I mean, I get it, we were all cynical, but you gotta have hope in this world for these things to happen.

The best part of this is watching the people who are turned off from it now that it is actually gay instead of just flirting gay who are suddenly disgusted with it. What's wrong, can't handle an actual supportive loving relationship between two men? Unfollowing people feels so good at times like this. They just come out of the woodwork.

Agreed.
D&P strike me as very boring normal people about certain things that would do a 'traditional' wedding (not out of faith in tradition, just 'proper' I guess?). They might have changed opinions on certain things since 2013, especially if their personal/romantic relationships changed in any way (which I believe they have). That's an interesting find! (also I miss radioshow).

Wow, just think of all the possible designs for a wedding. I'm sure they'd have plenty of ideas and maybe hire a great wedding planner, but the phandom would do love it for them, goodness knows what everyone would come up with.

I have days where I really believe they are a happy and loving couple then I have days where I have doubts. All I know is that In my 33 years of life I don't know anyone who looks at someone the way Dan looks at Phil. Not even my parents.

My guess? Because they both genuinely wanted a space that was their own to escape to sometimes, since these are not two people who typically go out without each other - and because it gives them each a very customized filming place that fits their personalities.

It must be extremely stressful having to keep up the pretense of not being together. I don't know how they have managed it. Makes me sad for them.

I don't see any need for being sad for them. No doubt they're open (with whatever there is to be open about) in their private lives with close friends/family. They don't want certain areas of their lives available to the public and they've mostly managed to maintain the privacy they obviously want in those areas, soo..? I'm sad for me not having all the details I want that are ultimately unnecessary to my life and not actually any of my business. They seem happy and comfortable with what they've got going on, don't think they need any pity.

Look at it less like a pretense and more like keeping what is important to them private. By staying private about the relationship they don't ever have to directly address all this overwhelming fan discussion and speculation. It also keeps the conversation from being about 'omg I bet they break up soon' which usually happens for most couples. If they were out there would be a whole new set of expectations and responsibilities placed on them.

(I mean, I'm still sure it's stressful, I just think that it's a decision they've made - and continuously make - because the opposite would be more stressful.)

I guess I just want them to be happy. Together or not. I don't think we'll ever know the truth if I'm honest and I'm ok with that. But speculating is fun and it gives me the feels lol.
