I don't mind the bed tweet this time, actually. The first tweets were... whatever, but I'm actually glad they've kind of resolved that 'storyline', if you will. It would have been odd to claim that they fought over beds and then not say who won, if they were going to make an issue out of it. They would still have been better off just not mentioning it at all, but hopefully this'll be the end of it!

After reading your guys' posts I am just imagining Dan being cramped up in a tiny bunk, not being able to stretch out because he's too tall, lonely and without WiFi or TV, and then there's Phil, stretched out on his queen bed watching Buffy and eating popcorn with some nice AC to keep him cool.

Maybe what WE believe isn't that important. Maybe it's more important that possible journalists who research them don't get too suspicious. As long as those don't spend enough time on their research to find out why the phandom doesn't believe it, they're fine.
And making a public statement that suggests they don't share a bed would probably discourage a journalist on the hunt for some secret relationship

I agree with others who have said even as platonic friends them sharing a room makes sense. They are both too tall to be comfortable in bunks and a queen bed each while the tour crew (including Martyn and Cornelia) squeeze into bunks seems like overkill. And lets face it they seem perfectly content to be forever in each others company so why not just share with one another?

While I totally get why they'd lie if they are sharing if they are lying I do wonder if they are actually planning on doing a liveshow off the bus at some point and risk being caught out by some fan managing to track down their exact bus by some particular wood panel in background (or something).
And as they are probably only going to do the bare minimum live-shows they have to do they could just do them whenever they stop off at hotels and claim the buses wifi is too poor for younow.

Well they really blew the bed thing out of proprotion by bringing attention to it but i think it's because of the japhan bedgate. We literally tracked down the hotel and got the blueprints after seeing the DITL and thinking they shared. Yea, two platonic people could share a bed but we weren't thinking that a mere year ago when we were screaming phan is real cuz they shared a bed in Japan.

I think DP are lab rats that have been conditioned to believe that anything they do together hints at phan being real. I mean I'm guilty of this only because I think they're together but still, if they are trying to hide this relationship they are doing their best at not hinting at ANYTHING!

On the other hand there have been too many slip-ups over the years and too much overcompensation for us to be the crazy ones so who is it?? Anyway if there was no-homo howell there is now no-bed sharing lester

i agree with everyone ion thinking its laughable that tall-ass Dan Howell would sleep on a bunk after platonic bro Philly won a game of rock-paper scissors these boys are so amusing sometimes with their excuses.

I think you guys bring a good point about them trying to brush away journalists but other reasons I can think of for them becoming so anti-phan is:

1) dan is ready to come out and Phil hates labels so distancing them (not gonna work boys) is the best way for Dan coming out without dragging Phil with him
2) preparing for the shitstorm that happens when people catch on to Phil leaving flipside
(channelflip?) and opening a business/talent agency with dan. This really scream longevity which means the boys will stay together for a long time- as lovers/friend/business tycoons

i thought a #platonic arrangement would be to change places every so often? i'm happy to platonically share beds, i think most people would be fine, but not in a not-so-large bed in a bus for months in that sort of situation (+ im only just 6ft, i cant imagine it'd be comfortable). to me it just makes sense to swap now and then, so you don't have one person comfortable and doing pretty well while the other is permanently exhausted and hunched over. sharing is important in a friendship boys

I always get those two mixed up And i was referring more to them putting everything under Dan howell Ltd. after Phil's contract is up, than again I might be overthinking the average phandom members interest and knowledge in these things.
