Well there's a user called danisnotonfire who's only post history is on r/GuildWars2. The account is almost 8 years old, it's possible that is Dan's actual account and he just lurks.

Ever since they came out, I've been overanalyzing every outside relationship they have and I feel like them instantly hanging out with John really reflects on how respectful and Good a human John is.

Like, there's no one that's really seen it ALL like John. Assuming he stayed in the loop, he saw them get to know each other, flirt, get together, be relatively "public" about their ~relationship. He watched them shut that down, defend and distance themselves, and then rebuild it all again over the last few years. And through it all, he regularly caught up with them, and never once did anything but remain kind and supportive of however they were expressing themselves.

Look, I know I'm digging deep into a human we barely know... but like John is a Good Dude and I just really find it lovely that they continue to meet up with him. IT CUTE.

I realize this is my second post in a row just gushing about John but I'm indulging. John is genuinely a Nice Person and a Good Dude. I've kept up with his social media and watched his vids/streams for some time now and like, he's really got his head in the right place. Seriously one of the least problematic people I've ever encountered on the internet. I think it speaks volumes about both John and D&P that they've managed to keep up for this long and still want to reconnect when possible.

Essentially, John started out as a fan of Phil's I guess, so it's lovely that they're actually still friends over 10 years later.

Seconding everything both of you said. I love watching his gaming streams just because of how chill and sweet he is. He's a really good example of someone that does youtube and streaming for the love of it; he's got a full time job, he doesn't need the money. He's just been there since the start and... enjoys it.

yes! i'd love to see that collab, i think it's so nice that he's friends with his first ever subscriber! also that is such a good picture of the three of them. i had a look at the website of the bar they're at, seems quite classy!

while we’re appreciating phil i also want to mention how much i love his shoulders/shoulder blades, especially when he wears tighter fitting tees nice, okay thank you i’ve said my part.

Dan always takes such nice pictures of Phil. I also immediately thought of the festive ditl where he randomly showed off Phil's butt while he was bending over in front of their fireplace. That was wild for 2014.
