It was ascertained that YouNow makes exceptions to their contracts for "outstanding talent", and I'm sure Deppy fit the bill . From their website: "THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS SERVE AS GENERAL GUIDELINES. WE MAY DENY ANY APPLICATION THAT CONFORMS TO THESE GUIDELINES, OR MAKE EXCEPTIONS FOR OUTSTANDING TALENT, AT OUR DISCRETION."

I probably wouldn't stop watching their videos altogether, but I can't deny that the liveshows make me feel a lot more connected.

I had a similar experience with a tablet I took before wisdom teeth removal to help me 'relax'. Insisted on watching Zoolander and wouldn't stop doing the blue steel pose. Plz god let Phil take something that makes him act funny

Also how did that girl/everyone here know he needs to get his wisdom teeth removed? Did he say something about it before he left for America? I can't remember

Welcome! I haven't posted in while either, but I'm going to try to start again.

Personally, I think it's unlikely that he or Phil will actually put a label on their sexualities any time soon. They may do it if they eventually announce a relationship, if they feel it's necessary to clarify "I'm bi not gay", but for now I think they'd prefer not to label.

If Dan was to say casually in a liveshow or a tweet "I'm bi" (or any other label) it would be an event for in the youtube community. The liveshow clip or the tweet screencap would be circulated more widely than the phandom. There would be a TenEighty article, at the very least. If We Are Unicorns covered the bottom tweet incident, do you think they'd ignore an explicit coming out? I don't think Dan wants that kind of attention*. I don't think he wants to be an LGBT+ youtuber. I think he wants to not be in the closet. I think his goal is to hint about is sexuality until everyone who cares to notice knows he's not straight, but nobody can point to any specific piece of "evidence" and claim to know his sexuality.

His main tweet wasn't about male attraction. His main tweet was relatable insecurity about body standards. He's not hinting about male attraction to 3.1M twitter followers, he's hinting to whatever fraction of those bother to do another few clicks to read his replies. Apart from CrunchyRoll spon, which some have managed to dismiss as phanservice, he confines his hinting to only the most invested members of his audience, those who watch his liveshows and read his twitter replies. It's selective honesty, focusing on the fraction of his audience who care most.

I'm really loving that Dan is feeling comfortable expressing his interest subtly. And I'm not-so-secretly hoping one day he'll feel free to express his interest in Phil openly

But I gotta agree, I don't think he'll discuss it directly. First that would pretty much expose Phil, who seems much more reticent to share disclaimer for antiphans: of course they could just be bffls. But also, and I'm projecting here, but if I were 25 and knew my largest demographic was underage girls, I'd avoid the topic like the plague.

I don't know if he needs surgery but when I got my wisdom tooth removed the dentist injected anesthetic into the roof of my mouth, my tooth was growing sideways so it just "rolled" out, the experience was a bit weird because the dentist had to hold onto my body and I had to turn my head to force the tooth out but it didn't hurt I say Phil's tooth is probably one that is growing weirdly because I still have the other three teeth that have grown fine

I was just thinking out loud since Phil is almost at 60 days, the joint show was on Dan's channel, and Phil's lack of excitement about them. I was just curious what everyone's thoughts were if Phil were to decide to stop doing them.

Answering: yes, I would keep watching them just as much as I watch them now, but I'm a bit different because I already don't watch much of the liveshows (only when it's them together I do watch it live) and just catch up with the best moments when someone uploads on yt later (I can't stand younow and lag), so I don't think it will have THAT much impact for me. I'm suffering now from the lack of DAPG vids and new topics of discussion.

I'm not sure how much of a loss it would be if phil stopped live shows. he's nowhere near as candid about topics as dan. he's clearly just plodding his way through them most of the time and reading out names for ages haha.
you'd think he'd be great at waffling on since he's so good at conversation

tbh I watch the recaps more than i watch the actual live show though
