I liked the video even though it was uploaded right when i wanted to go to sleep, rude. and now I am just stuck listening to the asmr video i linked to phil that is actually good instead of the talking ones he watched; i don't like these either!!
i loved how creeped out he was at the roleplays and the emoji in his background commenting "wat" was perfect, the editing was great in general.

The camera angle isn't flattering at all! and the lighting makes his face paler and blend into the walls.
Does he not have any windows and natural light in there?

Definitely seems like the camera is closer to him than in his old room, because the room might be smaller.

i thought it was a cute video, asmr kind of weirds me out but i still really enjoyed phil's commentary and his editing was really funny as well

about the bedroom, im not really convinced that it's his bedroom, i think it's more of a space where he is just going to films his videos. Especially as the main point of them moving was more space/storage, so it would be weird for him to downsize to a much smaller room, it could be the camera angle but it looks quite cramped?

Watching this video made me realize what I like to see from Phil in videos. I'm not a fan of him watching the vids and "reacting" because, well, that's boring. I can watch ASMR videos any time, the only thing remotely interesting was watching being sexually aroused by the slime videos (and I was nearly expecting him to mention his sand video but he didn't !? whyyy).

However when he began to do his own ASMR, I was dying, he has great improvisation skills. I would love if Phil did a "series" like this, where he just straight away jumped in and did ASMR segments as random as the ones he did in this video. The "reacting" beforehand and then the merch plug was so disingenuous and lost my entire engagement, I was smiling throughout and then the merch just made me roll my eyes, he could have had at least plugged them in doing the similar whispering schtick, but suddenly going from quiet to HI IM AMAZINGPHL BUY OUR STUFF was off-putting, and lost the pacing and mood of the video. I would like to see more fluidity from him, less "staged", less structure and overly long introductions and conclusions, just a brief "HI" and a briefer "BYE".

He has the humour and personality for his videos, nothing can change that, but I just hope his structuring and decisive choice in video content becomes a little more professional. It's been the same for so long, and it would be nice for him to change it up slightly. A "mini" re-brand, if you will. Change is good, and I want to see positive progression in style.

Also his room is terrible. The furniture doesn't match. This may be too personal, but the weird covering of useless objects on surfaces reminds me of when my parents split up and my room in my Dad's house had every available surface covered in objects, aesthetically and deliberately placed, for a feeling of comfort, to "fill the place". It feels rather forced and rather fake, and doesn't feel like a lived in place. What I'm getting at is that I agree with JoeAverage, this should be called the beard room.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that this drawer doesn't open at all. This and the 'smaller bed' comment convinced me even more into the 'filming set' theory.

Uhh im no a fan of AMSR, actually it makes me a bit uneasy, but the video was very AP and I liked it. I was super surprised to see that Phil had uploaded, it was pretty much the last thing I was waiting for. nice surprise tho.

I'm not too sure about the bedroom tho... ofc i've seen the bedroom talk in here before and yes it is very weird how the room seems so much smaller than the last one and the smaller bed is also a bit weird thing. (Also the camera angle was... weird? How they D&P gonna fit in the frame or how they're gonna fit in there if they're still gonna film PINOF in Phil's room??) But i do believe they have their own bedrooms. A beardroom (such a good term) seems too much of an effort to keep a secret they have been kind of hinting on for months. Idk, i kind of still believe they have their own bedrooms where they sleep. But i mean, if we ever get to see Dan's floating bed and if it's a huge king sized bed, I might start believing that Phil's room is just a film set.

Also to me the rapidash doesn't look the same woop.

I noticed the rapidash living in the plant, how cute. Not my favourite of his videos but ASMR videos just aren't my thing. I don't get tingles, I just find the whispering kinda creepy and annoying so I almost skipped the part of the video where he was attempting it on his own. I'm a bit jealous of people who get some kind of physical response to this stuff, it feels like I'm missing out lol.

The stuff in his room does seem a bit smushed together in a small space, but if the apartment was otherwise nice and had the storage they wanted, maybe he was willing to downsize? Or it's totally just a spare to be used as a background for videos.

That video....made me so uncomfortable. Phil's deadpan euphemisms are sometimes so spot-on that they make me want to die It was just unbearable for me. But then he started doing his own ASMR and I was straight-up dying with laughter. He is in his best, for me, when he is improvising humorously in a less over-the-top-with-energy-and-enthusiasm sort of way. So the ASMR was gold.

This room...is tiny. Does he expect anyone to believe that they moved to a new place just to downsize on bedroom space and bed size? I mean maybe, maybe that is the case because there were other things about the duplex that made it worth it. Or, maybe he did scrunch all the furniture to one corner and then uses all the rest to be messy and have space. But to me it just seems like he's definitely not spending a ton of time there. (And I am of the opinion that DnP do need separate spaces/sometimes sleep in separate bedrooms, so perhaps there is a desk in the other part of the room or something, and this bed is for when they are on different sleep schedules/burned out. But really, I just can't imagine it being his main room, it look so cramped!!).

