Re the deppy and Ytbers: I didnt know Evan was going to act like a salty bitch but since he did it goes to show how almost all YTbers feel about them. They have the secret formula that is an interesting history, cute face, great personalities that aren't boring, and a cloud of ambiguity. Whats important to note is that their fanbase wasn't the first to form even though its always been very dedicated. In 2012 when all the other gleamer fanbases formed, the Phandom was still relatively young and broken into two yet, over time, it slowly accumulated more and more while the others died down. I would say 2015 was the height of the phandom in terms of how many new people joined and its been growing ever since at a steady rate. That's not saying its going to keep growing because even tho my ass is stuck here, many casual fans will move on. I think that's why they were quick to monetize now and also establish themselves a little more. Now Im hoping and praying they expand from YT and maybe join BBC again.
Does anyone else get the impression that with PJ and Pewds is trying to recreate a little of the phanbase? Like already a lot of us love them together because we are already emotionally attached to PJ but some aspects of their friendship remind me of deppys, except the..uhhh..only friendship part, ahem.

anyway, on the topic of moving: what if d&p go corporate - get an office, hire crew and assistants? we've seen many youtubers go this way over the years, i wonder what's stopping them (other than their atrocious schedule)

Maybe it's because they're both in established relationships that are publicly known so it's easier to joke around? While with Chris, everyone knew that Chris was single (was PJ still with his ex or Sophie during the Fantastic Foursome era?), so it must have been harder to joke about it because they had no safety net. And another thing could be that he saw hard people ship Deppy so he must've been scared and a little uncomfortable if the same happened with him and Chris? I'm really just speculating. Somebody who's a Pj expert please share your thoughts.

I sincerely hope they don't, one of the main things I love about Deppy is that all of their videos have that homemade feel, their editing and such is so personal to them. The day I watch a DINOF video that doesn't have a flash of comic sans half way through will be a very sad day indeed. I think they're proud of the fact that they do it all themselves, I certainly am. So yeah they have a terrible schedule because of this, but I'm sure their content wouldn't be so 'them' and I reckon they'd lose a few viewers as a result.
On the other hand, what's to say they don't have an office and assistants? We only recently discovered Marianne if I'm not mistaken. It definitely would be hard to imagine corporate D&P, it's just not their style.

There's a lot of joking around with shipping especially around youtubers (basically whenever some people make a collab they talk about what their ship name would be ) but I agree that the difference to Deppy (and maybe also Chris and PJ because they were close friends and Chris came out as bi?) is that it's normally just that: making fun of it. While with these two there was always the massive backstory and closeness that makes it more difficult to navigate around in a joking way. Same reason why Dan got so aggressive in 2012 imo. It was too realistic to laugh it off.
Also maybe PJ didn't want to be seen as "the other gay couple" of the fantastic foursome (because if people thought Deppy were together it doesn't take much to see them as two couples hanging out). So yeah, basically the more realistic a ship looks the more uncomfortable it is for the people involved if they aren't actually together
And PJ and Pewds is oviously a crackship, they both have girlfriends so

I highly doubt that will ever happen. I don't think Marianne has anything to do with their videos. Dan talked about being a control freak and complained about the ideas of people who wanted to do their work for them (just think about the original lyrics of "The Internet Is Here"). I don't think their brand allows them to go corporate, if that makes sense. It would have a negative impact on their content for sure. And even if that wasn't the case, they wouldn't want it anyway. If they considered at the beginning, I don't think they still do it now, after working with more people for TATINOF. They might get help with stuff they can't do themselves, but they won't get a crew for their videos. The only thing I could vaguely imagine would be an office for the two of them and even that is very unlikely.

Hm people tried really hard to keep D&P attendance of that wedding on the down low out of respect for the wedding couple and the fact that the pic came from a private account, so I wonder who leaked... That's not cool.

Well we did get a hint of moving again. I didn't write it down so I might be remembering this very wrongly but somebody said that he should just buy a house to have more storage and then he said I should (he said something afterward but my net froze). I'm sad about the "I" in that though. Still didn't remove my but it's like a jolt. If anyone remembers what he said better (and didn't have crappy net) please relay what he really said. Really enjoyed this live show. He gave opinions and was a bit sassy, great combo.
- Loved how over Alberta’s death Phil was. Not sure if I trust him with a dog now.
- Of course Dil is a diva because both Dan and Phil are. Tell us more about this Phil.
- Please Phil, my eyesight is way worse than yours.
- But yeah it is hard finding glasses that fit you. Excited to see his new glasses.
- Phil just admitting that he knows what Dan talks about during his live shows.
- Dan and Phil filming something tomorrow, but it is a secret for now. Them with their bloody secrets.
- Another moving mention. Just buy that house together already boys.
- Phil does not have the power to remove Dan from Tumblr.
- He should really stop roasting people, he is not good at it.

Thanks! You made me search for the baader-meinhof phenomenon. It's an interesting thing to search.
I can't believe I forgot about the cereal incident. That was domestic AF. I was low-key wishing we'd see 2 bowls of cereal and we did. So I was a happy little about that.
His story about his eyesight getting worse and needing new glasses is super relate-able to me because post-grad is making my eyesight grow worse and worse (and limited sleep + more than 15 hours of the day in front of the computer so...). I do hope he shows his new glasses soon. I'm excited to see him in it! I'm sure he looks handsome.
Him receiving a game from one of his BBC workmates is making me renew hope that they'd return to BBC. Deppy
Also, I really hope he & Dan go to the Harry Potter premiere. I wanna see them in suits.
I wonder if Dan was with the Lesters when they watched the musical. I hope he was.
I also love that Phil relies on Martyn for the merch info. I want more brother interaction between them. This little tidbits about the Lesters interacting with each other make me happy for an unknown reason. (I want more family anecdotes!)
