or Phil then the lights went up and everyone guessed it was a break people in front of me thoughts it was the end of the show and was questioning if that was it. No one was told how long it was for so it was a bit of a shock when dan came back on stage when people were still missing to go to the bathroom or get drinks. It was a great experience over all but I can’t help but wonder if I would of had a better time at a smaller venue I would go again I had a fun time I’m sad the one and only time I’d be able to seem them in person couldn’t have been better

Having seen it quite a few times now, I would of course say yes. I’ve seen shows with quieter audiences where the atmosphere wasn’t so energetic, and then I saw Leeds which was a different atmosphere altogether and so amazing and small and intimate.

Understandably, many don’t have the opportunity to see it multiple times or even one time, but if you’re fortunate enough to have the opportunity I would definitely recommend it.

Things I have discovered from IG stories: the couch in the background of their gaming videos is actually brown, not black.

Mind. Blown.

I'm really loving that they're going home at every chance they have, I really don't think it's the most comfortable option to travel back and forward so much but for some reason it makes me really happy?? I'm also very glad that they keep filming and I sure hope there's a video tonight (and given the fact that since tour started they've uploaded every single time I was out and I have a dinner tonight, the chances are high)

Dan looks super cute and comfy and content in that ig story, also a bit creepy but mostly content and that makes me smile. I love that they keep wearing their merch, kings of #spon. I hope Phil posts something as well, I keep missing their faces
Will probably never be over the BONCAS and the beauty of Phil Lester.

@BSV totally agree with your post. I enjoyed the show however the venue size and layout made it impersonal for me. Out of all the shows I’ve seen so far this would be my least favourite. Their stage set up was too small for the huge stage plus people who weren’t in the central block wouldn’t have been able to see the screens either side. If I had only been going to one show I would have been fairly disappointed.

I would definitely recommend seeing it more than once. Even though they’ve used a lot of the same fan questions (some have been exactly the same night after night) and the show is 99% the same each night, there are bits you may have missed the first time round
also I’ve now seen both Dan and Phil on the wheel of doom which I wouldn’t have seen had I only been once.
I must say though, I also love to travel so the show isn’t just the reasons I’ve been to a few of them. Me and the girls have had such a laugh this past week, seeing the show was just one small part of our week away! I’m always up for traveling to places to see things I enjoy.

I think it's just whatever filter he's using. A few of the filters instagram has for stories cast a warmer, brown tone
