You bunch of miserly so & so's! :P

TATINOF EU.. Yes pls. I see it running similar to the UK tour - they'll travel between home and venues, not all in one big trip, so they can probably schedule other things in and around it muuuuuuch more easily that the monstrous, seemingly never-fucking-ending behemoth that was the N. American tour.

Heyo!
I just watched Phil DeFranco's new video about some potentially HUGE YouTube changes.
(Vid under spoiler)
I was wondering what you think this new update would bring. Do you think Deppy will use it? Is this where some documentary stuff would go? I personally think they might ignore it altogether but if they don't, it could be a great way to get more views.

I can't believe tatinof aus is already over, the time has gone super quick, much quicker than America! I think for me it has something to do with the timezone as the m&gs were always in the morning when I was getting ready for work, rather than being overnight.

Loving their matching hats, they go well with the sunglasses. What will they have for Europe? Tatinof socks.

I enjoyed a lot reading people's experiences of how they perceived 's body language live. Also great :ASs: compilation!

Yes, radio shows are very very missed! :sobs:

[offtopic]Re: this tweet from 4 days ago: has Dan mentioned/given any signs of his gender identity being possibly fluid/not cis before? [/offtopic]
[offtopic][/offtopic]Yes, it's most likely "it's not that deep" as he was talking about liking Frank Ocean's new album. And yes, he tweeted this on the notable day of wearing nail polish and a certain part of the phandom freaked out, so it sounds a lot like "leave me alone, stop speculating". But it still stood out to me that he mentioned gender among other things.

There are multiple examples of Dan being not stereotypically 'masculine', be it his body language, fashion choices, the way of he speaks, etc. He called himself Lara at the age of 6. There were forever memeable Becky and Jessica (clearly invented characters), 'tall lesbian' (meme, kinda-problematic). He called himself a "sexually ambiguous nerd" (probably meaning the way he appears to other people). But there were also several times he prefaced his videos saying something like "I'm a guy even if it may come as surprise to some of you haha" (which I unhelpfully can't find timestamps for). I believe he said something similar in liveshows too.

Any more recent examples you may have noticed of how he feels about his gender identity?
Maybe I'm reaching too much.

It wouldn't surprise me if they just tested it out. Kinda like with insta stories a few weeks ago. Honestly, as long as the posting photos and videos isn't a part of just YouTube red, I'm actually ok with this new thing. It doesn't sound like a bad idea. But like Phil defranco said, how is this gonna work for the creators not wanting to spam people and the monitoring will need to be worked out for sure.

I really don't think any of that means anything. Unlike with something like his sexuality, there's really no basis to say Dan's not cis. Things like body language, fashion, the way he speaks, etc. really don't (or, shouldn't, at least) dictate gender. Besides that, he's called himself a guy multiple times, so there's really no reason to believe he's anything but. Also, about the whole "sexually ambiguous" thing, didn't he mean his sexuality? Or not even that?

I agree with you, I always found Dan's mentions of gender rather interesting, particularly that he remarks on his own femininity quite often. Someone on his forum proposed that when Dan mentioned in his collab with Louise that he was a "sexually amphibious ambiguous nerd" he was actually referring to his sex (gender) rather than sexuality, it can be interpreted either way.
In DITL in London @7.29 Dan admires a dress and says "sometimes I wish I was a girl"
(interestingly Phil responds "That's a bit weird, Dan" but I digress, interesting topic though, especially considering Phil's mother mentioned in his video with her that him as a small child used to try on women's clothing but his parents wouldn't allow him because he was a boy and Phil was embarrassed by the story)
While it's an interesting topic alright I don't think there's much to go by. Personally I think just based around Dan's choice of clothing (unisex items, embellishments, accessories on clothing like zips, etc) that he likes expressing his feminine side and being fluid, but I'm not sure Dan would think too much about it because there is little else to go on besides these videos and what you mentioned.
EDIT: Also this video @.32

he mentions that he look like a strangely beautiful woman

Thanks for sharing your perspective on gender and providing more examples, 000dia000 and anathema. I agree that it might just be that Dan is comfortable with his 'feminine' side. Maybe he doesn't like labels re: gender either judging from his diss track.

dan changed his header to this and it's cute he also liked one about his nails and he liked swc's picture of his nails

the fact that he never posted a picture (thus far) of the nails is interesting, only those who kept up with the meet ups/tumblr/twitter etc would have seen them - aka/ not him directly showing it to any of his audience

Since it's kinda slow today, just wanted to bring this up. If, however, this has been discussed before, then I'm absolutely sorry in advance and would like to request a mod to just transfer this where it's appropriate. It's just that I've seen the original prank vid a lot of times and gifs of this moment but I've never connected the black duvet as Dan's until I saw this post. Just asking for your thoughts/opinions in general?

I spent way too long on this game after the last video, it's taking a lot of restraint to not have another go right now
A bit confused as to how they filmed this ages ago and only just decided to upload it, but I loved the video cause I love watching them working it out and Dan was so adorably proud of Phil
Also, can we talk about how Dan was an editor on the lost wiki?

Edit: and is it just me that's going to rewatch all the fast forwarded montages slowed down to see them redoing all the questions?

Wow judging by their chairs, this vid was filmed a while ago.

I live for giggly Phan, Dan being proud of Phil (I seriously replayed that moment a lot of times), that Phil Lester! You are a genius! bit, him shaking Phil was cute, that flash of white (his underwear perhaps? Sorry) when Phil stood up, Phil in shorts. Basically that video was cute af! And I'm a happy little