I am at "beardroom." I am 100% calling it this from now on. Also I agree that it looks like those drawers couldn't even open!!

I don't like ASMR very much so this wasn't my video but thankfully something else was far more interesting..

Look at how close the bed and drawers are together like why is this entire bedroom concentrated into one small corner?? Not to mention that suspicious af camera angle. Rapidash being in that room convinces me even more like that's such a thing you'd put up in the background to keep with the nerdy quirky colorful AmazingPhil brand just like all the other crap on his drawers.

Like Phil was talking about his new bedroom, and how he's keeping his old sheets and whatever the fuck else and I'm just here like

I liked the video, it was pretty funny. The angle was too weird for me though. I have ASMR, so seeing him so creeped out by it was hilarious! i was lowkey hoping he would watch one of dodie's asmr videos

His bedroom tho. How dumb do they think we are? His "bedroom" is so cramped it's ridiculous and one of their reasons for moving was to have more space. I don't buy it for a second. I'm all for calling it the beardroom.

The first thing I noticed was the mirror edge on his bed, but it took me a bit to figure out what it was. I thought he got a bed with an edging that matched his sheets for a second... He's got a white bed though! Seems to fit in with the general theme in the new place (grey and white), though I'm not a fan of the beside table/dresser. His room really does look quite a bit smaller than the old one, and I'm not too into the lighting/camera angle; he looks washed out and a bit flat. The Rapidash is adorable! Anyone know what that black thing with the red button on the right side of the dresser is?

If his bedroom is as big as we can see from the video (he could've maybe been forced to use half of it for some reason, idk), then I have to say this is a pretty big support to the whole 'Phil's 'bedroom' is just a set' theory. That looks so uncomfortable to live it!

I didn't really like the first half. I'm pretty crept out by human voice ASMR though (I think it's the someone-staring-me-in-the-face-and-whispering thing), so I don't think it's on Phil. That bit is kind of boring in general IMO. His interpretation of ASMR made me laugh like a hyena, though I don't really know why. I just started laughing and couldn't stop.

that's... unreasonably cramped, and really pushes me over the edge of the room being used as a spare/for filming. i also don't feel like the bed looks much smaller? maybe it's the angle but that was a strange comment to me. made me think about how a "moon bed" sounds huge, and in comparison to that would make you fall off if you weren't thinking.

it does appear smaller than the gaming room, but it might just be because the gaming room is so sparsely decorated and a wide shot to fit the two of them. also not sure how PINOF would be filmed in this new space, guess we'll have to see.

phil said his bedroom was cozy but i didn't realize he meant the size of a college dorm room jesus :wtf: i love seeing the pillow he stole from the youtube space london when they met the ceo of youtube in the background, but the dresser needs to go. it's so clunky and doesn't match his bed and i'm annoyed. the video felt weirdly sexual to me and lowkey creeped me out but was ...interesting at least.

It seems like Dan has finally got his revenge for having to sleep in that cramped bunk for 3 months while Phil got the plush double bed to himself.
He has not only taken what is likely the master bedroom for himself but he is also using part of their downstairs living area as his filming space while poor Phil has only got the walk in closet to both sleep and film in.

A thing I noticed after scrolling through tumblr a bit was that none of Phil's dresser stuff from the old place made it into the new one--and I mean none.

It's interesting that Phil's new decorations are generally less personalized--more plants, less things related to his hobbies (which I'd think he would like more). Is this him trying to be professional, or just using things they have lying around to decorate the empty space? Where did the other stuff go, hmmm?

they do fit the theme, perhaps he still quite liked them and they're in a real bedroom? (shared or not, i don't think this could possibly be where he sleeps)

same to the desk knickknacks. i personally decorate the same way, with things i identify with and get emotionally attached to, but i'm not sure i would show my favorites to the internet. perhaps some things meant too much to not see unless he was filming.

I love asmr and I love Phil so this was an excellent video for me, I haven't had a notification about it though which is weird I saw it on twitter first. I'm a bit disturbed that phil doesn't apparently know the difference between a glass and a vase though

I think the room is probably filmed at a weird angle and all squished together in one corner because he probably hadn't finished unpacking, it's probably a forest of boxes and clothes scattered everywhere if the state of his room after touring was anything to go by.

I actually liked this video, I love ASMR but the ones he chose were a bit meh, like I have watched some of those asmrtist before and they definitely have better videos but those were a bit boring, i'm not a big fan of the role plays either, it doesn't weird me out but it doesn't relax me or give tingles either. I wish Phil searched specifically non talking ASMR, maybe he'd enjoy it a bit more.

I did liked his attempt tho, like it didn't work for me but it wasn't entirely bad, maybe if he talked softer and did everything a bit slower (like in the sand video) then i would totally subscribe to ASMRPhil
