While you're working for IRL, can you rec them removing the Japan-themed merch and offer some minimalist design alternatives?

My theory is appendicitis, although I have nothing to back that up! It just seems like a classic young-man-at-uni ignores symptoms type thing that would then require hospitalisation for a day or so. The picture of him asleep makes it look like he had surgery.
