I really can't see Phil shouting/roaring because he hates confrontations. You can see in videos that he cowers in such situations (e.g. Dad incident). Same, I think Phil is scary when he is angry in his own way. I know it's not a weak characteristic but as someone who likes shouting matches (I have anger issues) when you can't give me the same intensity that I have it makes me feel superior than you. Like when I see Phil in theDad incident video. He was like hiding or something.
